If they have a receipt for Town & Country for asphalt to my drive, someone is lying because I specifically asked Mr [redacted] where he got the asphalt and he replied [redacted] & [redacted] In regards to the weather, it was not sprinkling, it was a constant light rain and raining enough to soak everything When the initial install was completed, all Mr [redacted] did was scrape and level the driveWhen he was working on the area in question, he scraped down approximately 2-inches, then pushed rock from another area of the drive to level out the areaThe rock was never rolled and there was never any new rock brought in, like he said would be done The area in question does not have a natural spring in itIf there were a natural spring, during the summer months, when it is dry, the water would seep up through broken drive and driveway would be wet thereIt would also have been muddy when it was not paved, which never happenedThe area would dry during summer months and only become an issue when there was a lot of precipitationAlso, if there were a natural spring at that location, it would work its way out and exit the drive following the path of least resistanceThere are no wet spots around my driveThe unpaved driveway only became an issue when it rained, which was reason I wanted drive pavedMr [redacted] was aware of the issue, when he quoted the installHe was also informed that, yes there had been gravel laid previously in the drive, but was done as a general maintenance issue due to wear and tearThere had not been any gravel placed on drive the years previous to the asphalt install, if not longer The initial repair was not completed correctly eitherPer my conversation with Mr [redacted] he stated he was going to cut the section out, remove asphalt, dig down 8-inches, install rock, then inches of asphaltUpon inspection of the repair, now that it's broken up, there was obviously no rock added and the asphalt is barely an inch thickThere are other areas that are starting to crack and break, that are no where near the damaged area being discussedIn several locations, the asphalt is not even 1/inch thick It is obvious that Mr [redacted] is not willing to "warranty" and repair his workThat is fineI no longer want him to repair his work, as it will not be done correctly and there will still be further issues

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 16, 2015/08/18) */
THIS CASE IS NOT RESOLVED!
I have gotten other proposals by QUALIFIED companies in my area and all say that whichever company I chose (Bullford Paving) to do what they did to my driveway have done Such a terrible job that I should be taking them to courtBecause all they did was ruin my drivewayIn order to make it right they all said they would have to remove the exsisting base (and the path of unrolled pavment) that was set in place by Gene or Don (whichever name he chooses for the day) ultimately Bullford paving and use appropriate stone and grade to appropriate finish before any pavement could be laid and gurantees could be madeThey were supposed to use #stone, compact with compactor and then bring in finer stone to lay on the #stone to "fill in" to make a harder base by again compacting with compactorI was told by Gene or Don (again, whichever name he chooses for the day) to park on it for a month to help compact itWhy he didn't use a compactor I have no clue
That's why I didn't say anything Heather and Doug he said he would be back but didnt come back for over monthsPlus it was always rainingWhat could he have done? I know...give me more excuses on why he couldn't do the jobHe knew I was putting up a fence, so why He stated come out feet on proposal was wrong right from the get goI called him on the issueHe said not to worry he knew exactly what I needed (Although he now denies any conversation took place) To go ahead and mark with spray paint and he would dig from thereI did exactly thatHere's the proof the conversation took place, it's on my drivewayHe dug to the line we verbally agreed on, spread out stone to that line and weeks later laid an unfinished blanket of pavement to the line we verbally agreed onHow can that happen one would say? Because he told me to do itBecause we conversed about the proposal being wrongCome to my house and you'll seeId love to show you and talk to you about this but I know that won't happen
Moving on, The other companies I received proposals from all asked what SCABS came and did this? They asked why is there a blanket of unrolled pavement in my driveway? Only Scabs would do that
I admit I should have done my research on this MEDIOCRE company, but still, no reason for them to do what They did to me and my familySo now seems my only option is to cut my loss and warn EVERYONE about this con businessI've contacted my home owners association to let other residents aware of the scam job Bullford Paving is and I'm in currently in process of contacting the Attorney General about my complaint
I researched after the fact of getting done over by Bullford Paving, and it turns out this company, Bullford Paving and Seal Coatings used to be called D and C Paving run by Donald Gene *** The same guy that claims he's not the owner of Bullford PavingHe hides behind his girlfriends name with Bullford Paving because he ran his deceased fathers company into the groundTo many complaints to listSo many in fact that the Attorney General filed a class action law suit on
D and C pavingGoogle it if you don't believe meHe sold his equipment and went MIAFiled Bankruptcy and is wanted by the IRS for tax evasionSo now A few years later he resurfaces, no pun intendedHe starts another company under a different name, rents his equipment from Brad Craig Trucking, even though he claims he owns all the equipment and hides behind an owner who is named Heather *** People like this shouldn't be in businessThey should at least give me half a refund cause after all he screwed up my drive way and I'm going to have to pay a *** of alot more to fix his screw job

There is a whole lot of assumtion and deflamation of character coming from Mr***We have a contract signed by DOUG *** he is who you delt withI am BULLFORD PAVING, have never been D and C paving, have never owned d and c pavingDon *** has no ownership in my company what so everYou really should check your facts before you repeat lies coming from a company that has no equipment, no license or insurance to even work in ValpoOne of my employess was fired three days before he went with All around asphalt to your home and came back to my company asking for his job back and told me everything Chad *** said to you because he was with himWe have pictures, contracts, and phone records to prove nothing was said about the contract being wrong until after your fence was put upWe laid your neighbors before yours was even dug out, if we are such scabs why didnt you pull out then? I do almost a thousand jobs a year paving and sealcoating yet your the ONLY one thats complainingWe offered to even do the extra square foot for only material no labor and you brought up the extra stone that was laid, if you meant to get technical its its actually over six inches further from the line your stating because we lay extra to have a solid base for your egdes so they dont crackIts further out than your fence, where you know the aspahlt isnt being laidAt this point im contacting my lawyer for deflamation of characterfor several lies that you have stated against my company, I mean honestly who "hides" from the irs? You cant hide from the Irs Mr***AND YOU DELT WITH DOUG NOT DON OR GENE, READ THE CONTRACT! And for the record, Im NOT Don *** girlfriend so thats another lie!!!
OFFER:
The only offer im willing to do is $i have way more than the $already in his job and receipts to prove itThe asphalt is the easiest part, we tore out and hauled away six loads of dirt and brought stone and have six men there at over eight hours labor

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
***,
I respectfully decline to the offer of a dollar refundHere's whyEvery contractor I have come over to give me a quote to finish the exsisting job say that ALL the stone laid by your company was done so improperly and in order for them to finish my driveway they state that the exsisting stone must be removed so that the finishing of the job can be properly restarted over
The quotes I have recieved are more than double in cost with, a portion of that to take out the inadiquit material that Gene had installedBecause of this fact, I payed you dollars for inadiquit work and now I'll have to pay a significant amount more to have somebody else come and redo my drivwayI really would like for you to come and take look for your self and meet with me about this debauchery
For the record, I myself have never dealt with Doug *** I have only dealt with a man who called himself "Gene"To some he goes by the name "Don"Doug *** is mearly your representative who stopped by on behalf of Gene and met briefly with my wife who signed the proposal unknowingly of any details Gene and I had agreed uponYou claim that proposal is the official agreement between our transactionHowever, as my driveway currently lays unfinished proves otherwise
Having that you have never been to my house to see the unsatisfactory work I am complaining about that your company is responsible for, I can attest to you my driveway has a portion of leftover asphalt from my neighbors driveway Gene put there because he figured my neighbors job wrongHe dumped it in my drivewayThis fact denounces the claim my driveway wasn't dug out before your company applied asphalt to my neighbors property
Further more, Gene didn't lay inches of extra base to strengthen the shoulderIf that were true I'd consider his side of the story to be accurate and I'd be the one at fault hereBut that's not the caseHe actually laid to inches and that's because of the conscious, verbal agreement he and myself madeNot youNot Doug, just Gene and myselfGene and myself also made a conscious verbal agreement, during the same phone conversation I stated his paper proposal was wrong, and he instructed me that I was to mark the ground with spray paint and he would connect the lines from points "A","B" and "C"Then start the dig outAgain he stayed not to worry he knew exactly what I wantedAnd as the condition my driveway is in now, Gene did exactly that
The only offer I feel you should be offering me to make this right is to give me back my dollars in full
Take your stone and put my driveway back the exact way it was before your company came and screwed it all upThis is not my fault like you're making it out to beMake this rightIf you are the person in charge like you claim then make this right
Regards

The asphalt on his driveway is surface asphalt we have receipt from town amd country asphalt to prove it. If it was raining to hard to pave the union companies that make it do...

not even make it let alone sell it. It started to sprinkle that day, which will not hurt the asphalt considering the roller is wetting the asphalt the entire time your paving. When we came out to do the intial repair, after several months of drying, when we pulled up the asphalt, we discovered the asphalt was soaking wet underneath and all the rock had went down into the wet clay area of the driveway that Mr. [redacted] is talking about. That tells us that there is a natural spring underneath this area of which he continues to have problems with. Its not the whole driveway its only that area. We repaired it once on initial compliant. When we explained the water problem, he even stated he had added stone there several times to no avial, of the yrs, that no matter what it would just keep eroding away. Our company has done all that we can, until coustomer does something to fix water problem underneath the ground, it will continue to erode away asphalt. We have several pictures to prove work was properly preformed, and it is definantly driveway aspahlt. We would like to see all of coustomers four bids stating what company claims is used on driveway ect.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2015/11/03) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If they have a receipt for Town & Country for asphalt to my drive, someone is lying because I specifically asked Mr. [redacted] where he got the asphalt and he replied [redacted] & [redacted]
In regards to the weather, it was not sprinkling, it was a constant light rain and raining enough to soak everything.
When the initial install was completed, all Mr. [redacted] did was scrape and level the drive. When he was working on the area in question, he scraped down approximately 2-3 inches, then pushed rock from another area of the drive to level out the area. The rock was never rolled and there was never any new rock brought in, like he said would be done.
The area in question does not have a natural spring in it. If there were a natural spring, during the summer months, when it is dry, the water would seep up through broken drive and driveway would be wet there. It would also have been muddy when it was not paved, which never happened. The area would dry during summer months and only become an issue when there was a lot of precipitation. Also, if there were a natural spring at that location, it would work its way out and exit the drive following the path of least resistance. There are no wet spots around my drive. The unpaved driveway only became an issue when it rained, which was reason I wanted drive paved. Mr. [redacted] was aware of the issue, when he quoted the install. He was also informed that, yes there had been gravel laid previously in the drive, but was done as a general maintenance issue due to normal wear and tear. There had not been any gravel placed on drive the 5 years previous to the asphalt install, if not longer.
The initial repair was not completed correctly either. Per my conversation with Mr. [redacted] he stated he was going to cut the section out, remove asphalt, dig down 8-10 inches, install rock, then 4 inches of asphalt. Upon inspection of the repair, now that it's broken up, there was obviously no rock added and the asphalt is barely an inch thick. There are other areas that are starting to crack and break, that are no where near the damaged area being discussed. In several locations, the asphalt is not even 1/2 inch thick.
It is obvious that Mr. [redacted] is not willing to "warranty" and repair his work. That is fine. I no longer want him to repair his work, as it will not be done correctly and there will still be further issues.
