Was scheduled to have a skylight put in. Waited all morning and no one called or showed up. I called the office and the secretary said she would have him call. He never did so I called. He said it was a misunderstanding and he would try to get the workers out there and call me back. Waited all day and no call. Thank goodness I did not miss a day's work to wait around for this company. My neighbors also wanted skylights installed. I will inform them of the terrible service this company provides. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Not sure how he keeps his doors open. Seems like after reading the complaints this is his MO.","neg-1

Refuses to have communication with me as to status of job.Entered into contract 3/17/15 with Burke Roofing to install multiple skylights. When week of April 20th came I called [redacted] on his cell phone for status and he told me he would get the permit that week and start the job next week which was week of April 27th. I called back the middle of that week because no workers ever showed up. apologies ensued and he told me that he scheduled a meeting with the Fernley Building Department May 5th to get my permit and would call me after. No meeting ever happened and hence no permit. I called his office for an explanation on May 6th and he never returned the call. Called his cell phone on May 8th,no answer, left message no return call. Call cell and office on May 11th for info, same reply...nothing. It appears [redacted] never wanted to do the job but rather take my deposit instead.Desired SettlementI expected [redacted] to abide by the contract. But since it is quite obvious he is not going to do that, I expect the total refund of my deposit.Final Consumer Response The situation with Burke Roofing has been resolved. Received refund. had appointment to install skylights today, september 10, 2015. I left a message yesterday to confirm install. on phone conversation today, [redacted] said he would call me to confirm the appointment once he had all the materials from the manufacturer. I called and left a message yesterday asking him to call me back and give me a status update. today, he said that the blinds were on backorder and he could pick them up today and reschedule me for next week. I spoke with the manufacturers rep and was confirmed that all the parts are in stock and available. So basically, [redacted] lied. I missed an entire day of work and also cancelled an event attendance to be able to have this project performed.
