We are writing in response to the complaint received on the above-referenced case number. CA Construction is making final repairs to the subject property that was damaged. The owners filed an insurance claim and CA Construction was subsequently...

hired by the owners to restore the property.
As the contractor we are committed to working with the homeowners to expeditiously manage the repair process. We can assure you that our team has worked closely with the owners to navigate the challenges that were unique to this project. CA Construction has worked to obtain proper insurance approvals before completing repairs to ensure the repairs were covered. This takes time and is done on behalf of the owners - for their benefit.
Our team worked closely with the owners to ensure their material selections were precise and to their desired specifications. This did take some time and the owner did alter some selections after decisions had already been made. We were happy to make these accommodations; however, practically speaking, these types of changes do impact procurement and scheduling.
Another factor is that the owner elected to self-perform flooring repairs which has led to some schedule impacts.
The above are some examples of things that were unique to this project and take time. The project is nearly complete and we hope the Westbrooks are happy with the quality of the work, the peace of mind, and the service they have received when it is time to sign off on the work.

Yes this is an insurance job and I understand that certain things take time to get approvals,but this has gone far beyond what is normal.The contractors are stating that things were delayed due to me changing my choices,well that is a lie! I never changed/altered ANY choices or decisions during this entire process!All my choices were written with pictures attached and sent in texts so there was no misunderstanding or confusion.my choices remained the same and never changed.I had to accept some alterations only because the contractors brought the wrong materials and although it was less quality than what I originally had,I allowed it because I was sick of the job not getting done.This is not a unique job as contractors have stated. It is a very simple and standard job.The job consisted of Repairing roof,Replace drywall in 3 rooms and hallway,mud and paint drywall,replace vanity,replace carpet in 2 rooms,replace floor in bathroom and replace baseboards.They were suppose to do my tile floor also,but they have taken so long and are still not done with the simple things so I chose to hire someone that will get the job done in a timely manner and not have to deal with CA constructions itic excuses. This entire process and the problems that always came up has been nothing but excuses from the contractor and them laying blame on eachother.The supervisor for the job would blame his bosses for causing the delays and those bosses would blame the insurance for causing the delays,but every time I called the insurance regarding delays they always had proof that they had done their responsibilities. This proved that it was the contractors delaying or messing things up.For example, they started my bathroom floor,but didn't have enough material to finish it and said they needed to order more. Well it's been 4 weeks since they said this and nothing has been done. I've called asking when the floor will be completed and they keep telling me that home depot messed up the order and it might be at least another 2 weeks. I've called home depot and they said it only takes at most,3 days for any order.so once again it's excuses and laying blame on everyone except themselves. Im not an unrealistic or demanding person.This company is nothing but excuses and I will not have them putting blame on me in order for them to not accept their fault in all of this. I have all my documents that prove the truth in what I've said.
