Review: Our "25+ year-guaranteed" roof was installed in 2009 and began leaking in 2011. Their employee who was sent to make the first repair (in 2011) told us the flashing wasn't sealed or caulked and that's why it leaked. It started to leak again (in early 2014) and significant damage resulted to the ceiling, crown molding and walls in one bedroom. After weeks of phone calls to this company, they finally sent someone out for a second repair, but they wouldn't tell us what was done after they became aware of the inside damage. The secretary told me they aren't responsible for inside damage and the Owner "guessed" (over the phone) that the damage resulted from our chimney needing repair. At no time during the initial installation, during the first repair or during the second repair, did anyone tell us that anything was wrong with our chimney or that it needed repair. We have had no work done to the chimney, and the roof hasn't leaked since the second repair. Pictures of the inside damage were e-mailed to this company, but they will not return our e-mails or phone calls.Desired Settlement: Repair to the ceiling, crown molding and walls in the bedroom.

Response:
[redacted]'s property was repaired. However, the damage to [redacted]'s property is not Bux-Mont Roofing's fault. She was told that the damage is caused by a deterioration of the chimney. Bux-Mont went ahead and fixed the chimney for her even though it wasn't apart of the job. The fix is only going to last a limited time though because ultimately, [redacted] needs to have the chimney replaced. Our contracts clearly state that we are not responsible for any interior/exterior damage before, during or after the work is completed.

Review: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because the company's own employee told us that the flashing was installed improperly and that's why we were getting water inside.
The Revdex.com was my first attempt at a resolution with this company, but if it can't be resolved amicably, I will pursue other avenues.
Thank you.
Review: In October, 12 Bux-mont Roofing Contractors came to my house to put on a new shingle roof and to coat three other roofs. They originally stated that the price would be $5,000 to get the job. After they tore up the roof, the price went from $5,000 to $7,000. When Bux-mont originally came out, he gave me one contract and when they tore up the roof, he took back the old contract and gave me a new contract for $7,000. On 10/23/12, I paid $5,200 and on 11/7/12, $900 for gutters ([redacted], which is a part of Bux-mont. I was very upset about the additional money and decided to wait a little while prior to paying the balance. In the meantime, Bux-mont put me in a collection agency for $900. I told them that I would pay the balance but did not pay it immediately because of the dishonesty shown to me. The company put the $900 bill in collections, and of course, I was shocked and had intended on paying it and did pay $900 in December.
Prior to Bux-mont fixing my roof, I had no leaks and as of January 20, 2014, I have five leaks and two ceilings that are caving in, a damaged carpet, one wall that need to be repaired along with a damaged window from the water damage. On 01/28/14, Bux-mont stated that contract is null and void because they put me in a collection agency. This company should have some responsibility because of all of the damage done as a result of their negligence. I am a senior and am on a fixed income. Imagine, paying someone $7,000 to cause water damage, roofing damage and other damages mentioned. We can get damage free; there is no need for a senior to pay $7,000 for a natural disaster.Desired Settlement: I want them to come out and repair the roof damage and I will take care of the inside repairs.

[redacted] spoke to **. [redacted] on January 28th, 2014. He explained that when the snow melts and the weather clears up some, he will be out to correct any roof repair damage that she may have. **. [redacted] understood.
