Really enjoyed working with BulletROOF, especially ***. He was very professional, competent and responsive throughout the roof and gutter replacement. Would highly recommend them and their team to anyone looking for a new roof. They protected our plants, HVAC units and waterfall plus the clean up afterwards was excellent. Nails were not found which was one of our concerns.

We just finished our roof replacement with bullet roof. *** was our PM and made the process extremely smooth from the start. Day 1 he thoroughly inspected our roof. He found evidence of hail damage (that other contractors had not found) and then worked with us to get it approved with insurance. The crew was great and super friendly. They finished the job in 1 day. Strongly recommend *** and the team for all your roofing needs.

Our roof suffered from storm damage over the years and from the last big one back in February we started to experience leaks in certain areas after big rain. At that point we had no choice but to have the roof replaced immediately. We checked several contractors work in our neighborhood and finally decided to go with Bullet Roof. *** was instrumental in navigating us through the stress free process and we were able to be enjoying our new roof in no time! Thank you Bullet Roof!! Highly recommend these guys!

BulletROOF, a quarantine story. So *** with BulletROOF was offering free roof inspections around the neighborhood. My boyfriend and I were both stuck at home so we figured, why not. We knew we needed a new one. We'd already had it inspected twice but didn't have the money for a full replacement right now. How could a third opinion hurt?

One thing BulletROOF did that we didn't even know about with the other companies' inspectors was paying with insurance. *** checked for weather/wind/storm damage and found plenty he thought would make us qualify. Not only did he give us this valuable information, but helped us submit a claim with the evidence. A valuable liason to have, since going between the contract company and the insurance is pretty tedious. It's wonderful to have a company who will deal with that directly and make the whole process smoother.

BulletROOF walked us through our options, what to expect in regards to preparation and noise, how to protect our attic/outdoor stuff on the day of the roof repair, and came on the appointed day. They started about 7am and finished before 5pm - a whole roof replaced in just a day. Our curb appeal is so much improved now - no more discolored loose shingles and the peace of mind that nothing is going to soak through on us.

The whole experience top to bottom was great. We got to deal with the same person the whole way through, he was super friendly and knowledgeable, addressed our concerns, helped us get the best out of what could've been a very expensive situation, and we're so happy we finally got this done.

Although I wish to cancel my contract with BulletRoof, the president has threatened legal action and refuses to refund my insurance check.
Back on March 7, 2020, I signed a contingency agreement for BulletRoof to replace my roof. The file was claimed and as of April, my claim was approved and ***, my sales rep, came over, finalized paperwork, selected roof shingle color, and picked up my insurance check. They have a group that can arrange for mortgage holder to sign off on, and with COVID, working from home, and homeschooling a 2nd grader, I said sure! So, on June 1, I get a letter from my insurance company that BulletRoof re-submitted for some other additions, and that my roof costed close to 19K to replace! To make matters worse, they agreed to take a lesser amount of 14K, to write off "overhead and profit". I was flabbergasted! It felt like the company was trying to fleece my insurance and that quote was way to high, and wanted to move on from BulletRoof. To add to that, I live in a pretty big neighboorhood, almost 400 homes, and saw a few homes (approximately 20 homes) getting roofs replaced and BulletRoof maybe did 1-2, so thought there was something there and just wanted to look into some other options, especially between the quote and the time it was taking. So, asked my Sales Rep to cancel, he said okay. That was on 1 June. I call the company 4 June to find out if its in process, and got a call back from the VP of Sales, ***, and by the time that conversation was finished, he politely informed me that he didn't want to do business with customers like myself and told me his assistant would issue the check next day, since I felt like it was unfair they were keeping the $1500 cancellation fee when I felt like they didn't live up to their end of the bargain (i.e., I have a supplementary insurance where if I file a claim, I would get reimbursed for the deductible, but it has a certain time for it - 90 days - the contingency agreement dated 7 March said the roof would be replaced in 30 days?). So, later in the evening on 4 June, we get a call from the president of the company, ***, practically begging for our business. I politely told him that his VP didn't want to do business with us, and he promised all these free upgrades, that he would pay me as a GC given my time in it, I would only deal with him, I can keep the 2nd check the insurance company issued, lifetime warranty, etc. Told him I would talk to my husband. Then he and my husband talk, my husband informs him similar, that we are ready to move on, would not like to retain their services, and there is simply a trust issue now and a huge communication issue (we were told it could have been done, but the adjusted at our insurance agency was slow), so given EVERYTHING that happened. Then he tells my husband, that he's prepared for legal action, that we would not return the funds under any circumstances, and that he would be at our house on 5 June to meet him personally. I called him back, and asked if he threatened legal action, and he told me there must be miscommunication between my husband and I, that he said no such thing, and hung on me! Needless to say, we have not heard anything from anyone, and felt this was the absolutely best way to handle this, given this company is holding hostage nearly an 11K check and under no circumstances will go ANYWHERE near our roof given what's happened!

Desired Outcome

We absolutely need our money back, because we need to get our roof replaced. Given everything that's happened, we feel like the cancellation fee should not be enforced by BulletRoof, because BulletRoof didn't live up to their end of the bargain. Furthermore, they are blaming the insurance adjuster due to lack of response, and I informed them that they should have let us know, because after all it is our adjuster. I told ***, if I would have known they were going to resubmit for nearly 19K to replace our roof initially, we would have gone with some other quotes, like my insurance adjuster asked me to do when they cut the check.

Furthermore, after I endorsed the insurance check, and I was informed by my Sales Rep *** that BulletRoof would handle getting endorsement by the mortgage company. I have a copy of the cancelled check, and have confirmed that they indeed DID NOT go about getting endorsement with my mortgage company! More proof that BulletRoof did not take actions as agreed upon during our contract! I can certainly provide this proof, i.e., a copy of the cancelled check, but chose not to upload as it has their banking information.

Thank you for your response. In the spirit of transparency, please email me tracking information for the refund to my email address on file with BulletRoof. I will not consider this matter closed until refund has actually been received and funds have cleared my account.
