I contracted with Bulwark Home Security to provide a security system for our home. The representative took the time to insure that we chose the system that best met our needs. He answered all of our questions to make sure we understood how the system would function. The system was installed as on-time as scheduled and at the cost quoted to us. All of the Bulwark staff with whom we have spoken have been professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I believe I made a good choice.

Review: I contacted Bulwark in May of 2012. I spoke with the owner, [redacted], and I asked him if I could use the system in the house I purchased. It was assessed and with a one year contract, he would provide the piece to the system to make it cellular. I proposed to him that I would like to make an agreement with him. The agreement included/; I will pay my whole one year lease up front to pay off my year of service. He agreed and gave a 10% discount for paying the whole contract off. He never once explained to me that after my one year his office billing department would decide to keep billing me monthly charges without my prior knowledge or authorization to continue using Bulwark's services. I never renewed anything with Bulwark after I discussed their upgrades, which was not what I had in mind. Therefore, I did not upgrade or sign any new contracts with Bulwark. My service with Bulwark was disconnected by [redacted] Communication Home Security on My 25, 2013. My contract with Bulwark ended on May 23, 2013. They are now sending me a bill for the month of April because they claim to need a month notice. A contract is signed and fulfilled for the duration specified. Once the contract is fulfilled then the consumer has the right to switch service providers. The work ethics of this company is ridiculous because they obviously fail to explain the full contracts so they can squeeze every dollar they can from a consumer.Desired Settlement: The bill needs to be taken off my name as I owe you no financial obligation. I tried to resolve this issue by explaining to the receptionist that I owed Bulwark no financial obligations because my service was cut off with them on May 25th of 2013. Bulwark can be ethical about this situation and remove the bill from my account where I have a $0 balance and a good business relationship to remain for in good standings.

Needed a new alarm and after reading the reviews online gave Jeff a call. He was great to work with, and they install went very smooth. We are remodeling and only wanted to easy system until the work is done, then plan to add cameras and other things. Jeff was very receptive to our needs now and for the future. Pleased to use his company, and monitoring service.

I am highly satisfied with the services of Bulwark Home Security. I contacted the owner a few weeks prior to closing on a new home in the West Valley area. [redacted] responded quickly with a quote and suggestions regarding configuration. He arranged a Saturday installation to meet my schedule. The installer was great - he completed the job, explained the function of the system, and cleaned up after the installation was complete. Company follow-up has been great also. I would highly recommend Bulwark Home Security.

After researching several home security providers, including a known large national company, we decide to use Bulwark because it is a local company presenting exactly the devices and contract arrangements we wanted. We met with [redacted], the CEO, and discussed all of our interests, and Bulwark's capabilities, and found an excellent match. Our initial interest in Bulwark came from its strong standing among all respected review sites and our experience underscores those ratings. Our installer, DeWayne, is an expert in home security technology, very professional and courteous, and was spotless in his installation work. In our first month our service has been excellent. We touched base with the monitoring station and found them ready to go. All around high marks.

Having never had a home security system, I began the search on [redacted]. After reading customer reviews there of 3 different companies that were possible choices, I compared the ratings with Revdex.com and found Bulwark was equally highly rated here. Two of the 3 companies were national with a call center that helped you choose which package deal best suited your home and after purchasing, the install was done yourself. I then called Bulwark Home Security and spoke with [redacted]. He answered a myriad of questions that allowed me to weigh my options between one of these national companies "do it yourself" install" versus a local provider to visit my home and recommend product specific items that best suited my needs. In the end we chose Bulwark. While Bulwark's pricing was slightly higher than the national companies price, I found it invaluable to 1. have a professional visit my home with specific recommendations, 2. include the install of equipment so that no mistake could be made on my part by improperly installing it because what good is a home security system if it's not installed correctly, and 3. the ongoing support I have should a problem/question arise [redacted] and his team are "[redacted] on the spot" to resolve any issues. We have had our system in for 2 weeks now and am enjoying the peace of mind with our new coverage. And yes, I've had several beginner questions that have been promptly answered from a quick phone call to Bulwark. I would highly recommend them for your security needs.

Installer arrived promptly at scheduled time, installed all necessary hardware without making a mess, tested system, and explained how everything works in a clear and concise manner. Office staff very helpful and sent additional window stickers when I requested more. Prior to installation owner and I went over different system options for my home, and at no time was there an attempt to upsell and add unnecessary equipment. Would recommend to anyone looking for a state of the art security system at a reasonable cost from a locally owned company.

Bulwark Home Security installed a wireless system in my home in February 2013. The installation was completed in a timely manner and the installers were professional, pleasant, and also cleaned up after themselves.

The system is easy to use, and the price was competitive. I especially like being able to turn the system on and off via my smart phone or internet browser.

I am very pleased with this system and highly recommend Bulwark Home security.

Everyone with this company is very professional. The installer was at my home at the appointment time, and switched my system from [redacted] to [redacted]. I highly recommend this company, both for their integrity and their very fair prices. There are no hidden costs, and they installed motion detectors and alarms in necessary places where [redacted] failed to do so with their "package deal" and locked in contract. I was not talked into anything and, in fact, requested their recommendations for extra security measures.

Review: If you have two false alarms within a year, the police department charges you for the 2nd false alarm, rightfully so. The first alarm was my family's fault - we had party balloons that set off a motion detector - and we were issued a warning. However, the 2nd false alarm wasn't due to us; no one was home at the time, and an alarm from Bulwark went off and the police were dispatched. Multiple motion detectors were triggered but no one was home. This cost us a $96. This was obviously a systems anomaly - the police searched our home but no one was there and the doors were all locked. Bulwark's policy, which we were unaware, is that they won't credit you with a false alarm even if it's their fault. I find this business practice questionable and unethical and think all consumers should be made aware of. Buyer beware. We are moving to another home and will be using an alarm company, just not Bulwark. PLEASE BE CAREFUL with their policies, make sure you understand them thoroughly.Desired Settlement: Credit to our account of $96.
