Busby Tire & Allignment Reviews (1)

My vehicle broke down Jan. 23rd 2015 on [redacted] in Huntingdon, TN vehicle mileage was 204,924 @ which point I had it towed to Busby of Camden, TN. The shop was closed all weekend. They opened on the 26th of Jan. 2015. They looked at and needed to go into the motor. They broke it down to see what the damage was to either fix or replace. At first I either needed a used block or new block. I told them to give me 2 weeks to start working on my vehicle, so I could get the funds to pay for the repair cost. What they found when breaking it down or shall I say stated, that my cylinder head had warped about 1/8 of an inch from the block, all I needed was new cylinder head. I said fix it. I got my vehicle back on the 18th of March 2015. On the 14th of May 2015 mileage 208,590 while in Paris, TN my vehicle started making noise, loosing power to go and check engine light started flashing rapidly. [redacted] dealership was less than half mile away, I barely made it. Had them put on diagnostic machine to find out what problem is and fix if possible. They came back with inconclusive and had to look deeper in the motor. This is my only vehicle, I said fix if cost is less then $400. Next day they break it down and find the #4 rocker arm was not torqued down properly when the engine was reassembled at Busby. I went to Busby June 12th 2015 and showed one of the men my bill and work performed by [redacted]. He said I should've called them for tow, yet they'd already closed. He said when he bought the new cylinder head(s) from [redacted] the rocker arm and push rods come already attached. I went to [redacted] called a lifer mechanic, did research online, with my own knowledge, found we were all right cylinder head(s), never come pre assembled. Back to Busby, same man said I should've called Busby to tow & fix cause it has warranty of 3 years. He handed me a warranty card to call if it happens again. I called them, they said if was a major repair they will not cover cost of tow or repair. No Help To Me At All!Product_Or_Service: [redacted]Order_Number: [redacted]Account_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementFirst off I want a full refund of $322.33, for my out of pocket cost to [redacted] Dealership, for repair #2 that could have been prevented if mechanic at Busby had done his job right the first time. Then I want $300. refunded back to me for part of Busby labor cost cause the mechanic did not do his job the first time. Plus $400. for future repair cost that may occur for a similar break down when I return to TX cause their warranty is not covered here in TN at their business or anyplace elseBusiness Response [redacted] did not contact the business and let it be know that there're was a problem that had occurred. she came to the shop with a bill from another repair facility that was not a reasonable price. in which she asked for a check for compensation. I told her that due to not knowing the problem had occurred there would be nothing that I would be able to do. stating that the work would have been under warranty and I would have made accommodations if she would have contacted me that a problem had occurred. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)At the time my vehcile broke down it was 5:45pm, Busby tire and alignment had already closed for the day at 4pm. The vehcile had to be put on machine to find out what the problem was. As to busby warranty program towing my vehcile from one repair shop to another would not have changed the end result. Busby warranty program does not warranty major repairs of any sort. Busby tried to cover up by stating to me that a cylinder head comes preassembled. I know they don't, I contacted several friends that verified for me, as well as going straight to [redacted] where the parts came from telling them what busby said. They agreed with me showed me the part that busby ordered, to which was not preassembled. This proves that one of Busby's mechanics did not do his job and tork down a rocker arm properly. Rocker arm #4 slipped out of it's position almost causing a rod to be thrown through the block of my motor. My vehcile was repaired by the manufacture of my truck, and the repair cost is reasonable, considering it cost a bit over $1500. at Busby's for the repair they did. If the mechanic did his job right the first time my truck would not have broke down. If this had happen on my way back to Texas the cost would've been more from another repair shop. One way or another it was going to happen, given the ability of lack of proper torking of mechanics work. I did not ask for a check for compensation of my out off pocket exspence. I did ask how he was going to handle this matter. I'm out of pocket an extra $322.33 because someone at busby didn't do his job right. I did not have my phone with me the day my truck broke down. It was by the grace of GOD I remembered my friends home number to get a ride back to their house cause [redacted] dealer had no loaner cars available that day. I've done business with Busby for 20 years now and this is the first time I've had a problem with them. My truck was repaired by a [redacted] dealership that sells and repairs [redacted] plus I had my truck back the next day, repaired and back on the road. Busby work was a lack for better judgement, and the [redacted] repairman stated that some bolts on one side of the block was not removed meaning I paid for a full job and may not have gotten a full service. Could this be why Busby didn't like the fact that a [redacted] Dealership repaired Busby's fault! I don't know but something is not right. Any other mechanic would have done business better to keep their patrons happy and returning. I've other resources at hand to use if I'm forced too. I'm asking for the $322.33 out of pocket cost that could have been prevented if mechanic done his job right, plus $322.33 for labor cost paid to Busby for an incomplete job the first time around and another $400. for my suffering and agony of a faulty mechanics job! How ever I'll settle for out of pocket costs of $322.33 + $322.33 for labor that was not completed. Don't blame me I didn't work on my truck, blame the mechanic who worked on my truck!
