Bullseye RV Repair Reviews (6)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Bullseye RV never addressed the “true” issue as stated in my letter to Revdex.com. After BRV replaced the cooling core in my refrigerator it was taking over a week to cool down to the correct temperature. What normally took 1 – 2 days was now taking a week and as time went on we were up to nearly two weeks. Something was wrong! BRV did not know how to fix my issue and chose to ignore me rather tell me they could not fix the refrigerator. Another repair facility repaired the issue and cleaned up the mess he left me on the back of my refrigerator.

Regards,

Mr. [redacted]’s “issue” is that the problem he is now having (the fridge taking too long to cool), is not the problem he paid Bullseye RV to fix.

His call about the fridge was not ignored or unanswered. I responded to him in writing telling him I would no longer work for him.

Mr. [redacted] already received $680.00 worth of parts and labor he did not pay for. It is not Bullseye RV’s responsibility to pay to have Mr. [redacted]’s 10 year old fridge serviced.

Bullseye RV will not pay to have Mr. [redacted]’s fridge maintained and serviced.

Sincerely,

[redacted] called me out to repair his RV refrigerator in February of 2013. Upon arrival I found the cooling core had leaked its ammonia. When this happens the cooling core has to be replaced. This is the biggest and most expensive part of the refrigerator, but it is only 1 of...

100 parts that make up his particular refrigerator. We installed the new cooling core and set the refrigerator to cool down. During the 24 hour cool down cycle, the digital readout display on the front of the refrigerator, displayed a code indicating the freezer heater element was bad. At [redacted] request, I ordered the freezer heater element, shipped next day air. I installed the freezer heater element and again started another 24 hour cool down cycle. During this cycle, the digital readout display on the front of the refrigerator displayed a new code indicating the freezer thermister was bad. At [redacted] request, I ordered that part, next day air and installed it. 24 hours later the refrigerator was cold with no more codes present. [redacted] paid for the labor and cooling core I installed in February of 2013, which came with a 12 month manufacturer’s warranty and has worked with no problems. The other parts, shipping and labor that were also required to get [redacted] refrigerator to work properly, which could not have been diagnosed until the refrigerator cycled, he refused to pay for as he told me that he believed that I had told him the cooling core would fix the problem so the other parts, shipping and labor were not his responsibility. These unpaid charges equaled $668.00.

I did go back in July 2013, at no charge to [redacted], to check the refrigerator at [redacted] request. [redacted] said he didn’t feel the refrigerator was cold enough. He turned the refrigerator on on Sunday and I checked it out midday on Monday, giving it 24 hours to run through a full cycle. The refrigerator was at proper temperatures.

The thermister that I installed that [redacted] claims was the problem could not have been defective because it would have generated a code on the digital readout display on the front of the refrigerator and shut the refrigerator down.

Now, 18 months after the original repairs on the refrigerator, [redacted] called and requested me to come and look at the refrigerator again as he stated he believed it has never worked right and he wanted me to come fix it. Due to this statement, I believe [redacted] expected me to return yet again and make any repairs at no cost to him. I responded to [redacted] request, this time in writing, explaining and documenting repairs I had made, what he had paid for, and what it had cost me to repair his refrigerator, (see attached letter) and that he needed to call someone else to address the new problem.

Replacing the cooling core did not put into force a warranty on all the 100 parts included in [redacted] refrigerator that can go bad.

If [redacted] would have been happy to pay me to repair the refrigerator as he claims, then he should be happy to pay the repair shop that did the latest repair, and not look to me to pay for his repair job.

Following is the response letter I sent [redacted] on July 30, 2014.

Sincerely,

[redacted]

[redacted]

onse to [redacted] claims.

Regards,

I have used Bullseye for several modifications/upgrades to my Travel Trailer. I have been very impressed with the service provided and I highly recommend Bullseye for your RV repair and service needs. They provide quality work at a very reasonable price.

Review: [redacted] of Bullseye RV was used to repair the refrigerator in February 2013 for our personal RV. The refrigerator was torn out to replace the parts needed, but it quickly became apparent that [redacted] was "over his head" and would need to be in constant contact with the refrigerator manufacturer for "trouble shooting". The job that was to be done in one day took over 2 weeks to finally get the refrigerator working, but not to our satisfaction (this is substantiated in a letter he sent to me).

Before the refrigerator stopped working, it would always cool down very quickly when turned on and be ready for perishables within 1 - 2 days. We were given a choice by [redacted] to replace the refrigerator or fix the one we have, he made it clear to us that it was not necessary to replace it when he could fix it for far less in price. [redacted] came out again in July of 2013 to tell me the refrigerator was working correctly. I agreed that the temperature was good, but it took nearly a week to get to that temperature ([redacted] blamed the extra time for cooling on the hot summer weather). I called again in November with the same "cooling down issue" which was now taking over a week to cool the refrigerator down, [redacted] explained that he would get out there as soon as he could. [redacted] never came by and would not return the voice mails I left him until July of this year ( a letter indicating this is available from [redacted] for your records).

We used the refrigerator from February of 2013 until July 2014 thinking that was the best we could get, as [redacted] would not contact us. In July of this year I had another RV repairman out to look at another issue, but also wanted him to clean up the mess of loose wires on the back of my refrigerator that [redacted] had left me. In doing so, he discovered that [redacted] had never correctly replaced the temperature sensor he claimed to have replaced in February. This has fixed the refrigerator to my satisfaction.

All [redacted] had to do was come out and easily determine the on going problem, he could of even charged me as I just wanted it fixed.Desired Settlement: Refund me the cost to have the RV repair man that was able to correctly repair the refrigerator
