Review: Bought a 2013 Mercury 260 Dynamic Hypalon Inflatable boat for $1699.00 from them plus shipping. They sent me a 2012 Mercury 260 Dynamic Hypalon Inflatable boat that has surface imperfections when inflated. This transaction was on eBay. When I discovered the boat was the wrong year I started the correct procedure on eBay but so far I have heard nothing from them. They need to contact us to settle this.

I paid for a 2013 model. I either need a 2013 model boat or I need a refund for the obviously older and less desirable boat I received.Desired Settlement: They need to refund probably around $500.00 to my PayPal account

or

Pay the return shipping, arrange a shipper to pick this boat up and send me the proper 2013 model boat which I have paid for.

Response:

I am a little confused as to why this complaint was brought to the Revdex.com? The advertisement said New Leftover 2013, the product that was shipped from the leftovers was a 2012 and we told her we would get a new boat (2013) sent out to her just let us work out with the manufacturer. Today we emailed the manufacturer to purchase and ship a 2013 for her as well as have the 2012 picked up. I am not sure what more than that we can offer? She paid for the 2013 and we are getting the 2013 to her. I am sorry the 2012 arrived and I am glad she let us know, now we have to swap the boat for her. There is no $500 discount for a year older model, we will make arrangements to work around her schedule whatever time is best to pick up the 2012.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Review: January [redacted]2014 I bought a 2014 Mercury 260 Hypalon Inflatable boat for $1699.00 from Buster's Marine on eBay. A 2012 Mercury 260 Hypalon Inflatable boat arrived. I complained even filing a Revdex.com complaint. Buster's says it will make it right and they will send us the boat we ordered. Great!

This week they ship it out to us, telling us it is a 2014 model. Now all the time I insist I just want my purchased & paid for 2013 Mercury 260 HYPALON boat so I assume this is a HYPALON boat, just a 2014 model to make up for my inconvenience.

Last evening, I checked the shipper's website and found my bill of lading. The boat in transit is a PVC boat. I DO NOT WANT A PVC BOAT. NO WAY, NO HOW!

I call Mercury Marine Customer Service to make sure there is no mistake and they verify that Buster's specifically ordered a 2014 Mercury 260 PVC boat for me and that I should call them.

I am unsure if it is incompetence or the old bait and switch tactic being used here. If it is incompetence then I am sure Buster's will fix this and send me the boat I paid for, a 2013 MERCURY 260 HYPALON INFLATABLE BOAT.

If there seems to be a bait and switch going on here I will contact every investigative agency in New York, any appropriate law enforcement and prosecutor's offices I have to to get this scam off the internet. I believe interstate fraud carries severe penalties. I am sure eBay will be interested in the fact that one of their sellers is substituting older and or inferior products to the ones the buyer's in good faith purchased. I can assure Buster's I have lots of time and patience and will not go away to whine quietly in a corner wondering how I got cheated. I will stay on this until it I receive what I paid for.

Right is right and I only ask for what is right and that is for Buster's to do the right thing and SEND ME A 2013 MERCURY 260 HYPALON INFLATABLE BOAT.Desired Settlement: Send me a 2013 MERCURY 260 HYPALON INFLATABLE DINGHY and stop trying to bait and switch me. No substitutes allowed.

Review: On approximately June **, 2014, I ordered an inflatable dinghy from Busters Marine for a purchase price of $2,699. As I am a British citizen living aboard my sailing vessel in the Caribbean, with my banking services in the United Kingdom, I engaged the services of the company [redacted] in order to make the payment to Busters and to convert UK Sterling into US $. Within a few hours of making the transfer, I received an email from [redacted] informing me that a payment transfer had bounced due to an incorrect ACH or account number. I assumed that the bounced payment was the $2,699 to Busters, so I telephoned Busters, explained to a service representative that I thought my payment had bounced, and at my request was given a different Busters account number.Several days later I discovered I had made an error. About a week prior to asking [redacted] to send $2,699 to Busters for a dinghy, I had requested that [redacted] send $10,000 to Spice Island Marine, a boatyard in [redacted], where I was having work done on my boat. It was this payment that bounced and due to my mistake I transferred that $10,000 to Busters Marine.Despite almost a years worth of correspondence with Busters, they refuse to return the money to [redacted]. Busters reason is that they say I am trying to scam them. I have provided Busters with all the evidence they need to show that I am not trying to scam them. This is just a smokescreen by them to avoid returning my funds and they have no evidence to back up their "claim".Desired Settlement: I would like the $10,000 that I sent in error via [redacted], to be returned to [redacted].

Placed order of Amazon which described as product being shipped same day as ordered. Almost a week later and still hasn't shipped. Poor communication with seller never responding to emails or messages also

Review: I bought inflatable boat from Busters marine in April** 2011 with warranty of 5years for everything. After 2seasons boat had leak everywhere. After too many attempt to get somebody-I tryed to fix boat.brought it to [redacted] services-spent 430 dollars to repair and when I tested on the water-water leak again. now they asking 750 dollar to repar leak. Finally I got the owner of Busters marine on phone-and he recomend to call manufacturer of this boat BIG DOG BOATS which located in NC but no answer on my calls to them. Now I ask you to help me to solve my problem

Response:

This is a mistake. The customer bought a boat from me in 2011 (as they state) the inflatable boat got a leak (as they state) they took the inflatable to [redacted] for repair (as they state, which is not us nor affiliated with us) they paid [redacted] $430 to repair the leak ( as they state) then they tested the boat and the boat still leaks ( as they state) I am not sure how this has anything to do with us? They called us for help after the fact, we advised maybe it would be covered by warranty and gave them the manufacturers phone number. I contacted the customer today to see what he possibly wants from us, his response was he wants me to take the boat, repair it properly even though he paid someone else, and ship it back to him. He wants to pay us nothing. He wants us to repair this for free because three years ago we sold him the boat. We value our customers and there satisfaction and we have agreed to fix the repair, a repa ir he paid someone else to fix and was done improperly, and we are going to fix it for free. We sell over 1,000 inflatables a year and have never had anyone complain about our sales or our repairs. When we fix a boat it does not leak after or we would fix it again. He paid someone else to fix it and its still leaking. We charge $110 to repair a leak, he paid them $430 to repair it and its not working, I would be upset aswell but he should be upset with the place he paid to repair it.

We are repairing there mistake for free and paying to ship the boat back to him when we are done.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

we negotiated with busters and agreed to pay $ 600.00 for 2013 Mercury air deck inflatable boat Model 270 8 feet 4inch Hypalon. (Not PVC-which is very important) new in unopened box and we will send check and first they have to deliver boat to us and ONLY after that we will remove our complain from Revdex.com.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,
