Received call from owner Chris [redacted] , providing business response.Mr [redacted] confirms that Ms [redacted] purchased an older, higher-mileage vehicle for approximately $6,from Bunker Lake MotorsHe says this vehicle was purchased "as is" under Minnesota Used Car warranty Law by virtue of its age / miles, and that Ms [redacted] signed off on all required disclosures to this effect ('Buyer's Guide' form, etc.).He says when Ms [redacted] reported shortly after purchase that the car suddenly had a dash light on, he invited her to bring the car back in so Bunker Lake Motors could have their regular mechanic take a look at it and "get it straightened out." The mechanic diagnosed a VVT indicator / sensor issue, and Bunker Lake paid the repair bill on a goodwill basis(Mr [redacted] says his records indicate having paid $376.80.)As to the issue with missing change Ms [redacted] refers to, he says he attempted to assure Ms [redacted] that neither he nor his mechanic took any change out of the car's center console, and would never do so.As to the other vehicle issues Ms [redacted] describes, Mr [redacted] reiterates that the vehicle was purchased "as is," and Bunker Lake Motors will not be able to assist with further repairs at this timeHe adds that Ms [redacted] took to airing her grievances with Bunker Lake Motors via social media, which made the business ever less inclined to offer further resolution on a goodwill basis.Mr [redacted] says he regrets that Ms [redacted] and her daughter are not satisfied with their used vehicle purchase, but that the dealer cannot pay for repairs indefinitely on a car that was purchased "as is."
