Bullyan Trailer Sales, Inc. Reviews (6)

I am rejecting this response I agree with Mr. Bullyan’s opening statement “The facts are very simple.” That’s the only thing I agree with and that we had purchased a used Dutchmen 27BG Travel Trailer Accordingly, Mr. Bullyan stated a systems check of the water and gas systems prior to delivery as stated and signed and attached sales agreement There is no indication that anything other than the water, appliances and LP system were guaranteed to be in working order This is untrue or the system check should have included the electrical system as was stated on date of purchase by a walk through As for our first concern of the electrical problem concerning the battery problem and the positive battery cable being disconnected on date of purchase, was noted by a telephone conversation to Bullyanstechnician and after the first near miss fire involving said battery, they said it might be a faulty battery I did install a new battery and assumed this had solved the problem but did not as the second camping trip was just as disastrous as the first and by that time, it was way past the thirty days after purchase Again, we did not have the time to either go camping within thirty days of purchase, nor the time to take the trailer back to Bullyanwithin those thirty days and this is why we didn’t take it back to Bullyans, we didn’t just chose to ignore the recommendations of Bullyan. As for the last time Bullyans had our travel trailer for two weeks, my wife and I visited *** Bullyan Srand within the first five minutes of our visit, he told us both that he thought he knew the problem and that he could bypass some wires and have it repaired at his cost and would roughly take three to four hours and we would have our trailer ready to be picked up on Thursday, four days from the Monday that we had sat in his office and his son Joe Bullyan Jrwas standing outside his door Mr. Bullyan Srasked us to try and inform our insurance carrier of the plans just in case, this was after we told him that we weren’t comfortable with filing an insurance claim So, after informing Mr. Bullyan Sr., the next day Tuesday, we weren’t going to file a claim, the deductible was only a minor fraction of the problem, the big problem was filing a claim. On the day we picked up our trailer, Mr. Bullyan Sr., or Jrdidn’t tell us to take our trailer and leave, we made a surprise visit and decided to claim our trailer We made that surprise visit to Bullyan to assure ourselves they had no intentions of resolving our problem They did have the trailer apart in areas, they also broke a few structure parts while in the process They took apart and a.coutlet and also the lights in the bathroom where I had told them all the a.chad worked upon delivering the trailer to them I also rerouted original wires they took off the circuit board and found only a few damaged lines from the Trailer mishap and wired back to the correct order, they kept blowing their own fused as I could see left on the floor, tells me they had no clue to what they were doing. To this day after receiving the trailer, I have replaced or bypassed some problems as a result of the shorting of wires, these are times I have already repaired: Refrigerator, secondary living room lights, Range Hood and Fan I am awaiting parts for the following: Wiring Switch Harness for furnace, Circuit Board, Thermostadt, Wiring for Hot Water Tank The main living room wires will have to wait, because this will require extensive work From Bullyans repair estimate and labor: $for parts, $6000 labor I have spent around $in current parts and done them myself. All Mr. Bullyan Srhad to tell us that we were on our own and Mr. Bullyan Jrdidn’t need to tell my wife “we’d make it right” But we don’t like to be lied to on these two main statements and the service techdidn’t need to accuse us of creating the problem or making the problem bigger We didn’t create the problem and we didn’t lie to anyone at Bullyans and I am outraged. This may never be resolved through Bullyans but I can promise you that we will never have any future business dealing with these deceiving crooks ever again Yes, we would never recommend anyone to Bullyans ever and we should have done our research in the beginning as I’ve heard and learned of other complains from past customers. *** ***

The facts of this situation are very simpleMrand Mrs*** bought a used Dutchmen 27' Travel Trailer from Bullyan RV in August of We performed a systems check of the water and gas systems prior to delivery as stated and signed on attached sales agreementThere is no indication
that anything other than the water, appliances, and LP system were guaranteed to be in working orderDuring the day warranty period I am told that the customer called regarding a wire in the area of the convertor and was offered the option to bring back to have checked out, see attached letter from Mrs*** stating such, which they chose not to doThe customer did state that we did try to assist them over the phone as to wiring issue but very hard to diagnose without seeing itThere was no other contact until this summer when they called to say they wanted to bring inThe service department told them that it was out of warranty and they would have to pay for any repairsWhen the unit was examined in the shop it was obvious that the volt wiring system had developed a serious short and it had caused extensive damage throughout the trailer wiringIn our opinion the only thing that would cause this amount of damage is either lightning or hooking up the auxiliary battery backwardsThere was no question in our mind that the cost of repairs done properly would far exceed the value of the trailer so I talked to the customer and tried to explain that to themThey were totally against involving their insurance company even though it would have been a completely legitimate claimThis electrical issue came just short of burning down the camper but I could not get them to understand the severity of the problemAfter much discussion they did agree to call their insurance company but made it very clear to me they were unwilling to pay any deductible so that option was eliminatedAs a goodwill gesture I agreed to spend two to three hours to see if there was any hope of getting the camper wiring operational but there was too much damage in too many areas and our feeling was it was unsafe to assume we could fix all the problems within the structure of the trailerDuring this attempt the customer, primarily Mrs***, came into our dealership screaming about the situation at handShe claimed to my son that I had told her that we could possibly fix the damage in two to three hoursShe began screaming at my son and it was then that he told her should would have to leave that he called me for adviceI told him to tell her to take camper and leave and she proceeded to stand outside our business and tell customers not to come in our businessMy son called me and I told him to tell the ***'s to take their trailer and leaveThere will be no further attempt on our part to assist the ***'s in any way after the way they have lashed out at our company, my son and I, and our employeesWe were only trying to help them with their problem

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/02/23) */
As manager of Bullyan RV I had no knowledge of Mr [redacted] having any issues, nor did my service department. My first contact with him was May 6th by e-mail when I responded to him regarding some very negative comments he had put out on social...

media. It was then that I discovered reviewing his service file he had never been back for any service issues. I believe what happened is he called demanding a service call and when he was told he would have to make an appointment and bring his camper in for service he became very angry. He chose to pay and have a mobile service company make the repair and I agreed to submit that companies repair bill in under warranty and was able to reimburse them and supply the parts no charge. It was during this time that Mr [redacted] contacted the manufacturer with other items he felt should be addressed by warranty. The camper is out of warranty during this time but the manufacturer agreed to have us complete a number of issues for Mr [redacted]. He was to make an appointment with our service department but instead drops off the unit without a word said and leaves it in our parking lot. Without any direction offered regarding necessary repairs from Mr. [redacted] we assessed the trailer and reported what we saw to the manufacturer. They instructed us on what to repair and what not to repair. These repairs were made and we contacted the manufacturer to arrange for Mr [redacted] to pickup the unit. As you can see by attached e-mails Mr. [redacted] is less than cooperative and ultimately the factory representative relates to him that there communication is done. I want it on record, for the first time in 61 years of business that Mr [redacted] at this point is not allowed on Bullyan RV's property. In my 46 years I have never had a customer that is more explosive and rude than he is, nor have I seen a trailer that has obviously been severely abused as this unit is. Unless Mr [redacted] can arrange a pickup date that is reasonable we will have the unit removed from our property by a towing company and Mr [redacted] can deal with them when he finds time to pick it up. His reluctance to work rationally with the manufacturer and or Bullyan RV is just ridiculous. Life is to short to put up with people like Mr. [redacted]
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/02/26) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My experience with bullyan
In August of 2014 I decided to purchase a new camper so I went to bullyan because I was working across the street on the 148th. This is the first time I have ever purchased anything new and from the very start I felt rushed and pressured. I felt even worse when I came to pickup my camper and was greeted by them saying these are the exact words " it's to early for this"and was very unhelpful and rude explaining things I should know about the camper. I should have walked away right then but they had already taken $500 from me so I felt locked in the deal. I parked the camper about a 1/2 mile away from bullyan and set it up. I tried to open the back windows and seen they were not attached and I could not close them I called bullyan service and they instructed me to bring it back I told them I could not do that and I was only 1/2 mile away. Finely after begging them they agreed to come and fix it. Now I travel for work and depend on my camper for a place to stay. So I finished at the 148th and pulled the camper about 60 miles and entered the camper and seen the cabinet doors were ratting apart and can clearly see there was no glue used on the corners of the raised panel doors shortly after that the dead bolt on the door broke locking me inside the camper. I called bullyan service again and got the same story "bring it back" now I work 6 days a week and have no time for this if I bring it back every time something went wrong that would be a full time job. They refused to fix it so I had someone come and do it. As you can see in there response how the deal with there costmers. I would like that on record. They have had several chances to make this right. I pulled the camper less than 200 miles and it rattled apart. I have no time to bring the camper back every time something falls apart. That's why I purchased something new so it would last at least through the extra warranty I purchased. I am through being jerked around buy these people. This all could be avoided buy using a $2 tube of glue. Instead they want to take the easy way out and blame me. So I contacted the manufacturer they instructed me to bring it back to bullyan and I agreed to do so when it was convenient for me and they agreed. I dropped the camper off at bullyan on my way to Illinois. Yes I was short on time so I left it there. I had already gave the manufacturer a list of things that were wrong so I didn't see the need to go into bullyan to be insulted again so I did not go in. Now I am a 16 hour drive away one way and they are demanding that I come back and get it. I told them I am working 6days a week and the earliest I can come and get it is late spring early summer I don't know the exact date yet. There response is they are going to start fining me every day that I don't come and get it. They just don't want it there because other costmers will see what they are buying. As you can see in there response they like to slander people and blame them for there poor products. All I asked for was a list of what they fixed and how they fixed it and they could not even give me that. I am sure I am not the only one that has gone through with bullyan. I bend over backwards to make my customers happy and bullyan won't even lift a finger. And everyone should be made aware of this to save them a huge headach. I look forward to resolving this issue so I never have to deal with them again. Thank you and have a great day.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/02/29) */
I am not going to respond to Mr [redacted]s account of his purchase and service regarding his camper as any attempt to state the truth would only fall on deaf ears. I agree to hold Mr [redacted]s trailer until such time that he can pick it up as long as it is in the time frame he proposed in his previous correspondence. There will be no charge for the storage of his trailer as long as he does what he said in that time frame. The only thing I want in return is advance notice so I can place his trailer off property prior to his arrival as I do not want Mr [redacted] stepping foot on our property ever again. I apologize to everyone involved that it has come to this but I can only strive to work out reasonable solutions to problems with reasonable people. Lying and distorting the truth is not the way to resolve problems. Sincerely, [redacted] Bullyan

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I see nothing plans to be done about the camper rattling apart and every screw being striped. Talk about deaf ears. I look forward never setting foot on that property again and will do every thing I can to warn others not to ether. Please post this so everyone can see what they will have to deal with. Exactly what am I not telling the truth about? Why do I need to lie?

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/29) */
I researched this issue and I am told that the reason our employee could not take the insurance check is it was made out to the customer and the lien holder, not Bullyan RV. We had no way of getting the check endorsed, nor would the bank even...

let us, so it only made sense for the customer to have that done. I was not there so I really wonder why that even became an issue. As for the tires, axle issue we were not dealing with a manufacturer's warranty it was an extended service contract. The problem there is that the extended service contract only covered the axle issue and not the tire wear issue. I must apologize to the customer if this was not conveyed to him properly. It clearly states in the service contract coverage book that tires are not covered but again this should have been discussed with the customer at that time.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Peg, the person I dealt with at Bullyan's had stated the excessive wear was from the bent axles. She also included that in the report. If the axles would not have been bent the tires would still be good.
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2015/07/30) */
[redacted]Document Attached[redacted]
I am also attaching photos of our tires on the camper. Tire damage was attributed to the bent axles according to Peg from Bullyan RV when I brought it in Oct 2014. Just a note that the tire have about 1500 mile on them. The tire with the fuzz on it is the spare to use as a comparison.
Thanks

Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2015/07/30) */
I realize the tire wear is what alerted Mr. [redacted] of a potential problem but the extended service contract does not cover tires under any circumstances. They did replace the axles as agreed but that is all they authorized. I don't know what else I can say, I wish I could go back to the manufacturer but in this case the original purchase date is April of 2012 so there is no manufacturer warranty available as the unit was almost three years old at the time of the repair. I am glad Mr [redacted] had an extended service contract or else the axles would not have been covered as well.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The response was the same information that was already provided prior to me submitting a complaint to the Revdex.com. In the office the doctor NEVER said this is a quote and you may still be charged. The doctor clearly stated that she was checking my insurance because she did not want me to get a surprise bill. She left the room and came back several minutes later and stated that she checked my insurance and that everything was covered 100 percent because I had met the deductible. It is very sad that I was tricked into order these ordothics and later changed for them, had I known I probably would of searched for other options prior to ordering with this doctor. I should not have to pay anything because this doctor LIED. At the least I hope this complaint is posted publicly so others can be aware not to use this practice.

Customer Information: [redacted]   Complaint regarding charges billed for custom orthotics - Insurance denied     Patient: [redacted]   Our practice does contact insurance provider's to collect coverage and limitations....

This is a quote obtained by the patient's insurance carrier,we explain to every patient that it is a quote and not a guarantee of coverage or payment. When a patient is given a custom device we do require a signature and we do advise patient's that even though we have received a quote in benefits it is not a guarantee and they are responsible for the device should the carrier deny payment. Ihave attached Ms.[redacted]'s DME acknowledgement form which was signed the day her son was in the office. Every patient is given the information as it is presented to us and allowed to make an informed decision whether to proceed or not. We do educate the patient and their guardian that it is a quote and there is always the possibility the claim would not be covered depending on policy restrictions and limitation we are not privy to. We have adjusted the account for the orthotic and management fee, this was an error as the father picked up the orthotics without the son present for the appointment. We also adjusted the orthotic fee to reflect a provider adjustment cash pay fee of $295.00.   Ms. [redacted] balance also reflects a deductible amount which her insurance carrier states is her responsibility. Ido apologize Ms.[redacted] did not receive prompt attention from our office. We care about our patients and their families and strive to provide excellent customer service. The billing department has spoken to Ms. [redacted] and we have made a pay arrangement with her. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions or need further information.
