Saturday, April 15, 2017 Re: Complaint ID Number 12053096  re [redacted] dated 04/14/2017;   This is Mr. [redacted] of Bumble Bee Auto responding to the above complaint.   Ms. [redacted] bought a used auto from Bumble Bee Auto on or about 12/08/2015 in an “as is” condition...

under her purchase agreement with us. At the time of purchase, the vehicle was in good working order and accepted by the without complaint. It has come to our attention that the customer Ms. [redacted] apparently stopped making payments on her vehicle and it was repossessed by her lender for mom-payment. First, the vehicle in question was purchased by Ms. [redacted] in “ as is “ condition with no warranty for condition of vehicle under California Law. As such, Mr. [redacted] is solely responsible for maintaining the vehicle in question and she is responsible for all repairs to her vehicle. Additionally, Mr. [redacted] is solely responsible for making payments to her lender. If she failed to make timely payments on her loan agreement, she is solely responsible if she goes into default of her loan agreement. Since this vehicle was sold “as is”, Bumble Bee Autos is not responsible for the condition of the vehicle and it has no responsibility for her current situation. Secondly, Ms. [redacted] failed to timely make a claim under these circumstances. Is Ms. [redacted] had any legitimate claim for the defective vehicle, she should have made a claim within 30 days (a reasonable time period) from the purchase date of the vehicle in question. The fact that Ms. [redacted] claim arose after 30 days suggested that any problem she may be claiming at this time was due to her misuse (lack of maintenance) of the vehicle. Third, Ms. [redacted] admits that she had the vehicle repaired by a third party mechanic neither (mechanic not associated nor employment by Bumble Bee Autos). Bumble Bee Auto has no knowledge as to what that mechanic did to Ms. [redacted] vehicle. Ms. [redacted] is solely responsible for the physical and legal condition of her own vehicle since Ms. [redacted] bought her vehicle in an “ as is” condition at time of purchase. Fourth, Bumble Bee Autos has never made any negative remarks about the vehicle it sold to Ms. [redacted]. Bumble Bee Autos only wishes its clients well and good luck with the vehicles it sells to customers.   Based on the foregoing discussion, Bumble Bee Auto declines to reimburse Ms. [redacted] for her claim, and we wish her well in resolving her issues with her auto situations described in her abo complaint. Please contact me if you would like to further discuss this matter.   Sincerely [redacted] For Bumble Bee Auto, Inc.

Review: I recently went into Bubble bee Auto to purchase a car on April 4 2015. I receive Social Security benefits and my income is limited and they still approved me for a car I wanted. I use to receive more benefits but now my benefits are limited. I still was approved through [redacted] financing for a loan in amount of $7,500. So I was able to get the car a 2004 CLK 320 Mercedes car. My payments were affordable, I put down $2000 and payments came out to be $277 monthly. The car needed a few repairs, new part for window.. I ended up going to get it diagnosed by my trusted mechanic and he wrote down several codes , broken drive belt etc. I than contacted the auto sale place where I purchased my car they said bring car in they would look over the needed repairs. So I bring car in the following week and they say that they will see what is actually going on with the car. The car place called me several times and said that I was never approved for car, and needed to put more money down for another car which was cheaper. I let car dealer owner no I wasn't interested in another car and wanted my same car repaired and back in my possession. The owner of the dealership Sal said no problem, he took several days to refund me my down payment yet only $1500 and said the other amount was a credit for a future purchase of a car from him.Desired Settlement: I would like the rest of my down payment refunded to me, I do not want to purchase a car from his auto place.

Review: Purchased a 06 Scion XA, 5/15/2014? +/-, dashboard needed work and [redacted] ([redacted]) stated he will fix it and install an alarm if I bought it. I have texted him for the past year to get the vehicle fixed. He gave me the run around all the time "call me next week brother, and I will have the guy fix it" these were his exact words. I have been very patient and want the car fixed thats all.Desired Settlement: Just need the car fixed. Last time I spoke with him on 8/21/2015, he offered me $200, but I told him that I just wanted the car fix and that would not cover the dashboard and alarm. He needs to follow his word or is this how he operates to get a sale?

Review: On February 19, 2015 I entered an agreement to purchase an automotive from Bumble Bee Auto. There were some issues with my place of employment. I left my tax returns, proof of child support, and $500.00 cash as a deposit. I was told the $500.00 would hold the car for me until I came back from Las Vegas, for my daughter's competition, on February 23,2015, and was fully refundable if they could not make the deal work. I was also told, by the owner who collected my deposit, that he would pay half my car rental because of the misunderstanding. On February 23, 2015 when I called they could not provide anything about the financing and I immediately requested the refund of my $500.00 and paperwork. They said they would send it the next day. I have called over, over, over, and over to have my $500.00 and paperwork returned. I have had every excuse from the owner is not here to the accountant handles that, to the very next sentence of a fake check number to the mail takes 7 to 10 days. Come on, Sacramento to Tracy, 10 days. Its now more than 10 days. I am requesting to file a formal complaint against Bumble Auto and request some assistance in returning my money and paperwork. I have NEVER HAD ANy BUSINESS MATTERS WITH ANY TYPE OF BUSINESS THIS UNPROFFESIONAL IN MY LIFE!!! Please contact me at if you need any assistance with this matter.[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like my $500.00 refunded, my paperwork returned, and half my car rental from February 19 to February 23, returned like promised. I have the car rental agreement from Sacramento Airport for your review if you request.

Response:

Business states that the $500 dollars have been refunded due to inability of the consumer to secure financing. As for any other requests made, no agreement verbal or written was made with the consumer in regards to the rental.

Review: I purchased a vehicle in 5.2014. (x-5 SUV [redacted]) my second vehicle, with less than 2500 miles on it, 03/2015, I took it to a [redacted] dealer , upon returning from a 2 month business trip, to my home and being met with oil running out under my garage door. The repairs where over $3900.00 . 8 different leaks were discovered. Replacement of parts was $2200.00. All power steering hoses replaced. Manifold valve gaskets replaced, Alternator bracket replaced, Radiator replaced, belt tensioner and belts replaced to name a few. It is my thought that Bumble Bee knew of the leaks and sold me a vehicle with a host of problems. I've had it repaired at [redacted] and Auto Tech. = $3900.00. When purchasing the vehicle I asked for [redacted] papers and never received them. The owner will not return my calls or even answer his phone.Desired Settlement: I would like for Bumble Bee to pay the total amount of repairs due on this vehicle. Both repair facilities agree that these repairs did not just happen. Due to my travel itenerary, the problems were detected late in my ownership, but the mileage tells the story that the vehicle was not used enough to cause such wear .

I bought a 06’ Scion XA that my wife liked. As part of the deal Saleh M. Jundi, verbally agreed to get me an auto alarm for the car as well as repair the dash board and stereo console area. We agreed on the deal (5/15/2014?) and I was to come back the following week to get if repair. He had one of his guys look at the car and said he needed the whole console replaced. When he looked at it he did not connect the vent adjustment back correctly for the ac/heat to be adjusted. Now they broke something else.

I have text and called 30+ times and have been patient. Thought he was a man of his word. So last time I called he said he did not have time for me and to do whatever I needed to do and sue him. I have all the texts and last time I contact him (8/21/2015). All I want is the vehicle fixed.

Review: On Sept 13, 2013 I purchased a 1999 Mercedes 320E from Bumble Bee Autos, about Oct. 15th I received the registration document by mail from Bumble Bee Autos ,but the 2014 Tag was not included. I contacted the company immediately and was informed that only the owner could handle the registration issue for me. So I waited a few days and didn't hear anything, so I called back again I finally reached the owner around the 24th of Oct the license tags was going to expire by Oct. 31st. so the owner and I agreed that I would go get the tag pay for it and he in turn would reimburse me for my troubles in additional I realize that I had been over charged for the License transfer on my contract the charge for the License transfer was $195 and I noted that on the registration document Bumble Bee Autos actually paid $15 for the transfer, so I advised the owner that I was entitled to a refund of $180, He agreed that the amount they had collected was a estimate. Since this time I been told the check is in the mail so for the past week and a half the owner stated that he put the check in the mail gave me the check #[redacted] but no check has been received, prior to him putting the check in the mail I drove to Sacramento to get the disputed amount but again the owner wasn't available and no one else was able to help me. In addition to this action I was charge $495 for Gap insurance which I told them I didn't want it because my car was so old. I was told I had to take it when I received the paperwork from the lender they mentioned that the GAP insurance on my car was optional. I have purchased many cars in my life time and I'm not complaining about the service I received, but the handling of the business details needs improvement and I want my $180 over payment. Thank You Sydney Allen

Review: [redacted] 2008

Purchase Date 06/13/2014

Original Miles 104267 First Repair 104276

We bought a 2008 [redacted] from them and the car had a freeze issue when we were on the freeway. We took that car back the next day and he traded us for the [redacted]. The [redacted] two days later the transmission starting slipping. We at the time of purchase got a warranty for the car. When the car had the transmission issue we were sent to a different place to have the car fixed. Once our car was at the shop to fix our transmission the shop owner advised us that our warranty would not cover his costs. We then at that point contacted Bumble Bee and we have been ignored. He will not return our calls. When we do make contact with him he tells us to come back. I'm afraid that he is stalling that so that our warranty will be up.Desired Settlement: I want my money back $2000.00.
