Butchers was to provide and apply a color retaining spray to fresh mulch they had put down and to do some cleanup work in plant beds last December They said they wanted the money up front since they had to purchase the spray I gave them a checkA BIG MISTAKE! They went for months with excuses and promises, and then started to hide from me At Jim's request I gave them one last chance before filing in Small Claims Court to do the work We agreed on April 14th as the last day to get it done They didn't call or show up, so I filed a claim in Small Claims Court A required mediation attempt was conducted on July 2nd At that time a partial "store credit" was offered Store credit was not acceptable since Butchers had totally breached a contract for a very specific job - 100% of which they failed to provide I could never trust them to do ANYTHING again! The trial was held on Oct29th, and the Court found in my favorA judgement against Butchers was issued to me for the full amount requested, plus court costs I've learned, however, that being able to collect the money is highly doubtful
