Response to [redacted]: Service Issues at Revdex.com BWB Contracting was hired for a bathroom renovation which started on 6/14/16 with a signed contract that is dated 5/27/16. The project has taken three months due to customer’s indecision's, a 2-week delay in cabinet order from [redacted] that was ordered...

by the customer and taking two one week vacations in the middle of the job which stopped work. That is more then four weeks of delays that BWB Contracting cannot control and were caused by the customer. Work on the bathroom began on 6/14/16 and the customer took their first vacation a week later knowing the project was going to be underway. All of the sub-contractors were scheduled for that week they were away, but I was never informed that they would be leaving and I would not be able to access the house. When the customers returned we then found out that the plumbing fixtures were not on site and were going to take an additional 3 days to get. After a favor to me the sub-contractors reorganized their schedules to accommodate this loss of time. At this time, I informed that customer that as my contract stated ALL owner supplied fixtures and materials must be on site at the start of the job. After this incident, the customers continued to turn workers away from their job. They also hadn’t made any decisions as a couple on the shower layout/design knowing we would be there to do the work. When we showed up to do the work the customers were arguing about the design to the point that it made it uncomfortable to work there. Workers turned away from job for: -tile flooring (owner decided they didn’t like the tile they picked out) -tile grouting/boarder -cabinetry was ordered wrong from [redacted] -soffit installation (extra work that was not a part of the original contract) Most recently on Friday 9/9/16 I called and spoke with the customer to continue the scope of work on that upcoming Monday 9/12/16 just to make sure all final decisions were made because I didn’t want to be turned away yet again and low and behold we showed up on Monday only to be turned away for the last time due to indecision. Every time we are turned away from a day at the job it costs time and money which is not accounted for. After Monday I received phone calls and an email from the customer, I responded to the email on 9/20/16 stating that I was willing to finish the scope of work even after ALL of this only to find out they have now submitted a complaint to try and slander my company. Timeline: Friday 9/9 -conversation had with customer on final plans to be finished on Monday 9/12 Monday 9/12 -showed up at job site to be turned away Wednesday 9/14 -BWB Contracting received email from customer stating we need to be back to the job by 9/21 or a complaint will be filed Friday 9/16 -Customer filed a complaint a with Revdex.com Tuesday 9/20 -response from BWB Contracting willing to work out issues Thursday 9/22 -BWB Contracting received a letter from Revdex.com with the complaint BWB Contracting went above and beyond for this customer as they do for all their customers. We did additional work above and beyond the contract ie) floors in the house were not level, exposed brick chimney, added lighting, added sub flooring, additional demolition, ordered specific siding material and added an extra niche in the shower. The customer also made their own payment schedule that differed from the original contract and also did not make payments on time, however BWB Contracting continued working. There is currently work not completed on this bathroom job because I can no longer continue to be walked all over and cost money that I simply am losing, not making and don’t have. Had the customer had made decisions in a timely manner knowing when we were showing up to the job it would have already been completed. My hesitation in moving forward is that if I complete the work I will not get paid. Especially since they have now filed a complaint. You may ask yourself: How much can someone take? BWB Contracting has been in business for over 12 years on word of mouth basis and has NEVER had a complaint from a customer and we have NEVER not finished a job. Every time BWB Contracting was on the bathroom job site things were done in an efficient manner. There is over $4000 owed to BWB Contracting and very little work left to be done. *If any emails,invoices, payments or other documents are needed please feel free to email or call me directly so I can provide them for you

As I stated previously, my company has never failed to complete a job for any customers and has never had a complaint on the quality of work. I pride my company on our level of communication with the customers. My first response stated many of the reasons that this job has taken as long as it has. So, let me direct some statements to this follow-up complaint. 1)The project did take much longer than originally contracted primarily because of additional time for demo, as well as the materials, vacations, and indecision's…all the responsibilities of the customer. 2)The vanity cabinet error, made by the sales person, which was the responsibility of the customer. 3)The tile floor material was purchased by and was the responsibility of the customer. 4)The recessing of the mosaic accent tile is the way my installer does the job in order to highlight the tile and enhance its look. This is primarily due to different thickness in different materials. Professionals have been doing it this way for many years. The customer then informed me that he got an opinion on the tile from someone in the business only for them to say the job was done correctly. 5)There was no lack of communication as this job was underway. Each email, text and phone call was responded to immediately. As a business owner I texted with the customer answering questions every day. Proof of text and phone records can be compiled if necessary. The customer had chosen in the final paragraph of her letter on 9/30/16, that she no longer wishes my company to finish the work. As to the completion of the work, the amount of money owed to my company is more than double the amount to hire someone to complete the job. The end result is that the customer will end up with their desired bathroom for less than they would have paid my company and they already have stated they have no trouble with the quality of the work we did complete. Per her email on 9/12/16 “I know Bryan (husband) can be particular and picky and I apologize but I will handle that on my end, I need this job to move forward with or without the soffit and be completed asap. I have been happy with the work thus far” How does this warrant a negative write up for BWB Contracting on the Revdex.com website? My company and subcontractors on the other hand will have made no profit and will in fact take a financial loss on this project. It is sad that I find myself in this situation because of all my work is obtained by word of mouth and do not publicly advertise. It would be extremely unfair of the Revdex.com to post this complaint against BWB Contracting. I personally am not happy about the outcome of this contract and wish that we could have negotiated a settlement with this customer.
