I recently paid in full all of my accounts and was mislead to think that my credit accounts would be deleted from my [redacted] reports, which has been done by several other companies I paid in full recently. ON 8/30/16, I called and spoke to [redacted], who told me it is not company policy to remove paid in full accounts from credit reports contrary to what I was told previously, attempted to speak to or be referred to a voicemail for the owner of this company regarding company policy. This representative was highly rude and spoke over me, and she insisted there is no way to get in touch with the owner or anyone of a higher rank than her at this company. This is a very shady business and I am very dissatisfied with being stonewalled on attempting to resolve and issue.Desired SettlementI would like my accounts that have been PAID IN FULL to be removed from my credit report. I would like to speak to the owner of this company regarding credit reporting policies and the fact that I was mislead to think my accounts would be removed from my credit report if I paid them in full. Business Response Our credit reporting policy has been in place for many years. We have no control over what other companies do. Collection accounts are not removed just because a consumer pays it in full. At no time did our representative say or infer that an account would be removed from the consumer's credit. Perhaps the consumer thought we would remove the account if he paid cash because other companies had done so. After reviewing this account, our manager called the phone number the consumer provided, however, the number was not in service. Since we have not been able to contact the consumer by phone, a letter is being sent to the consumer. The letter will explain our resolution to this complaint.

I have paid the below accounts in full and want them removed from my credit.[redacted] I paid these account in full and want them removed from my credit. I did not ever receive any notice of this debt from your office.[redacted]Desired SettlementRemove the below accounts from my credit since they have been paid in full.[redacted]Business Response These accounts were included in [redacted] and this is public record. Once an account is paid in full, it will be reported as paid but it is not deleted from a consumer's credit.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)These accounts have been paid in full therefore they should be deleted from my credit. I never reviewed any prior notice of these account either. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I never received any notice by mail or phone until I was served the judgement papers. That is when I called into your office to pay the accounts your office did not ever contact me. Updating these accounts to paid does nothing for a consumers credit. They should be removed exspecially if you have a consumer that is actually paying their debt. Final Business Response The facts are that all proper notification was sent to the consumer and no mail was returned. We contacted the consumer by phone twice and left 2 messages. Accounts are not deleted just because they are paid. The credit is updated to reflect the paid in full status. All the accounts in question were included in a judgement and all judgment information is public record. We have responded to this complaint and have no further comments.

April 7th, 2015To Whom it May Concern; After having my credit report pulled, I became aware of a medical bill that I didn't know I owed.I was never properly notified of this bill by certified mail. Now that I have paid this bill in full, Business & Professional Collections will not delete it from my credit report. The account #[redacted] which I paid in full today (4/7/15) of $551.49. Confirmation #[redacted]. Sincerely,[redacted]Account_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementI would like to have this account removed from my credit report.Business Response In reviewing this account, I have found that a validation letter was sent to the consumer on 5-4-12 as required by law. There was no mail return. Two additional letters were sent, also no mail return. The consumer called our office and requested a copy of the itemized statement from the original creditor. This was sent to him on 9-2-14. We received no further response until he called our office on 4-7-15. The consumer then told our office that he believed the services were never performed. I have requested this to be deleted from the consumer's credit report and a letter is being sent to the consumer to let him know that this has been requested. We have no control over how long it will take the credit bureaus to update this information.

Medical bill was given to this company for collection in JAN2015. The full total of the bill, $33, was paid JUN2015. Item still appears on credit despite the matter being fully resolved a year ago.Product_Or_Service: Fufillment of debt collectionAccount_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementI'd like this removed from my credit report. The account has been settled for over a year. There is no reason for this to remain on my report. Business Response Yes, this account is paid in full. A collection account is not removed from a consumer's credit. The account was reported to the 3 credit bureaus as paid in full on 7-13-15.

I want this collection removed from my credit bureaus. This collection had been paid in full.Account_Number: [redacted]Desired SettlementI want the collection removed from my reports since it has been paid in full.Business Response We give a consumer 90 days to pay their account before putting it on their credit record. This account is paid in full but was assigned to our office 2-14 and not paid until 12-15. Accounts are not removed from a consumer's credit when they are paid in full. However, the account will show a "paid" status on the consumer's credit.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)This was paid in full as you said, which means it needs to be removed. The other 3 companies I just dealt with removed there collections. If not I will be forced to escalate it to the credit bureaus, which I hope doesn't have to happen. MY I also state I received NO NOTIFICATION OF THIS DEBT FROM THIS OFFICE. Only way I found out was checking my credit score recently, hints the reason I emailed them for the account number to pay it. I have the emails.Final Business Response A paid in full account is not removed from a consumer's credit. It is updated as "paid". We had no mail return from the numerous notices sent to the consumer. Due to the fact that that we cannot prove the consumer received notices any more than he can prove he didn't, we have requested this account be removed from the consumer's credit. It may take up to 45 days for the credit bureau to update his credit record and this is beyond our control.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)

acct# [redacted] is not my account, and I have never been contacted about this account.#[redacted] not my account, however is on my credit report.Desired SettlementI need account [redacted] removed from my credit reportBusiness Response I have reviewed the consumer's information and the account in question. We did receive a dispute on this account in October, 2013, and a letter of response was sent to the consumer. At no time did the consumer dispute the account with the original creditor or file a fraud packet with them. Due to the age of the account in question, we have requested the account be deleted from the consumer's credit report. This may take the credit bureaus up to 45 days to process and unfortunately that is out of our control.

This company continued to report my accounts to credit bureaus as "Open" even after my BK was discharged since 06/06/14. This company was given more than adequate communication by my attorney and by Bankruptcy Court in regards to my case (#[redacted]). While the company zeroed my balance, they continued to report my accounts "Open" up to now and it has detrimentally affected me financially.Desired SettlementI need this company to close all my accounts and update with all 3 credit bureaus by removing it from my file.Business Response We have reported all accounts to the 3 credit bureaus as being discharged in bankruptcy. In fact, we have done this twice. Unfortunately, we have no control over what the credit bureaus do with the information that is sent to them. The customer needs to file a consumer dispute directly with the credit bureaus. In an attempt to help the customer, we will send a request to the credit bureaus for the third time, telling them that all our accounts are covered in the customer's bankruptcy.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I have filed a consumer dispute directly with the credit bureaus and was informed that they need collection agency to update all the accounts to show "CLOSED" and not "OPENED". They did get the information about the debt being included in the bankruptcy although they need the collection agency to change the account status to "CLOSED" or a letter stating to remove all the accounts from report. I will greatly appreciate the urgency and consideration with this matter.Final Business Response We updated all of the consumer's accounts on the credit bureaus again this morning. They have been reported as included in bankruptcy and the date the accounts were CLOSED. We are following the credit bureau procedures but we have no control what they do with the information that we send them. I am sorry this consumer is having such a difficult time. If these accounts are not updated within 30 - 45 days, the consumer should call our office directly.
