I recieved a call from [redacted] about the trim we installed for her. she made several statemnets that I didnt agree with and I let her know this . she...

had inspected the work that was done for her and she approved and then paid her invoice. she has made several statements that we were late in showing up for her work to be done , but I did remind her that we were accomidating her work schedule the best we could since she could only be available after normal work hours. I feel bad for not meeting her expectations but I have to wonder why she waited an extended period of time to bring this to my attention. she owns an extremly older home that has quite a few issues with uneven floors and walls. I pointed this out to [redacted] prior to doing the work she requested and she said she understood. [redacted] had made several statements to the affect that she is very unhappy with her house and the problems she keeps finding with it. I offered her a 30 % refund , and she said she would accept this. she informed me she would accept that and we would talk again once we both cooled down . I have attempted to contact her but have had no response . it is my belief she could have voiced her concerns earlier than a week later. her carpet will fit just fine. she has the correct amount of clearance above her subfloor for the install my offer is 30 % nd I believe this to be fair.

30% back is not at all satisfactory. Getting $150 back from $500 that I paid isn't fair at all. Plus all the hours I spent waiting and waiting for him to show up and the clean up I had to do as well.
On the phone when he offered 30% back, I eventually said I would take it because it was better than nothing. Then he said he didn't know if he wanted to offer it anymore because I made him so mad, and said he'd call me back after he cooled off. He never called back until a week later saying he hadn't heard from ME. I've since ignored him because I seriously never want to speak to him again.
For the record, I never said I was unhappy with my house. I said it was an investment and yes, there were problems to take care of that the previous owners didn't take care of. It being older has NOTHING to do with [redacted]'s measurements being short, boards not even meeting the wall, boards not nailed together all the way, my wall being damaged, him chipping my freshly painted banister, and him leaving parts unfinished (which I didn't see until after the fact). Like I said, when he finished, I didn't inspect too much because I just wanted him gone. He was 4 hours late to do the job and I was so upset I didn't want him around anymore.
I'm just done with the situation. I filed this complaint because I wanted to bring attention to future customers. They need to know what to expect. Hopefully they move on to someone else with better work ethic and better consideration for other people's time and property.

ms.[redacted] was there and inspected the trim the evening we wrapped up. she even said to us that it was the rustic look she wanted. the trim does not meet up to her sheetrock in several places and this was pointed out to her while the work was still in process. she said she understood and we completed the work. the floors and walls are extremley uneven due to the age of the home. the clearance for the carpet is aceptable though and she was satisfied with the work done that evening and paid her balance owed in partial check and cash in full. I personally believe 30% refund for customer satisfaction is a fair settelment due to the cost of material and labor for the work which was done after hours to meet her needs on her schedule. no one set out to do her wrong but she does have buyers remorse and I believe 30 % is fair.she recieved 175 ft of natural cedar baseboard trim and it was acceptable to her, if not she would not have setteled up financialy that evening. also I had already reduced the price of the work she requested to accomidate her prior to this work.

Once again, I didn't inspect the work to it's fullest, which is 100% my fault. I'm a first time buyer of this sort of thing. I paid [redacted] because I wanted him OUT of my home. He was 4 hours late to finish up the job. After hours yes, he accommodated to my work schedule, but EACH TIME he came to do work he was 2-4 hours late. Unacceptable. That's why I had him leave after his job was "done" without inspecting every inch. I should have inspected every inch, and once I did is when I called [redacted] to express my disappointment. I filed this complaint to let future customers know that the way [redacted] worked was far from professional. He showed up late, left a mess, left work incomplete, damaged a wall, and used my bathroom without even asking me (also left the seat up!). He shouldn't be getting paid for any jobs that turn out the way this one did. Also, a rustic look doesn't mean incomplete. And it definitely doesn't mean damaging my wall and banister.
I don't know whether to "accept this business' proposed resolution" via the Revdex.com or what, just to end this conversation. Because I never want to speak to [redacted] again. If he feels the need to do right and leave a check for $150 (his 30% back agreement) in my mailbox, he knows where I live.
