Bullock Heating & Cooling, Inc. Reviews (3)

The customers have a ductless system that was installed by another contractor approx.. 1 yr ago.  They stated that the system had never worked properly and the original contractor had been out several times, but would no longer answer their calls.
This system consists of a unit in the bedroom,...

one in the living room, and an outdoor unit.  We were contacted by them because the outdoor unit was freezing up and the bedroom unit was not working. Our technician discovered a leak in the bedroom unit.  He also explained to the customers that the unit should not be mounted on an inside wall because the drain lines were running down the inside wall and would eventually cause severe problems.  They were given a quote of 1295. to move the unit to an exterior wall and reconnect electrical and line set.  The owner approved that and that work was completed on 1-14-16.  The bedroom unit was working fine after completion.
On 1-15-16, the customer had not heat from the living room unit.  Our technician was there for 3.75 hours trying to diagnose the problem.  He had to make several calls trying to get the manufacturer’s rep to advise as this is not a common brand of equipment.  The manufacturer said it needed a control board.
We advised the customer, got their ok, and ordered the board.  When we went back out to replace the board, it did not fix the problem.  After another 6.25 hours, and several frustrating calls to the manufacturer, we were getting nowhere.  One of the suppliers said they won’t even discuss that brand and no longer do business with them.  Another manufacturer’s rep said it needed a TXV valve.  Before giving the customer a price on that, we determined that due to it being installed by another contractor and not knowing what damage was done, and we had no support from the manufacturer, we could not guarantee that the customer would not have any more problems with the living room unit.  We did not charge them anything for the 6.25 hours spent that day nor were they charged anything for the control board.  The installing contractor should be responsible for resolving the ongoing issues with this.
We totally disagree that there was any harassment involved.  The wife came into our office to get a receipt, and our Service Manager spoke with her to explain our position.  She began to cry and walked out the door.  He followed her out to see if she was ok as she was parked right in front of our office.  As soon as she said she didn’t want to talk to him, he came back in.
The husband then came to the office, paid the $300. for the  3.75 hrs that was billed for the living room unit.
The next thing we know, they have posted a very derogatory review on this site.

I do not accept what Bullock Heating and Cooling responded with. They have lied about several things. First of all we called them to fix a problem and that problem was never fixed. They moved a unit, which was in the bedroom, that was currently working. They should have addressed the problem of the unit in the living room first to determine if the unit was even fixable in the first place. I think that they saw that the first company that installed the unit got the better if us and they thought that they would jump on the band wagon and see what they could get from us. How is that a good way to do business? Second I will repeat what happened the day that I went to get the receipt. I went to get a receipt from them that I had previously lost. While there the lady in the front office told me that the manager wanted to speak with me. I told her that it was fine and that I would speak with him. He then took me into another room adjacent to the front office and asked me if I had  the three hundred dollars that we owed them. I told the manager that I did't and that he would have to talk to my husband. He then had a paper in front of him that basically stated that they could no longer waste anymore time on our heater and that they wanted me to sign the paper and I then refused to sign anything and told the manager that he would have to talk to my husband. He asked if there was a number where he could be reached. I told him that my husband does not have a cell phone. I then got up and left. I exited the room that we were in and went through the front office where the secretary was. As I was walking to my car I heard the door open and then shut again and then realized that the manager was following me. I got into the car and then rolled down the window. He asked me if I was mad at them and I told him that yes I was because he told my husband that they would work on the heater until it was fixed. I THEN started to cry. I told him that I have had to go through all of this stuff just because I was trying to help someone out and that is what made me upset. I then asked him to move so that I could leave and he just stood there. I had to ask him to move atlas  two more times before he agreed to move. The is what happened. The truth and not something fabricated. My dad always told me that if you tell one lie then you have to come up with ten more to cover up the first one. Hence the reply that bullock heating and cooling that was filled with lies. You should never follow anyone to their car NO MATTER WHAT. That man harassed me. So no I don't except his reply.
