Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: The problem that I have with the response is that Buy Rite (Joe) is assuming that the car was being run without oil. The car has not been driven since the end of November because of a drastic oil leak and with Xmas in the making at that time we just parked the car. After the holidays we decided to check into what was wrong with the oil leak. We were told to put stop leak in which we did in addition to a quart of oil. It was driven to the mechanic and on the way the rod was broken. This was a very shady deal from the beginning and I am very, very surprised at the way they are handling this. My sons complaint is that he never even drove this car as he was supposed to get another car. This was was put into Buy Rite's shop several times for the check engine light which was never corrected. They were also asked to check the oil leak (and I have the paperwork for that) within the first month of delivery of the vehicle and then months later a massive oil leak - something is wrong. This car was never checked over before selling as it should have been. Nobody was expecting a new car but at least a decent car which this was not. I have been a very good customer to Buy Rite, purchasing two cars from them - what a way to treat your customers. I do not have a signed contract saying that it was brought as it - if you do maybe I did not sign it. Please forward signed paperwork for signature check. Thanks.Regards,*** ***

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Sir/Madam,Yes in fact I did pick up this vehicle on 04/27/2015 from Buy Rite Cars, Inc. in Sewell, New Jersey and I had someone who brought me down there to pick it up and was there with me and eye witnessed and heard everything. Yes, the car was purchased "As-Is" however I only went through the entire process of purchasing the vehicle as the dealership offered a 3 months/4,500 miles warranty through a company called [redacted] who warranties the engine, transmission and drive-axles on the vehicle. Again I only completed the purchase due to the warranty being on the vehicle as the vehicle is a 1996 model year and is 19 years of age. If the dealership did not offer this warranty, I simply would have walked away and not I painfully regret that I didn't walk away when I had the chance.A day after my temporary license plate was expired I finally received the license plates for the vehicle and after clearly looking at the registration the plate numbers and letters were correct however the color description on the registration is "GREEN" and not "RED" like the car I had purchased. Something did not add up for sure and I contacted the dealership and I was informed to bring the car to the place where they have there car painted and they will take care of it, again another situation I did not feel comfortable with at all as something was simply not right here. I was also concerned as I was driving a vehicle that is "RED" in color and if I was pulled over by a police officer and was asked for my drivers license, insurance and registration shows a "GREEN" color on the registration and the car is "RED" and I was asked about it, what was I going to tell the officer, "Oh, I bought it that way from a dealership down in Sewell,, New Jersey...?". Again, something not right and totally unprofessional to the letter and definition of the word.Less than a week after I had the car I went to the car wash and when I came out of the car wash to wipe the car down I discovered there was pieces of the paint actually falling off the body of the car and I was in complete amazement as I had never seen anything like this. I brought the car by a local car body shop and had the Gentleman take a look at it for me and clearly informed me that the vehicle was recently painted and was performed incorrectly and was not performed by a professional auto paint shop.I experienced a breakdown with this vehicle within a months time frame and had to have this defective vehicle towed by flatbed, as a Corvette can't be towed with a conventional tow truck and I had to have my insurance company roadside assistance do this for me and they had to take it to an authorized service center in the area for service and repair. The head mechanic at the [redacted] repair facility had indicated to me the reason the car had broken down as the heads on the motor had to be replaced. Since I had this so called, and not worth the paper it is printed on [redacted] warranty and no wonder this dealership provides it for free, I contacted them via telephone and explained the situation to them and I was told I had to have the service center contact them in order to open a claim. For the last 2 weeks all that has been going on is the service center keeps telling the warranty company what the problems are with the engine that are all covered by this warranty and the warranty company keeps coming back with every story, excuse and time delay to give the service center an authorization number to being the work and repairs on my car. The [redacted] service center informed me I am wasting my time trying to get them to pay for any repairs as this warranty company has a bad reputation of not paying any claims on any vehicles. Again I have repeated attempts to contact the dealership regarding this matter and the only response I have been receiving is to contact the [redacted] warranty company and this dealership does not want to take their legal responsibility here to a customer who purchased a vehicle from them. I had also asked repeatedly to provide me the name and landline number of the owners of this dealership and they never provided this to me which clearly indicated something is not right here at all.Since I have contacted the New Jersey State Attorney Generals office and filed a complaint. I also filed a complaint the Revdex.com (Revdex.com). I have also contacted both the New Jersey Department of Transportation and the US DOT to investigate the VIN (Vehicle identification number) as after an extremely skilled mechanic looked closely at this vehicle is appears this vehicle was involved in a flood. I am also having the [redacted] report fully investigated as well that this dealership provided as if this vehicle was involved in a flood and it was not disclosed on the [redacted] report or the [redacted] report was tampered with, then open other legal doors for sure. I have discussed and retained private legal counsel on this matter and has fully advised me of all my rights as a consumer and their are laws, statutes and regulations to protect me and other consumers like myself who experience the same kinds of problems and issues of this nature. My position and circumstances this at the moment are : I have a vehicle that I purchased from this Buy Rite Cars, Inc. in Sewell, New Jersey and the vehicle has been in a [redacted] service center and is needing about $2,500.00 worth of repairs in order to get the car back on the road again. The dealership will not assume any responsibility or this [redacted] company as well. I had taken a auto loan on this vehicle with a term of 4 months and I have contacted the bank and explained everything in full complete detail to them and I indicated to them I will not make my first payment on a vehicle I just purchased less than a month ago and financed through them until this vehicle is fully repaired either by the dealership or the [redacted] company and they fully understand my situation and they will be contacting the dealership directly to inquire what they are going to do about this. I have also contacted my insurance company as well and informed them of the situation and if this car is not fully repaired by the end of the month of June 2015 I will be canceling the policy, as I am no longer go to pay auto insurance payments on a vehicle I can't drive. Also I have contacted a flatbed tow truck service to schedule them to come pick up the car by the last day of the month and transport this defective vehicle back to Buy Rite Auto Inc. in Sewell, New Jersey and drop it off in their parking lot and then they can have their car back and they can deal with the problem and also the full billing and costs of the transportation of this vehicle back to them will be their financial burden and not mine.I can tell from the response from the dealership in whom ever composed it lacks professionalism as there are multiple grammatical errors, spelling errors as well and clearly indicates what type of dealership I am dealing with in reality. I had noticed also in the response from the dealership and I quote, "When a is running hot you must turn the car off and not keep driving the car", that is a direct insult to my intelligence for sure as anyone would know of this. In closing I must add this when I purchased the vehicle there was a down payment of $1000.00 (One thousand U.S. Dollars) and I paid $700.00 on my debit card and when I picked up the car I gave them a personal check in the amount of $300.00 and I was not aware my account had been closed the day before due to my bank account being compromised to identity theft and the banks policy is whenever this is detected they close the customers account immediately t stop and further action. I was unaware of this happening the day I gave my personal check to the dealership. I also possess a copy of my deposit slip 5 days earlier prior to me issuing a check to insure there were indeed funds there to cover the check. The dealership had informed me of the returned check I purchased a U.S. Money order in the amount of $300.00 to cover the check and sent it via U.S. mail to the dealership, however the dealership has claimed they never received it. As far as I am concerned I owe this dealership Buy Rite Auto Inc. dealership nothing at all and they are the ones that owe me to pay in full for the repairs on this defective vehicle they knowingly sold me. I attempted many times to resolve this with them by email communications and this is their email address [redacted] however it appears they do not want to assist in resolving this amicably so I have no other option, choice or alternatives but to commence litigation against them and the [redacted] Warranty company as well and there phone number is 888-[redacted] and the claims person "Dan" and his extension is [redacted]. The [redacted] repair center head mechanic named Wayne with 44 years of automotive repair experience can be reached at [redacted] and I am providing all of this contact information so if anything needs to be verified you can contact them directly should you have any inquiries. Also during the conversations between the dealership and the [redacted] head mechanic the dealership had the nerve, gall, audacity and complete unprofessionalism to discuss this check issue with the mechanic again indicating what type of dealership I am really dealing with in reality. This dealership keeps claiming there is nothing they can do or will assist me in this matter to have my car fully repaired and paid for at there expense, however if I have to spend every last nickel, dime and quarter on legal remedies I will prevail in whatever court this matter will end up in eventually. I was born at night...but not last night.I appreciate all your professional time and assistance to all the individuals at the Revdex.com attempting to help and assist me with this pending open matter.
Regards and thank you,

I want you to keep thinking and anticipating there is nothing you can do, however I have taken the appropriate measures to protect myself by hiring my Attorney, Filing complaints with the State of New Jersey Attorney General's office, The Revdex.com, The New Jersey Division of Consumer Fraud and other legal entities who are investigating this matter and will be knocking on your door at Buy Rite Cars, Inc. in Sewell, New Jersey to launch a complete and thorough investigation into this matter.I have a vehicle in which I purchased from your dealership and I regret I ever stepped foot in your place and conducted any business with your dealership, as now I have a broken down vehicle in which has been determined has a bad motor and need over $2,800.00 in repairs and you think you are just going to get away with this and keep saying there is nothing you can do, well you can tell that to the Judge and jury when this matter goes to Superior Court in the State of New Jersey. You are running a shady operation there with complete unprofessionalism to the letter and if you were any kind of a dealership you would assist the customer who purchased a vehicle from you and was in warranty within the time frames on the warranty, however you keep claiming there is nothing you can do. Regarding the $300.00 you keep crying and whining about, when I knew of this I purchased a United States postal money order in the amount of $300.00 and placed it in the U.S. mail to you and I have the receipt for the money order and I will produce it in Court when this matter gets there, as that is where this matter is eventually is going to wind up as you keep saying, "There is nothing you can do". Your dealership has no even had the common decency to try to contact me by phone and at least offer to pay for half of this. What about the paint on the car that keeps falling off and you indicated via email  "Take it to our place where we paint our cars" and it will be free of charge to you. More lies on top of more lies...! I have all the emails and all the communications between your dealership and me with this whole transaction from start to finish and they will be used as an exhibit in evidence in Court.Again, I have asked multiple times for the name(s) of the owner of your dealership with a working phone number, however you still have failed to provide it and that indicates one thing to me...think real hard about it for a moment. Enough said. Go sell some more defective card and screw more people.

Review: Purchased a 2000 [redacted] from said dealership. From the very beginning there was problems with the car. The original car picked out was changed for this car due to excessive oil leakage. This car also had the same problems and more. The first month the car was in the shop at least 4 days a week, so much so that I asked the dealer to delay the first payment which he agreed. The check engine light was on and never went out though several attempts. The car was leaking oil from the beginning which the mechanic was asked to check. Apparently he did not correct the problem and it eventually ended up needing an engine. This car was purchased for $4,000 and 4 months later it needs an engine. This car was not thoroughly looked at before selling and the dealer knew that because we were given a 90 day warranty on an "As Is" purchase. We replaced the alternator twice and a the battery out of our own pocket. I've asked the finance manager to assist and he said that he would not.Desired Settlement: I have asked if we could exchange the car for another car that runs and I was told "No". I think this was reasonable and we will continue to pay for the car as is. If not, some assistance in repairing the car, maybe an extended warranty. SOMETHING!!! We are still paying for a vehicle that has not run since December. I have brought two other vehicles from this dealership and have a good relationship with them (so I thought) but I am very, very disappointed with this deal.

Review: I purchased a used 1996 vehicle from this dealership about 1 month ago and it came with a 3 month 4500 miles warranty on the engine, transmission and drive axle assemblies. I broke down last week as the car overheated and screeched to a ceasing halt where I just got the car off to the side of the road. I had no choice but to call me insurance company to have the car towed to one of the service centers in my area. I was informed after speaking with the head mechanic there that the vehicle needs major work such as the engine heads need to be replaced and other major parts as well and the estimated cost is $3000.00. I am not in the financial position to pay for these repairs. The car only has 71,000 original miles on it and I purchased it about a month ago. I have contacted the warranty company [redacted] multiple times and they refused to pay for anything. I also have contacted the dealer in whom I purchased the vehicle from and they also have refused to pay for any of these repairs from this vehicle I have purchased from them as well. I have spoken to my Attorney on this matter and he is filing complaints with the consumer affairs in New Jersey and also filing complaints with the New Jersey Attorney General's office as well. I financed this vehicle and I have contacted the bank and I informed them I refuse to make any payments on a vehicle in which I can't drive and is broken down and it stranded at a [redacted] service center. I also have contacted my car insurance company as well to drop this vehicle from my policy as again it is broken down and I can't drive this vehicle. I know I have rights and there are laws in the State of New Jersey to protect and help and assist me to get this matter corrected. I believe and my intuition tells me I was taken to the cleaners by purchasing this vehicle from this dealer and it is their full responsibility to pay for all of these repairs on this vehicle in which I purchased this vehicle only 4 weeks ago. I do not believe the [redacted] is accurate.Desired Settlement: That this dealership who sold me this defective vehicle is to pay for all repairs directly to the auto repair center immediately and my vehicle is running and road ready and able to be driven like it was when I purchased it only 4 weeks ago. I am not seeking any other damages, however if this dealer does not pay for all of the repairs and pay them directly I will have no choice or alternative to commence a full lawsuit against them without hesitation.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

To whoever is responding to this complaint from Buy Rite Cars, Inc. in Sewell, New Jersey as it seems in every communication no one wants to identify themselves for some reason. You keep stating that the vehicle was sold "As Is" however you provided a warranty that is not the paper it is written on through [redacted], located in [redacted], and you keep stating there is nothing you can do. Don't bother responding to this messages anymore as I will see you in court in the next month or so. In closing I will prevail in Superior Court on this matter and your dealership will pay for all the repairs on this vehicle that is under warranty, plus the lawsuit I have filed against your dealership as well. Enough said. Go sell some more defective card and screw more people.

Regards,

Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: The problem that I have with the response is that Buy Rite (Joe) is assuming that the car was being run without oil. They were also asked to check the oil leak (and I have the paperwork for that) within the first month of delivery of the vehicle and then 2 months later a massive oil leak - something is wrong. Thanks.Regards,[redacted]
