Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 7, 2015/09/06) */ Let me preface my responce to this complaint first of all by saying that we have been in buisiness since the early 90's and have never had a complaint. My company and its employees are very sensative to our clients needs and seeing to it that we... take care of their problems. The gentleman that filed the complaint called our office on 8-12-15 saying that sewer was backing up into his house. Our company was booked for the week but worked him into the schedule on 8-13-15. When the company employees arrived at the residence it was found that indeed the main line was clogged causing sewage to back up in the house. Our employees had to pull the toilet stool to auger out the main line wich we do on a daily basis. We openened the drain line,It was noticed when reinstalling the toilet stool that the stool flange was clocked wrong when installed originally, so we installed the toilet exactly as it was. At that point the owner asked if we would pump both of his septic tanks. We pumped the tanks and charged him full price on the first tank $150.00 and discounted the second tank to $20.00. The owner was very happy with the work and the amount of the bill at that point, stating that the last company he used charged him $300.00 for pumping the two tanks, he paid the employees and they were on there way to the next job. On the morning of 8-14-15 the gentleman called saying that his toilet was leaking because our employees installed it incorrectly, he was obviously aggetated wich I understood. I then sent the same two service men out immediately with a flange repair kit and water supply line to fix the problem. When my employees arrived at the residence wich is approximately 1 hour from the companies shop the man was very aggetated and confrontational. When my employees tried to explain the cause of the problem that the flange was clocked wrong and that it was actually the water supply leaking, he accused them of not knowing what they were doing and began cursing at them. One of the companies employees did lose his patience and asked the gentleman to come into the bathroom and he would show him what the f'ing problem was wich he later apologized for. The owner then cursed at my employees further and stormed outside. The servicemen finished installing the flange kit and new supply line, cleaned up and left with the owner still out in his yard. The company did not charge for the additional repairs. When the employees drove back into cell phone coverage they called me to let me know what had happened. Later that afternoon when I returned to the office I had a message to call the owner of the property. I called him and he immediately began to tell me that my employees had cursed at him and threatened him and wanted to know how I would like it if he owned my company. Although my employee did curse wich he should not have, it was not directed at the owner, and he was never threatened. I did not tell the gentleman that I did not care that my employees spoke to him in this manner, I simply told him that I did not believe him. He then got more aggetated and began cursing at me and told me that he had the whole incident recorded yet refused to play it for me. He proceeded to tell me that our company did not know what we were doing and that the company employees are not licensed plumbers. I told him that he was correct that we are not licensed plumbers because we are not in the plumbing buisiness that we are in the septic system buisiness in which we have all of the appropriate licensing. I proceeded to tell him that maybe he should start his own septic company, he informed me that he had more class than that and then asked me to come down to his property. I declined the invite and hung up. Due to the fact that the gentleman was so aggressive and confrontational when my employees arrived the second time they decided to take before and after pictures of the repairs made, wich I will gladly provide opon request. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
