Hot tub purchased has a lifetime warranty on the shell. Bull frog refuses to send someone to my residence to fix the hot tub as warranteed.
Hot tub was purchased at McAlarney's Pool & Spas, Marietta, OH in 2005. The hot tub has a lifetime warranty on the shell. The shell of the hot tub as a crack below the waterline and had to be drained because it leaks water. My initial phone call to McAlarney's I was told that they would contact Bull Frog Spas about the crack. When McAlarney's spoke to me after talking with Bull Frog Spas I was told that I could upgrade to a new hot tub for $2,000 or I would be put on a waiting list for repair. That Bull Frog Spas would not send anyone to fix the spa until they had other warranty work in our area or I would have to pay for them to come to fix it. I was not given any time frame as to when the repair would take place because I would have to wait until someone else in the area had a problem with their hot tub, if ever. I contacted Bull Frog warranty department I told them that waiting for whenever was not acceptable. They claimed that they were unaware that the hot tub was actually leaking they would discuss and call me back. I spoke to [redacted] and told him that shell out $2,000 was not an option. He told me that he would contact McAlarney's and see if they could get a hot tub repair company, boat repair company, or bath tub repair company to repair the hot tub. I spoke with McAlarney's today XX-XX-XX and was told that Bull Frog Spas felt bad that I am unable to use my hot tub so they would replace the hot tub for $1,000 which would cover shipping and installation by McAlarney's. I told them that a hot tub is a luxury and I am unable to spend that amount of money at this time I want the tub repaired. They then proceeded to tell me that if they had a bath tub repair business to come and repair the tub that it would look terrible and that Bull Frog would no longer be comfortable warranting the product as it was not repaired by a licensed professional. I told them that I want the hot tub repaired correctly with thewarranty still in effect, and that Bull Frog Spas should not be selling their hot tubs in the area if they are unable to provide the warranty work. I also told them that if Bull Frog Spas wants me to upgrade to a new hot tub then it should be at their sole expense and should not cost me anything. I was told by McAlarney's that they would have someone from Bull Frog Spas to contact me.
