Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
Sylvia S[redacted], Burdens Towing, Dear Sirs, First I would like to point out that no statement was made refuting my statements. As I was and am telling the truth. Mr. B[redacted] did fail to allow me to pay the fee of $450.00 as requested and pick up my jeep with in the 30 days the law allows. #1) Your first statement is not true. On 3/11/2016 I was at home in bed. The jeep title and insurance card were in the jeep on the dash where the police officer left them, signed over to me, [redacted], from [redacted]. I also have a written receipt from [redacted]. There is also a witness to the transaction. So there was and is no question who the jeep belonged to. #2) Mr. B[redacted], I contend you withheld the title and insurance card from my personal belongings. You tried to extort money out of him that was not due. The police officer had verified ownership and insurance on the vehicle and left title and insurance on the dash of the jeep. [redacted] will state those documents where not amongst my personal belongings. You state towing fee's are $125.00 and storage is $40.00 a day. My jeep was towed in on March 14th according to the police report. It was towed 3 blocks. You state you told [redacted] on March 15th the fee's where at $325.00. That was $160.00 more than your standard fee's of $165.00. My father was taken to jail and his Cadillac was towed into your facility last month. How is it that you only charged him $100.00 in towing and storage fee's of his car. He gave no proof of valid drivers license or insurance to you. He also states that at first you told him $135.00 and then changed your mind. My fathers Cadillac was towed 2 miles, and was subject to the one day charge. Total fee's would be $165.00 just like my jeep. Your business has been open over 25 yrs. with Silvia in the office and Mr.B[redacted] working the shop and tow trucks. How is it that with all this experience these types of mistakes can be made? My father knew I had insurance and a valid drivers license. He expected a bill of $165 and the police stations charges of $90.00 totaling $255.00. He did not anticipate that you would try to extort additional fee's, and withhold my proof of ownership and insurance. #3) [redacted] states and will state that he was told if he wanted my purse out of the jeep he would need to sign the invoice releasing Burdens of the responsibility of my purse and personal belongings. He will state that he wrote nothing other than his signature. That is not his writing. Those are not the words that you stated to him and that is not the license plate number on my jeep. The police officers report states that the title was shown to him as proof of ownership. It also states I handed him my insurance card for verification. They were both on the dash in the jeep. #4) I appreciate you quoting the law for us. 30 days of holding was never an issue since Mr. B[redacted] on the 22nd day quoted me $450.00 cash by the 25th day giving me a deal as he did my father. On the 23rd day, Mr. B[redacted] sold it to my neighbor, telling him to wait until the 30th day and on the 24th day denying me the right to pay the fee of $450.00 and take my jeep as verbally agreed. Again you mention the status or my valid Oregon drivers license and valid insurance. Again, I will state my license and insurance were in good standing. #5) Thanks again for quoting the laws. I've never said the officer was not with in law to have the vehicle towed. Again, Mr. B[redacted] you failed to allow me to pay the fee's and take my property with in the thirty days the law allows. You made a deal with me and broke it. Man up Mr. B[redacted] you blew it. You just made it even worse. Please return my jeep or pay me fair market value for my jeep. Sincerely, [redacted]
Sincerely,[redacted]

I am going to except the invitation from Mr. B[redacted] and make an appointment to talk with him. So I am excepting this invitation but am retaining the right to reject it depending on the out come of the meeting. I need to meet with my attorney and then I will schedule it. Thank You [redacted]Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]
