Review: I took out a loan from my credit union on May 5th 2015 for $5,000. The same day I went to Burnworth auto sales and purchased a 2005 Chevy Equinox. It came with a 30 day or 1,000 mile warranty covering 50% of parts and labor. On July 4th my vehicles oil pump failed. I went to a local mechanic and paid him to replace it. However there was still a loud clicking coming from the engine that turned out to be a "lifter" in one of the cylinders. No mechanics in Johnstown would attempt the job so I contacted Burnworth's and was told by the owner that I could drop my vehicle off the following day and he would have it repaired and split the bill with me 50/50. I dropped my vehicle off on wednesday July 29th. I called the following Friday to get an update and was told that the owner had since went on vacation overseas and that the mechanic was "too busy" to start work on my suv. The man I spoke to told me that I could come get it or he would make sure that work would begin on my vehicle in the next day or two. I pleaded with him to get it fixed because I commute an hour to work each day and I needed the work done. He assured me it would be taken care of. Now today August 8th I called again for another update, and was told that my car was ready and eveything had been fixed. I specifically asked if the clicking noise had stopped and was told yes and that he also replaced a "sender" that supposedly moves oil through the engine. He told me I could come pick it up this evening and speak with the owner This coming Monday in regards to any payments to be made. I arrived after hours to bring my vehicle home and when I started it the clicking sound still persisted and as far as I can tell the only action they took was to reset the check engine light.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my vehicle repaired correctly. However I don't trust that the employees of Burnworth auto will put forth the necassary efforts to ensure that quality work be done on my vehicle. I would also be satisfied if my money could just be refunded so that I can either purchase another car or even use it as a down payment.

Review: After purchasing vehicle, driving it home the check engine light came on and large knocking from engine occurred. Vehicle was under limited warranty, so I took it to Burnworth to fix. They informed me they "forgot to put vacuum hose back on". When I purchased the vehicle, I asked if there were any problems with car or if anything needed fixed/replaced, I was told "No, this is a great car it won't leave you stranded". After a week of having the car, it began to make a very loud screeching sound. I took it to an auto shop where they had to replaced serpentine belt and timing belt and a 300$ charge. After driving it for a few more days the car began to hesitate to start. I took car to auto shop again due to it's closer location. They stated vehicle needed: spark plugs (current plugs were not correct ones) timing belt, tensioner, water pump and exhaust manifold. The auto shop stated it should not be driven because it was at point of high possible damage to engine. I called Burnworth and they said they'd pick it up and fix it and I gave them my number so I could know when to pick it up. I had to call them four different times to find out what was happening with the vehicle and then I was told it was available. I took car back home and took it to auto shop to check to make sure they did what they were supposed to do. Due to high labor cost, they assessed what they could see without dis-assembly of the engine. Burnworth stated the replaced: spark plug wire sets, timing belt & tensioner, water pump, crankshaft seal, valve cover gasket set, and ignition coil. I was charged 250$. Shortly after driving I had to pull over due to inability to turn steering wheel. They did not put the hose to my power steering back together where it was steadily leaking my drive home. When auto shop looked at it, they immediately found no spark plugs had been changed. Annoyed at this point, I had shop replace (140$) and went home. After two weeks cars check engine light came on and took it to auto shop after it was diagnosed vacuum hose. When inspected they noticed timing belt was not replaced, significantly loose after supposedly being replaced two weeks prior. I was charged for a timing belt and spark plugs that were NOT fixed by Burnworth.Desired Settlement: I was given limited-warranty for 90 days after purchased. I paid Burnworth 250$ for issues of vehicle that was supposed to have "no issues", on top of 400$ that was billed to another auto repair shop. I want my car fixed PROPERLY and with the repairs that I was billed for.

Review: WE BOUGHT A USED CAR FROM THEM ON 9/23 AND IT KEEPS SHUTTING OFF WHEN DRIVING AND WAS REALLY HOT. WE DID TAKE CALL THEM AND I CALLED THEM ON 10/8 AND TOLD THEM AND THEY SAID THAT HAPPENS WITH THE CHEAPER CARS AND I SAID I DON'T CARE IF IT WAS $1,000 IT SHOULD AT LEAST RUN. ALSO TOLD THEM THAT I WORK IN A GARAGE AND WAS TOLD THE CAR HAD TO BE ROADWORTHY AND PASS INSPECTION. THEY SAID WELL WHY DON'T YOU HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT. I SAID NO WE BOUGHT IF FROM BURNWORTH AND WE WOULD BRING IT OUT THAT DAY. WE TOOK THE CAR OUT AND THEY SAID TO LEAVE IT. THEY CALLED YESTERDAY 10/10/13 THAT IT WAS DONE. THEY SAID THEY REPLACED AN O2 SENSOR AND REPAIRED SOME WIRING. DROVE THE CAR TODAY 10/11 AND IT STILL KEEPS SHUTTING OFF. WILL TAKE IT BACK OUT TO THEM TODAY AND SEE WHAT THEY SAY. IT WAS AN INEXPENSIVE VEHICLE BUT IT SHOULD AT LEAST RUN.Desired Settlement: IF THEY CANNOT FIX IT I WOULD LIKE A REFUND TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER CAR.
