I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
They are obviously trying to use every card in their book to justify themselves. My husband was a union rep so don't tell him about Union laws!!!  As he told you over the phone he understands that. Also as you are trying to imply we had a problem with them from the start. I will contact a lawyer and you will loose if you play that little number again. It will be so funny to take your money over something like that. Just because you typed volumes of lies does not make them true. The only packing was on the kitchen table if that takes them an hour then it is not us that has the problem but you. As for the safe my husband in no way said any such thing. He explain and you had seen it the time YOU were here. So I do not accept any of these lies that you have said. We want no further communication with such slanderous people. The failure of your business will speak volumes. You have a great day living with your lies

Dear Mrs. [redacted],I truly saddens me to see a previously happy customer end up this way. I can assure you I have not told any lies. I have discussed this issue with you with the with complete honesty to the best of my knowledge. I am truly sorry we did not meet your expectations. In all fairness, your expectations are completely impossible. I would attach the original work order to this reply, but it has your personal information that I don't think you would appreciate if I shared it. Again, I offered to come finish the job myself, free of charge, but you declined. From my understanding, there were only a handful of items left that were unable to to fit in the truck. I would have gladly came and taken cared of them for you. Additionally, I instructed my crew leader to discount the 3rd man. He made a slight error and instead of completely being free it ended up being just over $2 an hour for him. I apologize for that. Your items were not damaged. Your only complaint was that they did not work fast enough. I disagree. Considering my experience, I am aware how long jobs take. Even after the discount, you damanded $170, I declined. I wish you the best luck in your future ventures. This will be that end of any communications with you.

Mrs. [redacted],I am terribly sorry you and your husband had such a bad experience. As you said, you have used us previously and you were very satisfied. I have gone over the details with my employees and it would appear as though we had some miscommunication. You stated in your complaint that...

the entire house was already packed when that is not entirely the case. My employees spent an hour packing. Also, there was another discrepancy with the gun safe. I was told that it was a "small safe, only one man could move it". The safe was actually closer to 600 lbs. When I spoke to your husband he reserved 2 men for 5 hours, and he wanted to start at 11 AM. I tried to get him to start earlier but he declined. I do apologize that the job ran later, but are men were fully intending on taking a 2nd load. Your husband declined. I am terribly sorry for any inconvenience your choice may have caused, but my guys worked hard, in some difficult circumstances. There is only so much possible space in a single truck, and we did the best of our ability. Additionally, when your husband did make the reservation, he only requested 2 men, this much I am certain. When I was told about the need of a 3rd man I sent another employee as soon as I possibly could. I would like to address an issue as well, to the comment attacking my employees. When you say they did not know what they were doing. I personally train all my employees until I believe them capable of doing the job safely and sufficiently. You were billed for 2 men, 5.75 hours, and another for 3.25 hours. This averages just under 5 hours per man. A normal load does in fact take around 5 hour to load and unload, but when you add in the extra packing, that was not requested, and also a 600 lb safe coming out of a basement, these things take time, and considering we did all of this in the amount of time it took, I am actually impressed. Your husband also made some rather unruly comments concerning my employees taking a lunch break. I can assure you, there are labor laws for a reason. My employees were more than entitled to a unpaid meal break considering they worked over 5 hours. Technically they worked 6.5 hours, took .75 hours off the clock for lunch, and were legally entitled to another 10 min break. They did not in fact take this because of the hostility they were facing. It's unfortunate the job went as late as it did, but sometimes when your moving, not everything goes exactly according to plan. If there was a time you wanted us done by, perhaps a earlier start time would have been a better choice. As for the "to big for their own good" comment, I apologize you felt like you were not being tended to. Here at BMS we take pride in going the extra mile. Yes we have grown since the first encounter, as all businesses do. It seems to me that the real problem was the fact that I was not on the job personally. For this, I truly apologize. If you wished me to be there you should have requested me personally. I did in fact speak with your husband and my exact words were "I have a crew scheduled at 11 AM." I would have had no problem being on this job, but it needs to be requested. I am the owner and unfortunately I can not be on every job. I was in fact on another job at the time yours took place. As for the receipt issue, here at BMS we try to be eco-friendly. We don't issue receipts on the spot unless payment is a credit card. Cash and check payments are on a requests basis. We would be more than willing to issue a receipt and send it in the mail if that is what you want. As for the Disputed Amount, my employees worked hard in the blistering heat, they arrived early and were willing to stay until the job was finished. Your husband told them no. I'm sorry you are not satisfied with your choice, but I cant be responsible for your actions. If you want I will come and finish the job personally first chance I can. I don't like to have any unhappy customers, and I am sorry that you feel the way you do but I do not feel as though you are entitled to half the cost of the job soley because you didn't allow us to finish the job. Your complaint was that my men didn't have any "he" what they were doing, what I can only assume means clue, when in fact they did a good job in under the amount of time you expected. And yes, here at Burnett's Moving Services we are in fact a EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER. If you had a personal problem with my employees why didn't you simply ask them to leave from the start?

I recently hired Burnett's to help load/unload about 50 boxes along with other misc. items. Ryan was absolutely terrific. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing any type of moving help. From answering questions, to booking, to moving day, Ryan and his team were the best! I cannot recommend highly enough!!

If I could give them zero stars I would. As they packed my UHAUL boxes, the owner was short with me at times and clearly tired, hungry or overwhelmed or something. His helper was nice, but scratched the top of my night stand when he drug a small tool box off of it, which he shouldn’t have placed there in the first place. I was standing right there and when I mentioned it, he said, well there are other scratches on it. Ya, it’s Ethan Allen and it’s “weathered” by design, but those scratches are not part of the design. They didn’t pack my boxes very well as it turns out. They placed the footboard to my bed at the door to the box, didn’t strap it down and are now blaming it on Uhaul. It’s not Uhauls fault they put the footboard at the end of the box without securing it. Burnett claims the haul supports are no good so they don’t use them. Well then he should have packed the furniture items accordingly, taking that into account. They also didn’t put blankets down on my coffee table before they backed boxed on top of it and are claiming that is also Uhauls fault. They didn’t wrap a lot of things, my glass table top wasn’t wrapped at all!!! There were bags and bags of unused Uhaul blankets in the boxes when I got to my destination. Now, the owner will only pay to fix the night stand because I was standing right there when it happened otherwise I’m sure he would claim that to be someone else’s fault too. I HIGHLY suggest you use someone else.

Review: Workers did not no what they were doing.

Paid over three hundred dollars for three guys to move a three bedroom house that had already been packed. The kitchen table held the only packing all the cupboards were empty all closets empty. Basement empty. We had enough furniture to stage the home. That's it. By 5pm that night still not done. They did not have a he what they were doing. I had packed the whole upstairs and had it moved out months before In Under five hours. I could not help so it was left to them and my husband who has a heart problem. He ended up with chest pains he was so upset. We had used them before and were very happy. We told everyone about them. Now we will tell everyone not to use them. They got too big for their own good. We will spread the word real fastDesired Settlement: We now have to pay another moving company to come and finish the job. I explained to the NEW moving company and they were appalled that they could not get it done. They saw the house and the unit and could not believe it.

We want our money back!!!!

Professional & friendly customer service provided by Kiah to set up appointment. Excellent service from Tyrone and Mike throughout the move process. They were on time and worked efficiently, quickly, and carefully during both the load and unload. Both were professional and friendly, and I would use their services again as well as highly recommend Burnett's Moving & Storage to others. Great job!!!

I am very happy with service I received from Burnett's moving.When I arranged to have the help meet me at my new location I got a call the day before to touch base with me.The day that I made it to my new place Branden and Tyrone were right there in perfect time.They are truly professionals...They are very clean and courteous. Burnett's Moving was recommended to me buy my mover in Sequim Washington and they do not risk their reputation unless they are certain of success.
Tyrone and Mike were as good as I have seen. Very professional and detailed.
They both hustled every minute on the job. It's nice to see that kind of hard working guys doing their job as well as they do.
