Buy Me A Car International Reviews (%countItem)

I entered a Consulting Agreement with Brian O'D. of Buy Me A Car USA /9/28/19.I met O at a St. Petersburg Fl Networking group." He is a slick Car Salesman with a promise to find a vehicle in "as long as it takes" claim. I provided the necessary criteria for a new or certified truck I wanted. After 7-8 days, O gave me the option of 2-3 vehicles none of which matched my criteria. He then suggested I take out a Home Equity Loan to have greater purchasing power. More slick car guy stuff. Being quickly discouraged, I let Mr. O'. I wanted to discontinue his service. We also did not have a complete contract agreement. My wife did sign or agree to the terms and her name was on the Agreement. The Fee was $799.00 to provide a satisfactory truck that matched my criteria, this did not happen. I gave O . an extensive spread sheet with many suitable trucks for him to negotiate a "Great Deal" His response several day later was he does not work off client recommendations. I offer to pay $300 for his minimal time spent only to never hear from him again. Mr. O'D. is a dual citizen and spends much of his time in Canada in the same business. I am sure the lack of an executed contract ,a judgement would be in my favor. However, Mr O'D. does not own property in Florida and there would be nothing to lien in a favorable small claims suit. My gut feeling from the beginning was, this was not a good idea. I was right, I went out and found the perfect Certified Used truck from ***. They incidentally , had never heard of Buy Me A Car were skeptical of his worthiness.
Product_Or_Service: Consulting Service

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like a full refund - Although I would accept $499 a reduction for compensation of the minimal work that was done. That is very generous on my part. Mr. O'Donnell did not perform and did not have a complete contract of ALL Parties. He stopped all conversation and refused to respond to text, phone or email .

Buy Me A Car International Response • Feb 27, 2020

Hello ***
I met *** and *** at a networking meeting which they were guests. They heard from several of the members how Buymeacar corporation helped them get their vehicles. A few years later they contacted me saying they wanted me to get *** a truck. To accommodate an appointment was made for Saturday September 28th 10am. At 10:05 I'm calling ***'s phone getting voicemail. After no response at 10:30 I call *** and says *** is asleep and did not say anything to her about *** meeting me. She said she would wake him and could I meet him in Seminole closer to Madeira Beach where they live than originally planned. I agreed and we met at 11:30.
In our meeting I explained again how Buymeacar works and had John watch 2 client video testimonials.
Complaint.
Taking as long as it takes:
It was repeatedly explained that there is no time frame for these reasons.
Depending upon if the right truck is in a dealerships inventory.
With new it can be usually secured with in a few days unless not available in Florida or has to be factory ordered.
Used trucks - there is no used car factory to have one built. The truck must be in a dealerships used vehicle inventory.
With used vehicles I must review the documentation and importantly the Service Inspection reports to know the truck was not wrecked and remade in a body shop with a frame straightening machine.
He said he was interested in both new and used with preference on new due to lower interest rate financing.
I said he would be given information on both.

What happens if he decided not to go through with purchasing a vehicle:
I specifically said I do the work you get the right truck. The deposit is non-refundable. Said just like the networkers and client's in the videos you will get your truck.
Offered to meet with Cindy this way I can answer any questions. He called her said it was not necessary to speak with her. Again, asked if any questions and did he want to proceed? He read the agreement and signed. Told me he did not have payment but could give me a check if I followed him home. I followed him to Madeira Beach. Asked if *** was there and would he like for us all to meet? Said no and did not want to disturb her.

Offering him 2-3 vehicles.
It was clearly understood-explained that new trucks matching his profile would be searched in the Tampa Bay area.

Used trucks were also searched and nothing matching his exact requirements was available at the time.

List he provided:
The list was made up of used car dealers.
A couple of new car dealerships on the other coast of Florida which were not the requested model truck.

Financing and why Home equity line of credit mentioned.
To assist client's with financing a credit analysis of their Equifax report is done to secure accurate rates and terms. *** refused to provide and said credit was excellent.
Suggestion was as a property investor if he did not want conventional vehicle financing terms take a line of credit against equity in property which would allow longer term with lower payments; also, would not be a vehicle loan showing in credit bureaus.

Research was done on Ford, GMC, Ram trucks.
Used trucks were searched and no match before *** cancelled the agreement demanding a refund. I offered to continue and get his truck. He refused. What I have received are endless emails debating my fee and service along with threats in text from *** to defame my business. The ***'s were informed these communications were unacceptable and my attorney is aware of all communications. Buymeacar was established June X XXXX and serving clients across North America with many client's sharing their experiences on video which are on the website, Facebook and You Tube. I will make an appointment to show these emails and texts if needed.
Your assistance is appreciated.
Thank you ***
Brian.

Customer Response • Feb 27, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The statement, it takes as long as it take doesn't work well for anyone when he only sends 3-4 vehicles a week. This could take forever and that was not the intent. We did purchase a vehicle on our own. We have a right and responsibility to voice our experiences with ***'s misleading promises and practices. The contract was made out in the names of *** and ***. *** never signed or agreed to terms. It took 4 requests to get *** to send a copy of the complete agreement. He was rude and unreasonable. *** would not work with *** or my request to investigate specific used vehicles of interest. *** explained that he could not work with the types of vehicles we wanted since they were not in his program or network of people he worked with. That too was not explained when he met with *** that we could not look at certain vehicles. *** "worked" (if you call sending 4 vehicles for ONLY 1 week via email work) with bad results. The vehicles he sent were not what was described on ***'s profile for a vehicle. ***'s brochure is very misleading and that is what *** used to engage his services. The brochure showed savings of average of $6000 or more as examples. It wasn't until the first disapproval of 4 wrong type of vehicles that were sent did *** revise his statement of savings coming clean stating that he could only guarantee us to save as much as we paid him ($800) if we bought through specific programs. likes to throw the word attorney into any communication as means of intimidation. I believe a Judge would easily be able see through the bad intent. We want the public to know about his bad practices and rude customer service with intimidation as his defense. We offer *** to refund us a proportionate amount and to go our separate ways. I don't know how he feels he deserves a penny. We also would be happy to meet and share emails and texts.

The second response from *** is the same as the first. He likes to repeat himself over and over. I have addressed these accusations in my first response. It is interesting how he insinuates his wife is not aware. As stated before everything was explained to him verbally, he called his wife, reread the agreement, signed it. I went to his house and waited outside while he went into his wife and brought me out a signed check. Stated all was good and please get him his truck. My attorney Mr. Tim Harvey makes a good point. Why did *** speak with his
wife by phone, sign the agreement, have me follow him to his home go in and bring me out a signed check if she was not aware? Very strange behavior for one in commercial real estate who deals in contracts.
Signing the agreement and providing a signed check -payment in his name is a consummated binding transaction. He has looked into filing a legal small claims case but has discovered he can't. Complaining to the Revdex.com is his only resort to pressure me into refunding his money.
I have several emails where he debates the fee and complains along with threatening text from his wife. As indicated in our previous communication and phone call I'll be happy to meet with you and share these communications if necessary. He cancelled the agreement, went outside me and bought a truck. There is nothing to discuss with him
