This is in response to *** *** *** *** *** brought his BMW in almost years ago with the car that would not move. After diagnosing problem found clutch blown apart which was not covered by extended warranty . Got approval from *** to install clutch assemble no fluids were
lost when clutch was done because you do not have to drain the trans, but we did recheck trans fluid level which was full, drove vehicle and worked fine on test drive. *** brought the car in later concerned with one of the gears grinding when shifting. The tech went for a ride, with *** driving, and diagnosed one of the synchronizers worn causing a gear meshing problem that was there before doing clutch. We could not drive it before the clutch was installed because it would not move with the blown up clutch. I called extended warranty and they approved putting a transmission in the BMW. *** had to pay a certain amount and extended warranty would pay the rest of it. I got approval from *** for his amount and approval to order the transmission which had to be special ordered. I got the transmission in and called *** for about a month to get his car in to do approved repairs. *** finally called and told me he was not going to do the job. I told him it was going to cost me $to send the transmission back and asked him if he was going to pay for the return, and he said he was not paying for anything. So *** is wondering how I can remember his car history? Sometimes its hard to forget when someone ends up costing you $out of your business pocket when you did everything you could to get his transmission done under warrantyAfter *** refused to have approved warranty work done and refused to pay the $return fee for the transmission, I called extended warranty to find out if they would pay for the return of the transmission. They said they were not responsible for the return, the customer was responsibleA year ago we went to a different shop management from Vast to Mitchell system and not all invoices transferred over to the new one. *** has called us several times, being very rude, and has had other people call my business, and they too have been rude to my employeesIt is the customers responsibility to retain his own records for repairs done. Thank You, *** C & D Automotive

Review: I'm trying to get my 04 BMW fixed but the extended warranty would like a copy of the receipt when C&D worked on the car. When they replaced the clutch, but C&D keep saying thet lost it but can pull up my info and tell me what car and warranty they fixed.Desired Settlement: I think that C&D should be held responsible in paying for the repair if they can not come up with the receipt, because my warranty would fix it if I can get the receipt.
