Business Extension Bureau-Houston Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowI only had the fuel pump replaced because Bill Collins told me that was the problem I trusted as a dealer they were correct and so did my mechanic The price they were going to charge for the fuel pump was astronomical (and the service rep I dealt with agreed) They put it writing that is was bad I paid for them to tell me this and they were wrong The second time I went in after replacing the pump, I explained a fuse issue to them But, this was secondary I was mainly concerned why after replacing the pump was my car still stalling on a start They were unable to figure this out and that is why I was not charged for the second visit The problem is not fixedRegards,

This letter is in reference to Ms. [redacted] 2005 Ford Focus. Ms. [redacted] did in fact bring her focus into our dealership on November 11, 20**. At that time (See RO [redacted]) we did an multi point inspection and performed a battery test. We gave Ms....

[redacted] an estimate of $1,366.66 to replace her fuel pump.
On repair order[redacted] Ms. [redacted] was charge only for a diagnosis fee to find out what her problem could be. The total charge was $89.95. Ms. [redacted] declined to make any further repairs at this time. She had stated that she would take the Focus to her mechanic. Ms. [redacted] left with her 2005 Ford Focus.
On December 3, 20** Ms. [redacted] again returned to our dealership for electrical diagnoses. Customer states after having fuel pump replace (elsewhere) that the gas and tach gauge needles do not come up for about 30 seconds, also the radio quit operating it has no volume and has tried to replace fuse but the fuse blows when installed.
See repair order[redacted] dated December 3, 20**. Bill Collins Ford Lincoln did the following, with regards to the radio fuse it was replaced with a larger amp fuse, we installed AC sensor fuel injector and replaced fuel pressure regulator and we again did a multi point inspection and performed battery test. All of these items from RO [redacted] was not charged to Ms. [redacted].
Please see attached vehicle warranty information from Ford Motor Co. on Ms. [redacted] Focus VIN #[redacted]. All warranty has been cancelled because somewhere along the way the title to said vehicle has been branded.
Ms.. [redacted] requested that she be refunded the original $89.95 and for us to refund her the $603.20 for fuel pump she had replaced elsewhere.
We feel that Bill Collins Ford Lincoln did nothing wrong and we do not owe Ms. [redacted] any sort of refund. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has cause her.
Sincerely,
[redacted], Service Manager|Bill Collins Ford Lincol
