Beware of Deception and Dishonest Billing! I hired Burrows to move a few items (office size desk, chairs, paintings) from a warehouse to our house The job took men hours - from the time they started at the warehouse until they finished the job at our house I was previously quoted a 3-hour minimum by Steve (Accounts person) at $99/hour, which he stated as the time to do the job (hours in this case) plus travel time from their office to the first location (to the warehouse, mins) and travel time from our house back to the Burrows office (mins – they are blocks from us) Since the total time was only hours, my understanding was that I would have to pay for hours But when my husband met the movers at the warehouse to pick up the items, they had him pay the 3-hour minimum plus 1-hour minimum travel time (he paid for hours) I reached Steve the next day (after a couple of unreturned calls), and his explanation of the 3-hour minimum confirmed our original conversation; but Steve also said that he needed to dig up the paperwork on the move before calling me back I never got the call back, and he did not return my subsequent calls During another call to Burrows, someone explained the same pricing to me, which confirmed I should have only been charged the 3-hour minimum; he asked me to call Kristin of Accounting another day When I connected with Kristin, she told me that she would send me a check for $the next day (I was shocked at the seeming pleasant turn of events) But five days later and some unreturned calls today, I still do not have the refund I waited weeks to post this review as I held out hope that it was just a mistakeI know now that I was just being strung along and that no refund is ever coming
