While I am grateful for finally receiving a refund, it took a LOT of pressure on my part to get Arizona Living Rentals & Property Management to do the right thing.  They had a duty and an obligation to disclose the fact that the rental property was under application, so that I could make an informed decision.  Their explanation does not pass muster, as there was no application deadline given for this property to which I applied.  A new application--such as my own--could have been completed online even at the moment the owner was reviewing applications received to date.  While I understand Arizona Living Rentals & Property Management's need to protect the interests of the property owners who hire them, I hope they also will take a serious look at their policy and procedure from the consumer's point of view.  As it is now, it is unfair to the consumer.
