Butcher's Best

I went to Butcher's Best to purchase pork shoulder for the purpose of making pulled pork. I asked the clerk for pork shoulder at which point he pointed me to a sealed piece of meat in the display case. When he removed the package I asked a second time if it was pork shoulder, and he indicated that it was. That evening after trimming off about a pound of fat, I discovered that the piece of meat was two separate pieces half of which looked far too lean to be shoulder and completely unfit for the purpose for which I intended to use it. With my hands filthy and the meat in a state beyond which I felt it could be returned, I cut it into chops and put it in the freezer.When I contacted them through their [redacted] page I was told they didn't sell pork shoulder. Which is contrary to what the employee flat out told me. [redacted]. During this conversation I explained to him if he was unsatisfied with the product why didn't you return it for a refund. From the start of the complaint he argued with everything I told him. [redacted]. The product he was looking for is something we have never carried in 13 years but we use a product that does the same job and in our opinion is a better product. We tell every customer what it is as a an alternative, [redacted]). [redacted] This has become a situation that has escalated to this point which should have never gone this far. If he would have just come in to start with it could have been resolved.
