We bought 14 lb fresh turkey for $21. It appeared to have hematomas on the skin and when we cooked it for 3 1/2 hr it came out looking like a sci fo body with all the life sucked out of it. The breast meat was slight and looked like dark meat. Funny tasting. We threw it away but have pictures.

observed what to be plastic and mold inside of turkey sausage.Purchase date 2/8/16 from [redacted] located at [redacted] IL XXXXX Store# XXXXX Op#XXXXXX Te#06 Tr#XXXXX Payment Method Us Debit product upc# XXXXXXXXXXDesired SettlementI would like to be contacted by the business to discuss the issue.Business Response Hello [redacted],We have received your complaint via the Revdex.com. Complaint2 issues and customer service ignored me. 1) I tried to use a $1 coupon, issued by butterball, to buy bacon at [redacted] and the coupon was denied. I spent 30 minutes at the customer service window to be denied. I contacted butterball and through the course of many days and hours responding, I was finally issued a $1 coupon through some service. The service did not work on my computer but I finally got it to print a day later. customer service was very rude with me and not customer oriented. 2) I used the $1 coupon to buy turkey bacon and when I brought it home and opened it, it was spoiled. I took photos and emailed them to butterball on 11/18. I have been ignored. first, they treated me badly for only a $1 coupon, which they told me that they didnt issue (but it had the butterball address on it), and then, they have ignored my second request. I am not a complainer but I expect my problems to be resolved satisfactorily when I bring them up. I am not very happyDesired SettlementRefund for product or coupons that can be used towards purchase of more bacon, that cover the cost of the product. Business Response Hello Miss[redacted],We have received your complaint via the Eastern NC Revdex.com. The original coupon you asked us about, with the purchase of eggs and bacon, was a coupon issued by a store and therefore, is only honored at the store that issued it. Even though this promotion was not ours, as a courtesy and to thank you for your loyalty to our bacon products, we issued you a $1 coupon via email. We provide our consumers with digital coupons for a variety of reasons. E-coupons allow us to minimize coupon counterfeiting risks and provide our consumers with minimal delay for reimbursement. [redacted] is our digital coupon provider, and they have a variety of services to assist consumers in downloading the software to access and print all of their coupons. If you choose not to use the software, you may submit a request to have your digital coupon printed and mailed to your home address. To do this, launch the coupon link from our previous email, and click on the "Print Coupon" button. On the second screen, click on the "Help" link located on the coupons.com website (lower right corner). You will be provided a form to enter your name and mailing address. Please allow a minimum of two weeks for delivery of your coupon. To obtain compensation for your spoiled bacon purchase, and to provide our Quality Team with the needed production codes from the package, we need more information about the product you purchased:- Store name and city where purchased- Purchase date and price- UPC/Barcode- Freeze or Sell by DateThank you again for your interest in our products and promotions. Should allow 7-10 business days to receive.Miss [redacted]Dear Miss[redacted],We have received your communication via Eastern NC Revdex.com dated 12-07-15. Upon further investigation into your experience we learned that the coupon you initially found on the Butterball bacon packages was to save $1.00 off the purchase of eggs when purchasing two packages of Butterball bacon products. This coupon is not intended to be redeemable for the purchase of bacon. We want to apologize for your recent purchase experience of a spoiled product. We appreciate you providing us with the UPC and the Use/Sell by date so that our Quality Assurance Department can investigate further. Please accept our apologies. We hope you will be pleased with your next purchase and are sending you a check for you to use on future Butterball purchases.Sincerely,Butterball Consumer AffairsRef: [redacted]

Purchased product which was clearly questionable, extremely slimy and spoiled, while best use by date claimed to still be good.We purchased a package of turkey bacon from a store we live about 15 mins from. To keep things properly chilled and fresh, we use insulated zip-top thermal bags to get our groceries from the store to our home. Upon opening said bacon to cook, we discovered very slimy meat. It was highly questionable and spoiled. Checking the use by/freeze by date, it claimed the product was still good. No one wants to chance food poisoning however and this meat was definitely not okay. We contacted the company through their website form, but have been giving a major run-around of excuses. They claimed we should have consumed the product and refuse to offer refund/replacement. How they can claim our package was not spoiled is beyond me. Why would you threaten a consumer's well-being by telling them that a majorly slimy package of meat should be eaten without question?! This is extremely inappropriate and sounds like they'd rather someone eat, get sick and then make further excuses, no doubt claiming it to not be their product at blame. They also went so far as to say we allowed the product to get too warm on the way home from the store, which I explained we go above and beyond the ordinary to ensure that does not happen, using insulated bags. Regardless, we were smart enough (and scared enough) to not eat slime bacon.Desired SettlementDue to the blatant run-around and generic excuses, I want 2 replacement coupons for any Butterball products mailed to my PO box address.Business Response Hello Mrs [redacted],We have received your complaint via Revdex.com.When a product has spoiled, there is a noticeable odor along with a change in texture. Because this product has canola oil in it, and was purchased during the summer months, the warmer temperature will cause the oil to become more noticeable when opening. As your original complaint did not include any mention of the odor, and the product was within date code, it was assumed the product was not spoiled and therefore compensation not offered. Spoilage occurs when the product is not kept in the proper temperature-controlled environment throughout the distribution process. We encourage consumers to return spoiled products to the place of purchase for replacement during their next shopping trip, to notify the store of the issue, and can ensure all employees are properly trained on proper food handling procedures. We hope you will be pleased with your next purchase and have enclosed a digital coupon for you to use on your next shopping trip.BEFORE YOU CLICK ON THE COUPON LINK, PLEASE READ BELOW IN ITS ENTIRETY:1) DO NOT USE A MOBILE DEVICE (PHONE/TABLET) OR A SHARED/PUBLIC COMPUTER (SUCH AS IN A PUBLIC LIBRARY) TO LAUNCH THE COUPON. 2) To prevent viral sharing of our coupons, there are security limits in place for viewing and printing our coupons. As I stated when I opened my Revdex.com case, I now am requiring 2 full replacement products due to the additional hassle and runaround. They have provided zero.Final Business Response Our apologies - yesterday's email did not have coupon link in it. Re-sent email to email address: [redacted]@yahoo.com just now. One e-coupon sent as no evidence of spoilage was provided.

Poor taste.I e-mailed their cust. service and my issue was not addressed - so I am reporting it here: I bought one of the little 3 lb. turkey breasts that are wrapped up in an oval-shape for 10.00. Well, upon unwrapping it, a large bag of gravy fell out that was 20% of the weight. Yes, water and fake gravy mix. And the other 80% did not taste right. I feel I had a loss of value. Desired SettlementWhat they think is fair.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted], DirContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email:[redacted]Consumer's email to us:Thank you for having a great Company. It's appreciated. If possible, please note that I just bought a 3 lb. Butterball Turkey Breast frozen product and I carefully compared other turkey items in the store, but did not see that the item I bought also contained a very large bag of gravy; when I opened it, I was surprised at the small amount of meat. Thank you for your time.----------------------------------Butterball's response:Hello Mr [redacted],Thank you for contacting Butterball. Our boneless breast roasts and bone-in breasts, as well as our 'Lil Butterball Turkeys all contain a gravy packet. We include these gravy packets because these products don't always provide enough drippings to make flavorful gravy. The front of the package indicates that a gravy packet is included and gives the net weight of the product. By labeling regulations, the net weight includes everything in the package. We appreciate your interest in our Butterball products.Sincerely,Butterball Consumer AffairsRef: [redacted]----------------------------Consumer's follow-up email:Hello,Thank you for your help in this matter. It's appreciated.I did mention the gravy packet, but my main point for writing is that I didnot like the taste of the product.
