Review: I purchased a 2003 Ford Explorer from Buy Right on 8-20-2013. The car was sold to me by [redacted] - General Manager 201-330-2100 [redacted] assured me that the "car was perfect" and that "it had been gone over and checked throughly". On a test drive I discovered the O/D (overdrive light) blinked continously, and that the "Check Engine Soon" light was on. [redacted] told me that the car had "just been serviced" and to "give it a couple of days" and the Check Engine light would go off. He said the O/D light was "just a minor sensor problem" and to drive the car for a few days and if it didn't go off to bring it in and he would repair it. I bought the car and paid cash in full. Drove it two days, several lights on the car did not work, and the right rear and front turn signals did not work. The Check Engine light did not go off, and the O/D light remained blinking. I found out that the blinking O/D light was a known issue with this vehicle and it indicated a transmission problem. This is certainly something Buy Right and [redacted] must have known. I took the car back and and several light bulbs were replaced, and I asked what they were going to do about the O/D Light and the Check Engine light. I was told to bring the car back in a few days and leave it and they would fix it. The first time I left it one day, not fixed, then left it three days, not fixed. I was told it was "a complicated problem to fix" and "they had to get parts". I was asked to bring it back when I could leave it four to five days. On Monday morning, I dropped the car off. I came to pick it up on Friday, four and a half days later, the check engine light was off, O/D still flashing. I asked them AGAIN what they were going to do about the O/D light and the transmission issue. Drove the car two days and the Check Engine light came back on I had bought a 90 day warranty on the car and was told tthat it was "effective immediately at purchase"Desired Settlement: They had me take the car to a transmission shop in Plaisades Park NJ on Monday 10-14-2013 and was assured that I would have it back by Friday 10-18-2013. I have since been told by CARS Protection Plus that they were not going to cover the repair "because it happened before the warranty was in effect". The car is currently at the transmission place in Palidsades Park. and they are refusing to repair it until they get assurance from Buy Right or CARS Protection Plus that they are going to be paid for the repair. I spoke to the Ravi at the transmission shop this morning and no work has been done on the car, but promised he would "get the warranty issue resolved" and take it to his shop in Queens and have it back "next week" THIS HAS BEEN A FREAKING NIGHTMARE. I am driving it with an expired inspection sticker because they haven't fixed it and I can get it inspected. Last time I left it with them someone put 66 miles on it and used nearly half a tank of gas. I want the car fixed. NOW.

Review: I first bought a BMW from them. It had minor issues initially so I decided to trade it in for an Acura TL after about a month. When I purchased it, it came with a 3 month warranty. The car immediately had a problem with the engine, the radio, brakes and windshield wipers. I was told that they couldn't do anything about it until I received my CARS Warranty. After a month, I called and was told the same thing even after explaining that I have not received the warranty. After 3 months of having the car, I called and told them again that I never received the warranty and that my car is getting worse. That Saturday, I had my boyfriend bring them the car as I told them that I would. When he got there, they kept giving him the run around and said I had to pay for it because my warranty expired. Also, told that in order to fix it, I would have to leave it there for god knows how long. I have no other means of transportation and live too far away for them to keep my car for days on end. They have made no effort to try and help me. When I got my car back, it was actually driving worse and all they kept telling me was to wait or the mechanics out or to call the next day and all these excuses. I brought the car to a seperate mechanic and was told that my coils were disconnected and that I could've blown my engine. He even told me that the company probably did that so they can charge me more to fix it! This is not fair. I initially had no issues with the company and even sent three friends there to purchase vehicles. Two of them actually did. I don't like the treatment I received. Its not my fault I was sold a car that wasn't in Good Condition. I was not expecting it to be perfect but I should NOT have to pay for damages I did not do to the car.Desired Settlement: I just want my car fixed and I should not have to pay for it. I already had to pay a seperate mechanic to fix my coils.

Wow I'm So stunned with all that Miss [redacted] is complaining. please came and see me [redacted] and the General Manager. if you are having problems with the coils and brake we definably will address those issues. I'm so sorry that you feel that you were giving the run around. We offer a warranty to all our customer. and we service the cars before the customer take the car. I wasn't aware of the fact that you weren't service your car properly. Brakes and wipers motor should been address before you drive the car away that is a safety issue with regard the radio you were aware that it was defected because, I told you, and your husband [redacted]. If a fail items broke while you under warranty please understand that is the term and condition of all warranty's, the customer pay $100.00 dollars deductible. that is standard procedure in the warranty business. You know that I have work with you in the past and even including when you did not have all the down payment money. You know that I will work with you. I even hire your husband to do a carpenter job. We been here over 25 years and definly welcome your business This is the demon that one have to deal with cars that have 174000 mile one always will have wear and tear issues but the most important thing is that Im here with a full service Dept. to address in what ever case might be.
