In response to the complaint dated January 30, with case ID [redacted] .After diagnosing the vehicle Burdick BMW found that a part failed in the engineThepart failure was not related to the previous work performed on Mrs [redacted] vehiclealthough it does appear that way since the failure happened miles after the vehicle left our repair facilitySince Mrs [redacted] vehicle was out of warranty Burdick BMWadvocated on her behalf with BMW NA to cover the cost of the repairBMW NA agreeto cover the cost of the parts and for goodwill purposes Burdick BMW is covering thecost of the laborThis has already been communicated with Mrs***Mrs [redacted] hasbeen in a complimentary service loaner since her vehicle arrived at our dealership.David [redacted] Service Manager Burdick BMW [redacted]

I spoke with Mr [redacted] in length about the condition and circumstances of his vehicle.I explained that the repair costs at any amount exceed the value due to the extensive rust and rot of the vehicles sub-frameI advised that the vehicle was not safe to drive nor legal as it had not been inspected in over a yearThe vehicle would not currently pass a state inspection due to the sub-frame condition and suggested that the vehicle be scrapped o r donatedI offered to remove and reimburse him for the battery that he purchased through our parts departmentHe has since removed the vehicle from our premises and is going to come in person for his refund for the batteryThis was an agreeable solution to him.Service Manager David G [redacted] Burdick BMW [redacted]

at this time but are waiting forshop tool to continue inspection and diagnoses of the vehicleWe have been in contactwith both *** and her husband *** regarding what steps have and need to be taken.We did not offer to reimburse for the towing at this time as we do not currently have afull diagnosisOnce we determine failure, if the result was due to an error on our endthen we most certainly will reimburse the customer the cost of the tow.David ***Service ManagerBurdick BMW***

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Burdick BMW had my car for three weeks and my husband and I had to keep calling them to find out what was going on.  We provided the necessary paperwork of the car/oil changes of my car.  We both were told that the engine oil was clean and no sludge and that BMW would give us a new engine in good faith because I only drove 20 miles from the time I left the garage.  Burdick BMW called us on 2/17 stated that I had water in my engine.  I most certainly did not hit any water for that to happen.  Burdick BMW needs to take responsibility for ruining my car engine and replace it.  I also need to be reimbursed for the tow.  I need to reiterate that my car stalled on a busy road with my two kids in the car.  After spending over $1900...Regards,[redacted]
