Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Thank you for your offerI have to refuse because I am right, and I deserved another kind of treatment by youKeep repeating that, If you didn't like anything about this transaction you shouldn't buy the car, is not gonna give a answer to my questionsMy complaint is regarding the dealer, how you treat the customer not regarding the carSo, please do not try to hide behind the transaction occurred, but provide a solution to the issues arising from it.You are a big and important dealerAnd you know that in your job the image is everythingI am pretty sure that after reviewing my case, involving Mr [redacted] and [redacted] , involving your service center (to provide the necessary information regarding the maintenance made by BellAudi), questioning all the main actors in this transaction, car sold "As is", improper bill of sale, then , We can talk over the 300$ and resolve this complaint Regards, [redacted]

We would also like to settle this matter with [redacted] as his vehicle is still here and he his driving a loaner car that we provided to himHowever we feel his request is to repair the vehicle at no charge to him is unreasonable Your listing of what took place is not 100% correct and missing detaillisted below is what took place and what repairs we made.In November [redacted] brought his vehicle to us for the first time with miles on it He stated the check engine light was on and white smoke coming from exhaust and that his power trunk was not working We scanned the engine computer and found faults in the system There were misfire faults recorded for cylinders 2, 3,,5,and Along faults for the right side osensor and left engine mount We diagnosed the cause of the misfire in the cylinders to a faulty breather valveThe other faults were sporadic We ran the test plan for them, they passed so we cleared them with no repair doneDuring this visit we also found the air bag light was on and that the front control arm bushings were badly worn needing replacementBoth items are a safety issue so we brought it to [redacted] ’s attentionHe asked that we present those problems to his warranty company which we did They covered the repair to the control arm bushing but not the Air bag light Total paid by warranty company was $for all covered repairs[redacted] returned in December with miles on it now The check engine light was on again and vehicle was running rough with lack of powerScan of the computer revealed faults for misfires in cylinder (right side cylinder head) along with sporadic faults for the right side Osensor and left motor mount Upon inspection we found coolant leaking into cylinder # causing the misfire This can only be caused by a cracked or warped cylinder head, bad head gasket or cracked or warped cylinder blockThe only way to determine the exact cause is to disassemble the engine and inspect the possible causes Which we did and found the head gasket to be at fault We replaced both gaskets We also replace the Osensor at this time for the fault we were getting which was for the right side front sensor.(vehicle has osensors) Total repairs bill paid by warranty company was [redacted] returned in February with miles on it Check engine light was on Sporadic Faults for both right side osensors were present We ran test plans checked wiring, reset system test drove vehicle miles No faults returned We returned vehicle to [redacted] No charge to anyone. In April vehicle returned now with miles on it There was a humming noise coming from the dash area and loud buzzing noise when operating sunroof The humming noise was caused by a faulty valveand the sunroof needed a new motor Repairs were covered by his warranty Please note there was no longer a check engine light on or any fault codes. In May with miles vehicle returnedThe check engine light was on again and he states the navigation screen in dash would get stuck opening and closing Again we scanned vehicle and this time there were faults for the left front sensor We replaced left front osensor and the navigation screen mounting unit to address both concerns Charges were paid by warranty company. In June with miles on it vehicle returned Now we have an EPC light on with a lack of power Stored faults for motor mountsWe replace both motor mounts Charges were And again covered by his warranty Which brings us to the current visit with 105,miles on it It now has a fault for misfires in cylinder #(left side cylinder head, misfire in December was with cylinder #3/ right side head) and just like in December when we found coolant in cylinder#3/right side cylinder head we now have coolant in cylinder #the left side headAnd before the only way to determine the cause is to take it apart and inspect the block/head gasket and head Which we did and found a crack in the head at this timeHe also has a concern with the keyless entry system not working on the driver’s sideThe driver’s side door sensors are not working we would need to replace them both to fix that problem The cost to replace just cylinder head is $ The cost to fix the door handles is $ We did contact his warranty company and the repairs are covered, the problem is that his contract had a maximum payout amount He only has about in coverage left on his policy Over the last months or so we have addressed multiple issues with this Aand each time we did a repair to address the fault, that fault with the vehicle did not return In addition there is no possible way that the left side cylinder head was cracked in December He has put over 10,miles on this car since then and the diagnostic logs I have support that there weren’t any issues with the left side cinder head In addition I’m estimating that his policy had approximately 12,in coverages Of which 11,was used to address the multiple issues Had we replaced the cylinder head when it didn’t need it There wouldn’t have been funds available to do the repair it did need at the time it need it.With that said we would still like to settle this and move on We are willing to replace the driver’s side cylinder head for 4,and sent this proposal to the attorney that you had contact us the other day However this vehicle is year old car with over 105, There is no guarantee that in or months or months down the road something else fails on the vehicle

We sell cars "As Is" when they have over 100,miles and do offer a warranty for purchase which is optional Taxes are not something that is negotiable as it is charged by the individual State and is not something we negotiate in the price All our cars are advertised as plus taxes, title and dealer fees If you didn't like anything about the purchase or disagreed with anything you did not have to go through with the sale We don't force people to buy cars and would have gladly cancelled the transaction if you were not satisfied with any part of the sale In the interest of settling this we can offer you $300, but that is the best that we can do

I am sorry about your experience as the referral program is designed to reward folks for sending us additional customers. I agree with your resolution and will get a check mailed out to you within a few days for the $250. Please realize that this is not indicative of the service... Bell Audi normally provides and I hope you will give us another opportunity for your business in the future. If I can be of any further assistance please feel free to contact me at ###-###-####.

Your listing of what took place is not 100% correct...

and missing detail... listed below is what took place and what repairs we made.In November 2014 [redacted] brought his vehicle to us for the first time with 95418 miles on it.  He stated the check engine light was on and white smoke coming from exhaust and that his power trunk was not working.  We scanned the engine computer and found 12 faults in the system.  There were misfire faults recorded for cylinders 2, 3,5 ,5,6 and 7. Along faults for the right side o2 sensor and left engine mount.  We diagnosed the cause of the misfire in the cylinders to a faulty breather valve. The other faults were sporadic.  We ran the test plan for them, they passed so we cleared them with no repair done. During this visit we also found the air bag light was on and that the front control arm bushings were badly worn needing replacement. Both items are a safety issue so we brought it to [redacted]’s attention. He asked that we present those problems to his warranty company which we did.  They covered the repair to the control arm bushing but not the Air bag light.  Total paid by warranty company was $1815.47 for all covered repairs.[redacted] returned in December with 95572 miles on it now.  The check engine light was on again and vehicle was running rough with lack of power. Scan of the computer revealed faults for misfires in cylinder 3 (right side cylinder head) along with sporadic faults for the right side O2 sensor and left motor mount.  Upon inspection we found coolant leaking into cylinder # 3 causing the misfire.  This can only be caused by a cracked or warped cylinder head, bad head gasket or cracked or warped cylinder block. The only way to determine the exact cause is to disassemble the engine and inspect the possible causes.  Which we did and found the head gasket to be at fault.  We replaced both gaskets.  We also replace the O2 sensor at this time for the fault we were getting which was for the right side front sensor.(vehicle has 4 o2 sensors) Total repairs bill paid by warranty company was 4631.27[redacted] returned in February with 95882 miles on it.  Check engine light was on.  Sporadic Faults for both right side o2 sensors were present.  We ran test plans checked wiring, reset system test drove vehicle 90 miles.  No faults returned.  We returned vehicle to [redacted].  No charge to anyone. In April 2015 vehicle returned now with 98202 miles on it.  There was a humming noise coming from the dash area and loud buzzing noise when operating sunroof.  The humming noise was caused by a faulty valve. and the sunroof needed a new motor.  Repairs were 1095.65 covered by his warranty.  Please note there was no longer a check engine light on or any fault codes. In May 2015 with 99962 miles vehicle returned. The check engine light was on again and he states the navigation screen in dash would get stuck opening and closing.  Again we scanned vehicle and this time there were faults for the left front 02 sensor.  We replaced left front o2 sensor and the navigation screen mounting unit  to address both concerns.  Charges were 1632.29 paid by warranty company. In June 2015 with 100661 miles on it vehicle returned.  Now we have an EPC light on with a lack of power.  Stored faults for motor mounts. We replace both motor mounts.  Charges were 1813.76... And again covered by his warranty.
Which brings us to the current visit with 105,860 miles on it.  It now has a fault for misfires in cylinder #5 (left side cylinder head, misfire in December was with cylinder #3/ right side head) and just like in December when we found coolant in cylinder#3/right side cylinder head we now have coolant in cylinder #5 the left side head. And before the only way to determine the cause is to take it apart and inspect the block/head gasket and head.  Which we did and found a crack in the head at this time. He also has a concern with the keyless entry system not working on the driver’s side. The 2 driver’s side door sensors are not working we would need to replace them both to fix that problem.   The cost to replace just 1 cylinder head is $9416.00 .  The cost to fix the door handles is $1139.55.  We did contact his warranty company and the repairs are covered, the problem is that his contract had a maximum payout amount.  He only has about 900.00 in coverage left on his policy.  Over the last 9 months or so we have addressed multiple issues with this A8 and each time we did a repair to address the fault, that fault with the vehicle did not return.  In addition there is no possible way that the left side cylinder head was cracked in December.  He has put over 10,000 miles on this car since then and the diagnostic logs I have support  that there weren’t any issues with the left side cinder head.  In addition I’m estimating that his policy had approximately 12,000 in coverages.  Of which 11,000 was used to address the multiple issues.  Had we replaced the cylinder head when it didn’t need it.  There wouldn’t have been funds available to do the repair it did need at the time it need it.With that said we would still like to settle this and move on.  We are willing to replace the driver’s side cylinder head for 4,500 and sent this proposal to the attorney that you had contact us the other day.  However this vehicle is 9 year old car with over 105,000.  There is no guarantee that in 2 or 3 months or 6 months down the road something else fails on the vehicle.

We have connected with Mr [redacted] and in the process of getting him into a new vehicle. He is scheduled to pick it up this week.

I am sorry about your experience as the referral program is designed to reward folks for sending us additional customers.  I agree with your resolution and will get a check mailed out to you within a few days for the $250.  Please realize that this is not indicative of the service...

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is somewhat satisfactory to me. Having the jacks is a start.  It appears that Mr. [redacted] has been giving wrong information about the car options altogether which needs to be investigated.  I say this is a start, because I can now lift the car should I need to change a tire, but, there is no spare tire AND no run flats which were told we have.
Regards,
[redacted]

We sell cars "As Is" when they have over 100,000 miles and do offer a warranty for purchase which is optional.
Taxes are not something that is negotiable as it is charged by the individual State and is not something we negotiate in the price.  All our cars are advertised as plus taxes, title...

and dealer fees.
If you didn't like anything about the purchase or disagreed with anything you did not have to go through with the sale.  We don't force people to buy cars and would have gladly cancelled the transaction if you were not satisfied with any part of the sale.
In the interest of settling this we can offer you $300, but that is the best that we can do.

Your vehicle had leaks from the sunroof which ran into your trunk and caused the amplifier to go bad and it would no longer hibernate when the car was off causing a drain on the battery.  The amplifier had to be replaced as well as the sunroof drains or this would continue to happen... a new...

battery alone would not have fixed this problem and it would have happened again.  When [redacted] brought the car here we tested the battery and it passed as still being good so we didn't want to charge you for a new battery that according to the tester did not need to be replaced.  It seems [redacted] may have charged the battery some before they brought the car to us and that may have caused the battery to pass the test.  The cause however was clearly the leak and the damage to the amplifier and that leak was shown to your father-in-law by the advisor and that repair was necessary and approved by the individual who brought us the car. Two weeks later the battery died and this time we did replace it at a greatly reduced price of $207 + tax totaling $221.49.  In the interest of customer satisfaction we will refund you the $221.49 for the battery but the initial repair for the amplifier and sunroof drains was necessary and we will not be refunding that.

We can offer $300 to resolve your issue, but that is all we can do.  If you did not like anything regarding the transcation you did not have to buy the car.
