Mike and his father did a wonderful job on my stairs I went from carpet to hardwood on two sets of stairs in my home the price was right and they were awesome They finished very fast, and even through in some of their own supplies since I had a couple of problems with one set of stairs In the end my stairs cam out beautiful, just what I was hoping for

Failure to honor construction contract to replace windows. Refusal to complete job and stole $8,000 deposit.I hired company to replace windows in my home. I gave them an $8000 deposit on 11/10/14 with job completion to be no later than 4 weeks per the contact. Incorrect size bay windows delivered to my home on 12/17. The other windows never arrived.[redacted] promised to remove them within several days. He never showed up. He promised to provide status on timing of delivery of correct windows. Never did. After trying to reach a compromise with him to get the project completed, he has refused to answer all phone call, emails and text messages. I have requestes my $8k deposit back and the removal of the incorrect windows from my garage. He has refused to respond. In short, I have paid him $8k and he has delivered nothing and gone dark.I want my money back immediately and the windows in my garage removed.Desired SettlementI want my $8000 dollars back immediately and the immediate removal of the windows he had delivered that are useless to me.Business Response The correct windows were ordered per contract but took a little extra time to come in because of the special ordering of the size. During this time customer demanded us to remove windows and return money which couldn't be granted because there are no refunds on special orders. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The response is a complete lie and I have text message documentation to prove it. 2 of 13 windows arrived late and were the wrong size. [redacted] came to my house and agreed he made a huge mistake and promised to remove them the next day and resolve the problem that was his fault. He never showed up after promising several times and making countless excuses.After trying for several weeks to get him to remove the windows and advise on the timing of delivery of the remaining windows ( that were also promised within 2-4 weeks of signing the contract ), I finally told him I wanted my money back. He has disappeared as he knows this is his error and owes me the money. Lastly, the job is a window replacement job so ALL of the windows are custom. He knew this when he quoted and that is why he gave a range of 2-3 weeks standard delivery OR 3-4 weeks at MOST ( the wording on the contract. He is absolutely lying about this whole situation and I have text messages from him and a contract to prove it. I want the wrong size windows removed from my garage ( which he measured and agreed they were 20 inches off which is inexcusable and makes them useless....HE DID THE INITIAL MEASUREMENTS AND ORDERED THEM !), and I want my full $8k deposit back immediately which I am being told by the Mass office of consumer affairs was an illegal deposit request. This guy is a thief. He made a HuGE measurement mistake, is lying about it and has stolen my deposit with ZERO response in weeks and no work being completed. Yes, he is fired due to failure to meet contractual terms, failure to deliver any product/service. The office of Consumer affairs will be coming after him as well. He can make this all go away by returning my money and getting the wrong size bay windows (taking up my garage space by the way...) out of my home. And of course he needs to stop lying. Please chase him down and let me know his response....Thank you....Final Business Response We acknowledge we measured and ordered the windows. Per the contract they are the correct size for the job. We always order exactly what is on the contract and that is what we did. I was only suggesting to the home owner to measure the windows as to what he signed a contract for and he will see we did not make an error.
