We contracted with Burrell Construction to build a deck July Only now are we beginning to see the poor workmanship The post cemented in the ground and used as support and railing, had warped We removed the deck boards around the post only to discover he had cut the post 98% thru, had put nails in it to hold it together and built the deck concealing the work Upon removing the boards to do the repair we discovered unsupported areas and areas with support but no part of the deck touching the supportsThe wood used has been a constant source of "backed out" nails and splinters We had requested deck screws but Mr Burrell had assured us the nails he was using would never back out Some deck boards warped and cuppedThe stairs he put in had to be replaced as they pulled away from the upper deck and it was a trip factor along with looking awfulThe deck nails do not line up and some areas may have nails bunched together, aesthetically unappealing To say we are disappointed is an understatement
