We were very busy the night this gentleman and his family showed up. We had a banquet of 40 and 3 other large parties. One party had...

not shown up yet so it would've seemed to guests coming in that we had a lot of open tables. We did not have any available tables except for one that our new hostess was not aware of (we had pulled tables and chairs from that section to move into the bar area). The manager on duty stated she was not given the chance to explain to this gentleman what had happened. He stated he would never return and left with his family. He then returned after a few minutes. The manager told him about the mistake our hostess made and offered to seat them in the one open table. He said it was too late and his mother was [redacted]" and they would never come back.
At no point during this time did anyone in our establishment discriminate against this family...specifically his mother. We pride ourselves on how we treat our guests and accommodate the handicap, disabled veterans, guests with service animals, etc. One of our owners is also handicapped. If anything, we go out of our way to accommodate. If this gentleman had given us the chance to make it right, at that time, we would've done so.
The gentleman had also written a review on [redacted] and we responded the same day. Our response was as follows:
"We're very sorry you feel this way and feel as if you all were discriminated against. We have never discriminated the handicap (one of the owners is handicap) and never will! Starting at 5:30 last night, we were actually packed. We had several larger parties as well as a banquet of 40. If they weren't able to get you the table you needed, it was because they didn't have them or they were set up for one of the large parties. If you could give us the name of the manager you spoke with, we would be happy to speak with them about the incident and take whatever action necessary. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We value all our reviews...good or bad!"
Please forward our apologies on to this customer and let them know if they do decide to return, we would be happy to buy his mother's meal and discount his and his fathers.
