We completed a concrete driveway project for ***Her existing foundation was very aged and multiple cracksThe soils that were under old concrete were the worst I have ever seen and we reomoved yards of old soil and brought in correct baseThere was no drain tile to her basementWe did
not damage in any means her foundation wallAny concrete redi mix trucks that delivered concrete stradled the joint driveway section and the condition of the soils was so poor that it would be impossible for back pressure and the truck tires were to feet away
As to the expansion joint she did not want such used as she was concerned about gaps between her house and the concrete and water leaking
After the pour *** pointed out some areas were standing water occurred, which was expected and understood by her as she shared a very poor condition driveway with her neighbor and the "pitch" that such created was very non condusive to drainageHowever after meeting with her it was agreed that we would come back and saw cut out and remove and repour about square feet of concreteHowever eventually *** did not allow us to return and complete the work, starting leaving very rude and threatening phone calls and started tape recording conversations
Our per square foot rate we charged her was $a square foot and I have repeatedly offered to her after she refused to allow us to come back to saw cut and repour that amount in refund of her purchase priceWe remain committed to our original repair agreement that she agreed to or to remit payment to her for the amount of sawcut and repair both parties had agreed to, which is approximately $

Review: This company replaced my driveway.

My concerns are summarized as follows:

1. The pitch to garage is incorrect and will cause drainage problems.

2. The workmanship was not done in a professional manner. There are broom lines, uneven surfaces and granular issues because of the rain (it was not covered). The curb is different widths and has similar issues.

3. Concrete is painted on the brick pavers on the front of the house near the sidewalk and the back of the house. These pavers cannot be cleaned and will need to be replaced.

4. There is splattered concrete on the side of the house staining the bricks on the house. This cannot be cleaned.

5. Damage to the wood of the house supporting the garage.

6. The sidewalk is damaged and cracked

7. The landscaping was damaged, concrete on neighbors stones and grass as well as my own.

I had another contractor out to look at the work and he said it was the worst job he had ever seen. It is clear that the work was not completed in a professional manner according to standard practices.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of all my payments. Not only do I need to pay for the driveway to be completely redone, I need to pay to get my property fixed.

Review: I Hired [redacted] to put in a new driveway last August. He did, however he didn't use any expansion board. This resulted in 'Street Creep', which is damaging my foundation, and causing multipule cracks inside my house. He also poured the driveway towards the house, so there is always standing water against my house every time it rains. Then it seeps into my basement through the crack [redacted] caused. He also had the concrete truck full up right next to my house, the weight of that caused the original damage to the foundation. The driveway has at least 27 puddles on it every rain. The driveway started cracking three months after it was put in. [redacted] also had one of his employees remove my back steps, which were destroyed in the removal process. [redacted] also scrached the foundation above the ground level while he was removing the old concrete.Desired Settlement: I would like $15,176 cash. The foundation repair is $6,215, the new driveway is $7,975, The new back stairs are $332 and crack repairs inside the house is $654.

Response:

We completed a concrete driveway project for [redacted]. Her existing foundation was very aged and multiple cracks. The soils that were under old concrete were the worst I have ever seen and we reomoved 20 yards of old soil and brought in correct base. There was no drain tile to her basement. We did not damage in any means her foundation wall. Any concrete redi mix trucks that delivered concrete stradled the joint driveway section and the condition of the soils was so poor that it would be impossible for back pressure and the truck tires were 6 to 7 feet away.

As to the expansion joint she did not want such used as she was concerned about gaps between her house and the concrete and water leaking.

After the pour [redacted] pointed out some areas were standing water occurred, which was expected and understood by her as she shared a very poor condition driveway with her neighbor and the "pitch" that such created was very non condusive to drainage. However after meeting with her it was agreed that we would come back and saw cut out and remove and repour about 150 square feet of concrete. However eventually [redacted] did not allow us to return and complete the work, starting leaving very rude and threatening phone calls and started tape recording conversations.

Our per square foot rate we charged her was $5 a square foot and I have repeatedly offered to her after she refused to allow us to come back to saw cut and repour that amount in refund of her purchase price. We remain committed to our original repair agreement that she agreed to or to remit payment to her for the amount of sawcut and repair both parties had agreed to, which is approximately $750.

Review: June 20 Evenaire installed a new A/C unit at my home. They did not pull a permit to do so. The installer also used profanity repeatedly. The first time we turned the A/C on - July 7 - it did not work. A technician came to repair it, and it only worked for 48 hours, until July 9. I requested that a different technician come out to repair the unit. The office called to say that [redacted], the owner, would be here July 10 - he did not show up. He then rescheduled for July 11 between noon and 1:45. He called at 12:35 to say he couldn't make it, and would be here July 12. At that point, I terminated the conversation, and the relationship with Evenaire. I called another company, who came out to look at the situation and they said the install had been done wrong. The A/C unit was completely out of refrigerant charge and they found a leak with nitrogen charge. Here is a list of the incorrect work done: the bell end of the coil piping was removed and they installed a coupler, which when soldered became too hot and melted the shraeder valve stem and cap, which now leaks and is useless. The unit they installed calls for no larger than a 25 amp breaker and they wired it to a 30 amp breaker. The coil used was a piston coil, and it should be a TXV. They also sprayed oil over the side of our house when installing the exterior unit. They did not properly wrap and secure the wraps around the copper pipe. They reused pieces and parts from the old A/C unit. Now I have learned that they are not currently licensed in the city of Madison.

Summary - they sold and installed a new A/C unit that only worked for 48 hours.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $2417 they charged for the install and labor.
