I must say very friendly as usual. This has been my 5th the visit. Had my 04 expedition towed in cause would not start. I was told it was the fuse pump. This was not the problem and they couldn't find it. I was still charge 390.00 for the feul pump and 1 hour of labor. Had the truck towed down the street and it was the wire harness 195$ total. Took them 1 day Buford had my car 2 weeks. Then when I called him back to tell him what it was he say they checked that, must of missed it. Times are hard and I felt like they pulled a [redacted] on me.
Review: On three occasions, Burford's Auto Works told me that the noise in my car was in the engine and I needed to take it to the dealer. I went to another auto shop and was told that the problem was the alternator. I had a warranty on the alternator with Burford's so I took the car back to him for him to honor the warranty. He stated that the problem was in the engine. Frustrated, I took the car back to auto shop that diagnosed the alternator as the problem and had it replaced and took it back to Burford's with the receipt and asked for reimbursement of the alternator which he refused.Desired Settlement: I would like Burford's to reimburse me for the cost of the alternator (which I was charged only the auto shop's cost that I took it to) and the charge for looking at the car only to tell me it was in the engine and to take it to the dealer.
Business
Response:
Revdex.com spoke with the business regarding this complaint. The customer came to the business with issue's with her vehicle. After speaking with the customer about the issues it was recommended she take the vehicle to the dealer. the customer did not take the vehicle to a dealer but took it elsewhere and was told it was an issue with an alternator. The customer wanted the business to warranty the work for the alternator. The business told the customer to bring it back and they will look at it. The warranty is out for this work and the customer did not bring the vehicle back to this shop but took it elsewhere. No refund will be provided at this time.
