Heartbroken after my sick bunny died.
My poor bunny had a genetic heart condition and died at only 3 years old. I am absolutely devastated. The vet said because it’s genetic it can be from over breeding. I’ve read a few stories of this breeder’s poor bunny living very short lives.

After some time, I realized I was certainly ripped off. I should have done more research. I love my bunny, but after watching the website, I realized they’re just greedy. They sell a ton of bunnies and I’m not so sure they’re well versed in the knowledge they should be. I was advised that my bunny would never need a vet and certainly doesn’t need to be spayed... in my opinion, all animals should be vetted and spayed/Neutered if not breeding due to the increased risk of cancer. Fortunately, I’m one of the lucky ones with a friendly, healthy bunny. I didn’t buy many supplies from them. The bonding bag is a complete rip off. I purchased full packages of everything included in the bonding bag for less than the $35 they charged for pinches of each item. The cage set up they offer is far from worth it. You can buy all they offer for $75 or spend a little more than $75 for much better quality items. I thought going to a breeder would be a better choice thinking they’d have healthier babies for the price but after doing more research, I’m not sure that’s always the case. Again, my bunny is healthy and I should have done more research but I think their knowledge is poor and their practices are unethical.

The breeder made me think I was coming visit her at her Rabbitry In Wayne NJ....After I sent her a $250 deposit via paypal. She gave me a address on rt. 23 in Wayne, NJ. After pulling into a Kohls parking lot.... And called her.... no answer. She then texted me that her mom would meet me in the parking lot in 10 minutes! ?!?!?! What I sent you a $250 deposit thinking I was going her Rabbitry!!! Not a parking lot! I asked the breeder before I got there if I needed to pick anything up for the Holland Lop baby before I got to her. She replied, no that that there was a Kit I could purchase for $175 that would have everything I needed. Ok fine! $350 Holland lop baby and a $175 set up.... a little steep but ok....after she pulled into the parking lot..... I approached her White Jeep..... she had the cutest holland lop baby rabbit. The very one I put a deposit on. In a carrier. She asked me (the breeder’s mom) if I had anything to bring the rabbit home with. I said no.... your daughter told me I could buy a whole set up... $175. I don't need to buy anything for the rabbit. Oh that doesn’t include the carrier that is $35 extra!!! Wow ok on top of the $560 you are already charging Me!!! I guess I have to buy that too?!?! Ok.... im going to do what I have to do... then she tells me the rabbit is going to need a rest pad.... that will be a extra $30!!! She has all this extra stuff for sale in her car.....At the rest pad offer I put my hand up and said “thank you, but no thank you!!” I will order that on amazon it will be here tomorrow!!! She told me oh no!!! They dont have that one that she needs on amazon. All lies and a scam! I looked up the exact one on amazon she was trying to sell me and you can get THREE OF THEM FOR $10!!!! The carrier she sold me for $35 I could get for $18 on amazon too! She was trying to sell me on a grooming bonding kit too. I thank GOD Thank I said no to that offer too!!!! I would of told her to take her rabbit home... I don’t want it any longer except for the fact that they scammed me into paying them a $250 deposit before hand thinking that I was meeting them at a Rabbitry not a Parking Lot!!!!!!! They are scammers! Be aware!!!!!! Do not buy from this scamming breeder!!! Trust me!!!! They scam you into a hefty deposit then scam you into needed to buy more and more out of a traveling gypsy rabbit selling jeep!!! Unreal and unprofessional!!!!

I purchased a bunny from these horrible people on 12/14/19 and my rabbit died 1/28/20. When I walked into the hut where the bunnies were, they had multiple rabbits in multiple cages. I believe they also have a second location as well. They charged me $350 for 1 bunny and told me to never take it to the vet. That immediately was a red flag. The woman's mother is the person who sold the rabbit to me. She said to only give it a pinch of hay in the morning and at night. Rabbits are supposed to have unlimited hay! The food they're giving these bunnies is crap as well. I took my rabbit to the vet against their wishes and was told that my rabbit had a severe respiratory infection caused by poor living habits? from the breeder (like having a ton of bunnies in one cage) and that he was significantly malnourished. I ended up paying about $300 for tests and antibiotics. I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford this bill but as the vet mentioned, there are many who can't and then these rabbits end up in shelters or die. They don't have any documentation on the breed of these rabbits yet they price them so high. I just wanted to rescue the rabbit at that point and get out of there! They are breeding and selling sick rabbits to people?. They need to be stopped! The positive reviews they have are left by family and friends.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. As a veterinary technician, all of the baby rabbits that come in to my hospital from this breeder are sick with upper respiratory infections. One 14wk old baby that came in had genetic teeth malocclusion, which was an estimated 2k to remove the diseased teeth. I purchased two girls here in 2018 and both of mine had URI's. I was lucky and brought them to my doctor right away, but the woman who sold them to me told me "they don't need veterinary care". ANY pet should be seen by a veterinarian at least once a year! She also told me they didn't need to be spayed! I laughed in her face! Female rabbits have an approximate 80% risk of cancer if they are not spayed! This woman does not give a damn what happens to these poor babies! She over breeds the does, and sells babies before they're even 8wks old! She will not respond to you once you encounter a problem or tell her your rabbit is sick or dead!! RUN!!!!

Bought a bunny from bunny rabbitry & I am very happy. The lady went through all details with me and explained everything super well. My bunny is now 5 months old. The bunny is now being registered as my therapy pet.

Make sure you do your research before spending so much money on their rabbits. We unfortunately made the decision of buying their rabbits, because the one we bought and fell in love with was sick and barely made it aweek. He died on Christmas eve, which broke our hearts. We are definitely not pleased with these breeders. I highly recommend taking them to the vet after purchase, to make sure their healthy. Or finding a different breeder, hopefully nobody has to go through this

Horrible place!!! Don’t buy anything from them!!!!!! Our bunny died 4 days after we got him. When we called them to let them know they sold us a sick bunny they said he died because our cage was too small!
It was an awful heartbreaking experience

Beware these people don’t know bunnies, my poor baby girl unknowingly came with a parasite and died suddenly 12 days after we got her. They don’t take their bunnies to vets before selling. The first bunny we picked we couldn’t get because he supposedly hurt his leg. They use no paperwork but thankfully I did get a partial refund. I would not recommend them ever. We are so sad and disappointed about our experience.

Bunny Rabbitry is not a rabbitry you want to go to.
1) They don't do genetic projects. The owner didn't even know what a "frosty" was when we first got our bunny was. A rabbitry that is solely breeding for looks (and also doesn't even know all the colors?? is quite questionable. A good rabbitry will breed for temperament and good, healthy traits.
2) They sold underaged rabbits quite a number of times. A year ago, I worked with the [now dissolved] NJSPCA and the department of Agriculture regarding this issue. The people I talked to and showed their instagram and hoobly confirmed and agreed with me that they were selling rabbits underaged. (Their selling point was "teacup bunnys" which is just simply underaged bunnies. Even a true dwarf rabbit is not teacup sized at 8 weeks). However, because they were never able to catch Bunny Rabbitry in the act of selling underaged rabbits, they were never able to penalize them. HOWEVER, evidence is all over their instagram.
3) We love our bunny dearly from them, but she came with a lot of issues. A lot of personality issues and a health issue. Personality wise, when our bunny was brought out, she was flailing in the owners arms. Whats the big deal about this, you ask? The bunny was clearly not socialized. Isn't that what a breeder's job is? To socialize and care for a bun so that you are purchasing a very loved and cared for and "high quality" fluffy companion?
Our bunny also came with kidney issues. She downs water like no other, and at 8 weeks she was drinking a whole human water bottle each day– because she can't flush out the toxins in her system. That just links back to point number one, not doing genetic projects.
4) Owner has a nasty personality if you mention anything "bad" or any constructive critism. She is notorious for blocking people and ignoring her customers if they are in need. I have spoken to countless other Bunny Rabbitry owners through instagram– one story specifically stuck out to me. One owner's rabbit from this business became sick shortly after recieving the rabbit. The owner reached out to Bunny Rabbitry asking for help, guidance, and trying to figure things out. However, the owner blamed the owner, and blocked them. I don't think that's how you deal with customers, especially when they're worried about the health of their young fluffy companion. A lot of current and old owners of rabbits from this rabbitry all say that their rabbit's temperaments are not the best.
I can literally go on and on about how this rabbitry is straight up BAD. I learned so much after buying my first rabbit from them, and I will NEVER recommend them to anybody again.

bought a female here and she has a splayed leg right hind leg, this is genetic, when I tried to tell the family about it they all ignored me. She’s doing fine and as a pre vet major myself i’m working with my vet to help her but they’re breeding ill rabbits for profit with no regard to the rabbits health.

Just from looking at their website, you can tell they don't know much about rabbits. They say mesh flooring in a cage is okay, when it's widely known to cause sore hocks in rabbits. They also say their rabbits enjoy being handled, when rabbits are most comfortable on the ground and almost always feel insecure being held.
