C & C Handyman Services Maintenance/Renovation

Review: My father and I hired C&C Handyman Services to renovate our bathroom. We hired and paid [redacted] $1,000 as a down payment on June 30, 2014. We were told that [redacted] and his workers would begin work on our bathroom within the week. As of today (August 11, 2014), [redacted] has only showed up to our house to do the work FOUR DAYS. You read this right.. FOUR days. I have called him and texted him multiple times and have even asked for our down payment back. He refuses. My father had to hire another contractor to do the renovations last week, as we have been without a bathroom, shower, and laundry facilities SINCE JULY 1st!! Unbelievable how unprofessional this so-called "company" is. [redacted] even texted me and told me that "since we are family, he tried to do us a favor and that we are being unappreciative." His company is a total joke. We are out $1,000. He worked four days and basically stole our money and left us high and dry without a bathroom. I contemplated not reporting him since "he is family", but I do not think his company should even exist after what he's done to us and he most certainly doesn't deserve a good review. I'm considering taking him to small claims court to get my money back..Desired Settlement: He should not have a business, point blank. His company is a joke and he has absolutely no idea what he is doing. He takes down payments and spends them on God only knows what..
