Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint
Attached is the Sales Agreement and Warranty information from when I purchased the vehicle. Clearly, the dealership is being deceptive when they told you I purchased the truck “As-is.” All I want is for the minor repairs to be fixed suitably. If you all can’t find a resolution, I will proceed with a media outlet as I would never want other customers to be treated the way I have beenAs I mentioned before, I am a ** *** employee and therefore my internet access is limited. I would like a phone call regarding this matter as soon as possibleI have included my wife, *** in this response. Thanks *** *** ***
Regards,

That is not accurateI clearly stated all the facts before my offer was madeThey then accepted the offerI never once refused to pay the correct amount of tax; I stated all the facts clearly to the sales rep, he haf all the information in front of himThey accepted my offer then refused to honor it because of a mistake, THEY madeI have a 3rd party witness who was with me which can attest to all of this in its entirety. Regards,

On August 6, Mr*** came to Tommie Vaughn Ford to possibly purchase a *** ***. He was g***ted by Thad F* who is one of Tommie Vaughn Ford’s Senior Sales Consultants. Mr*** found a *** that he was interested in. MrF* then demonstrated the *** to Mr
*** with a test drive and explain the featuresWhen they came back into the showroom, Mr*** then decided he would like to move forward with the purchase. Mr*** informed MrF* that he had a *** *** *** he wanted to trade in. MrF* took it to get appraised, got a value for the *** *** ***, and presented numbers to Mr*** using Mr***’s amount for a payoffThe numbers that MrF* presented were unacceptable to Mr*** so he made Tommie Vaughn Ford a final offer with his signature. Mr***’s offer was $68,including tax, title, license, a F* spray in bedliner, trading in and paying off his *** *** ***. MrF* then accepted Mr***’s offer and begun the paperwork process. MrF* then called the lien holder which is *** *** to get an accurate payoff when he then discovered that Mr***’s *** *** *** was a leased vehicle rather than a retail purchased vehicle which would make the sales tax credit different. Mr*** would not receive a tax credit by trading in a leased vehicle. MrF* then informed Mr*** that the computed sales tax on the *** *** was incorrect due to the new information given to us by *** ***. MrF* informed M r*** that we would honor the sales price, trade in amount and free spray in bedliner but could not adjust state sales tax. Mr*** then became angry and walked out the front door then turned around and came back in to get his credit application that he had filled out with MrF* which was given back to Mr*** with no questions being Mr***’s credit was never pulled. There were no documents signed by any representative from Tommie Vaughn Ford

The customer purchased a "USED" truck with just under 13K miles. If he wanted new tires on his truck he should have bought a "NEW" truck. We have gone above and beyond for this customer after he purchased the truck at no cost to him. If you will see the attached Repair
Orders. We cut and programmed an new key, we replaced two tires, we replaced a wheel cap, we rotated the tires so the four rear tires were even and also did an alignment. We also put two new batteries in his truck. Ford denied the warranty repair on the seat stitching, out of our hands. Back to his original complaint...All of the tires on this vehicle are safe. There is nothing else we can do at this point

Based on the facts presented in our previous response, we did not have a valid offer to purchase because the offer as presented was based on the customer using a trade in as a credit against the sales tax. Once we determined the "trade-in" was a lease vehicle and not eligible to be used as credit against sales tax, the offer was not a legal offer. We are required to collect and remit sales tax in accordance with State laws. We were willing to accept the price offered by the customer, but we had to reject the offer because the customer was not willing to pay the correct amount of motor vehicle sales tax as required by law

We have two tires ordered to replace the two, they should be here mid to late next week...will call the customer when they arrive
