I can't speak for every other homeowners but can for my own house. I bought a solar home from Burghli in 2010, and within four years, a number of problems surfaced. The central A/C unit failed twice, the roof leaks, there's a small crack across the garage floor, paint on the house has faded, wood trimming on doors and windows rot leading to leaks, and the fence is falling apart. The biggest problem is a huge water bubble in the flat roof.
The builder only has a one year warranty on construction quality, leaving the homeowner shouldering the cost of repair after the one year period. There is a ten years structural warranty but that doesn't cover any of the problems I had. So far I've spent I've emailed and made calls to the builder on repeated occasions to seek advice, such as how the flat roof was constructed so that I could get the right contractor to fix it, but Burghli never returned my calls.

Buyers who are considering any of Burghli's homes should do their research and look at other builders to compare. Look carefully into what's covered under warranty and avoid this builder if they can.
