I received a voicemail from this resident that he felt that someone attempted to break in to his unitI called this resident back on 9/3/after I received the residents voicemail and an email from the records clerk at the Woodburn police department, that an officer had looked into this issue
My maintenance technician, at the time, had been in this unit on 8/25/to unclog the kitchen sinkHe spoke to the female resident in this unit and she had said nothing to him about the door jam or the attempted break inHe did however note that the door jam looked "old and maybe messed with"If the resident wanted the door looked at or repaired, all he needed to do was fill out a maintenance request for this specific issueBut, like I said, I received the voicemail from the resident and I filled out a maintenance request on 9/03/and left the resident a voicemail stating that my schedule had been hectic, that I had been filling in at another property, and I was apologetic that I had not gotten back to him soonerI stated that I had filled out the maintenance request to repair the doorBurnwood Manor is a small property and so we only have maintenance once a week, unfortunatelyThe week of September 7th, we had a change in maintenance personnel and so we did not have any maintenance coverage that weekBut on 9/15/I posted a hour notice on Mr*** doorWhile doing so, I took a look at the door from the outside and it seemed secure and there was no damage to door or jam, that I could see, from the outsideOn 9/16/my maintenance technician attempted to enter this unit to repair the door jamHe knocked 4-times, as is usual before entering the unitAfter unlocking the door, he found he could not enter because of the chain lock that is on the doorAnd the hour notice that was posted the day before was still on the doorHe told me that he could not enter and so I attempted to call the residentThere was no answer from either residentI have not talked to this resident on the phone, because he has not answered when I call, nor has he returned my messagesI have not spoken to this resident in person because he has not come to talk to me during business hoursI feel as though I have made my attempts to repair this issueEvery maintenance request that has been put in by this household has been addressed within days, but my maintenance technician cannot repair the issue if we cannot enter or get in contact with the resident
