new bill pay vendor which included a change in printingservicesDr*** is a former customer of Burkhart whose account was rendered to outside collections inOnce a customer is placed in outside collections, Burkhart no longer mails statements to thecustomer for two reasons:aTo comply with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act of 1977bThe statement is no longer a true reflection of the account status due to internal processeson how collection agency payments are recorded and managedDuring the transition in printing services, a statement was sent to Dr*** in errorThe statementwas not accurateDr*** requested a copy of the ledger showing paymentsThis is not something we maintaininternally once an account has been assigned with outside collections.Our AP/AR Manager contacted Vericore to obtain the information and has forwarded it to Dr.*** with my contact information if she has any questions or additional information she needsThere is no overpayment or funds due to Dr*** - she still has a balance due with Burkhart.Burkhart has apologized for the confusion the erroneous statement has caused and has provided Dr***with the information she has requestedWe apologize again for any inconvenience or confusion this mayhave caused her.Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions or concernsSincerely,Jacquie S*General Counsel
