Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[As previously stated we asked several times for a estimate of the job. We not in a rush to have the work complete. a woman showed up at the door and asked for a 50% deposit for work 50% of the $7000 bill that was presented. When Tim B[redacted] asked for an explanation the woman told him we don't itemize things like that he gave her the check for $3,500. He then called me we discussed it  and I canceled the check. The worker that was working in our house told us that he repeadly asked for an estimate as well and didn't receive an answer. We have a regular electrician we asked him to come over and tell us if we were being taken. He explained that all the wiring that he had already replaced several years ago and this company didn't look just cut and ripped out the exciting wiring. He went through the whole house with us additionally found a live wire dropped in the wall with no box in the laundry room he recommended rreporting the company for safety issues. Wernka sent a edited bill $2765 of which he itemized the work. We had our electrician look it over. I cant trust what this company is saying and don't know the going rate for these items. Our electrician told us every thing looked about right except he was charging us for completed outlets that weren't done. they were just roughed in. The owner came to our house one night we explained our grievance with his bill. He said fine ask your electrician what a fair "roughed in" price was. Our electrician said he thought a fair amount was $2000. We sent a $2000 check and wrote on the check if you deposit this check it is a final payment. he deposited it.  We payed our electrican additional $900 to fix the uncapped box and to complete the connection the "roughed in" outlets and make sure every thing was safe. we have additional expense in the new sheet rock that was finished was cut through by Wernka and never had to be and that is additional cost to us.  I have no intention of giving this company any more money. We had a ton of work done on our house worth thousands and thousands of dollars (2 extensions) over the past 12 years and have never had to file a Revdex.com complaint on a company. All of my contractors had been paid in full.

We are a sub-contractor for Sunview Enterprises. We were called by Sunview to [redacted] to wire a sunroom. After wiring the sunroom we were then called by the contractor to go wire the kitchen as the homeowner’s electrician would not be able to get there in a timely...

manner to the kitchen electrical work. We went there and went over the electric with the homeowners and started the kitchen rough as they were in a rush as they were in a rush to get it done. The next morning we gave Sunview the estimate for the whole kitchen job. We continued to complete the rough electrical and asked for payment from Sunview, he said he would have the homeowner write a check and we could pick it up. We went to get the check and brought along the estimate for the whole job as instructed by the contractor which was not $7000 as they claim. The homeowner did not like amount quoted for the job and said he’d like to look it over. I informed them we can stop by at any agreeable time to go over anything they would like to. He gave us a check for $3500.00 on account and the next day stopped payment on the check. We spoke to them about this and we were informed they were going to have their previous electrician finish the kitchen work. We informed them that was fine but we would need to be paid for the work that we already did. We presented them with an invoice for the rough electric work only in the amount of $2765.00. This invoice included 9 LED hi hats, GFI’s, circuits, switches, receptacles and a hood wiring. We explained in our invoice why the old wiring had to be removed due to the wiring needs to be on arc fault breakers and that 3-wire circuitry does not support arc fault protection without the use of very expensive double-pole breakers. Old BX type wiring has proven to be problematic with arc faults. The live wire they speak of was actually boxed in a 1900 box.The B[redacted] would not give us a check but said they will take to their electrician first. We do not know why they felt they needed to talk to another electrician about our invoice; they should have spoken directly to us instead. We do not know if that electrician is licensed and insured but we do know that electrician could not service what they needed done and that is why we were asked to do it. A few weeks later we received a check from the B[redacted] in the amount of $2000.00 marked paid in full saying that is what they and the other electrician want to pay. We do not agree with this arbitrary amount they decided to pay. We were there when they needed the work done, went over what the B[redacted] wanted done and did the work. We should be paid the proper amount for the material and labor supplied. The balance due is $765.00.We procured the final certificate for the sunroom and the approved rough electrical certificate for the kitchen work by an approved inspection agency. The work was done properly and to code as all our jobs are. We do not do shoddy work, not do we have shoddy business practices. We have been in business serving contractors in the home improvement industry for over 50 years. They are well within their right to use their usual electrician who is willing to flout electrical code to appease the homeowner but we still deserve to be paid in full for the work we performed. The amount due is $765.00.We request that this complaint be found as unsubstantiated as it is simply a matter of a consumer wanting to take advantage and not pay what is due. Walter T[redacted]Wanerka Electric Corp.[redacted]
