C & E Wurzer Builders

C&E Wurzer construction did exactly as they promised. They replaced both my roof and siding in a very timely and professional manner. Jackie M[redacted], their sales rep, was especially helpful. She was very thorough and knowledgeable in explaining the process. She made sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. Chuck, who supervised the project, was also very helpful in tying everything together. He went out his way to clean up a few minor adjustments to the job.

I am writing this so that others will carefully review C&E Wurzer Builders (company)before agreeing to sign any contract. Within a few days of a major hailstorm in Mukwonago, Wi, a representative of this company came to my home. She told me that I had hail damage (true) and that the company would advocate for me when the insurance adjuster came so that repairs could be covered. She told me about the wonderful work, the great products and was even upfront about the negative reviews about this company. I told her that I was going to review all the information I could find online before I signed a contract. I am so glad that I did!
One of the first place I looked was Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions wdif.org. According to Wi records, this business was incorporated in 2006. I guess I had misheard when the sales rep told me about 50 years in business. In these official records there is a note of an administrative dissolution at one point. Now I really had a bad feeling about this company, I then proceeded to look at every document in the folder that the rep gave me.
The contract is with C&E wurzer builders but other important documents including an insurance document, and a notice of cancellation are with a different company. The notice of cancellation is with C&E Builders. There is also an advertising insert from C&E Builders stating "serving over 50 years". A business card is with C&E Wurzer Construction. The different but similar names was really confusing so I called to get some clarification, whom exactly am I dealing with? Since I haven't heard, I just have to go by the official state records of the company that offers the contract, a company that has been in business for less than 10 years.

From the initial visit from Jackie [redacted] to the completion of our project, everyone from C&E Wurzer did a great job. Jackie stayed in touch throughout and Chuck [redacted] was very professional in communications with us and his crews. They kept both us and our insurance carrier informed from start to finish. Thank you very much Jackie and Chuck. Our home now looks like we wanted it to be over 20 years ago.

This past summer C & Builders did a roof replacement after I had severe hail damage to my house. I was extremely impressed with this company because they were there for me from the time they did the initial inspection until the completion. I was unable to meet with the insurance representative, so they sent one of their employees to meet with him and show him the damage. They also helped me file the claim as I was unsure how to proceed.

The field reps, [redacted] and [redacted], were able to answer all questions and worked around my schedule. I had daycare children during the week, so they were able to bring in a crew on a weekend morning and had the entire roof stripped and replaced in one day.

Hopefully I will never need it; but, they offer a 100% lifetime guarantee on their work. Never have I known a company that has that much faith in their work.

I highly recommend C & E Builders for your roof and siding repairs. I know I will contact them if I am ever in need of their services in the future.

Replaced roof after having hail damage. C&E Builders field rep explained process, worked with insurance adjuster and work was completed in about 11/2 days. workers Workers were quick and after roof was done clean up was completed. Excellent job.

I would stay away from this company. We had them come to our door after a hail storm & told us our roof had hail damage & they could get us a new roof thru insurance. My husband signed paper with them saying if ins would agree to pay we would go thru them. When I researched the company & their product I was very leery of going through them. When I questioned their shingles, they said I could go with any shingle I wanted. Before deciding on a shingle, they accidently ripped off our old roof! We had to quickly pick a shingle & since we now had no roof (and forecasted thunderstorms overnight, had to go with one of their shingles. They covered our roof overnight with 1 layer of ice shield with promise to put on the 2nd layer before putting on the shingles. They did not come back to shingle our roof until after 5pm the next evening. My husband was watching the roofers from the back yard & they just started putting shingles over the 1 layer of ice shield. If he hadn't been watching, I'm sure we would have never known, which I'm sure is what they were counting on. A lot of people would not have known what to look for & I'm sure they take this shortcut a lot. They just try to do the job quickly. It has only been about 6 months & I'm just hoping the singles hold up!

C&E Wurzer of Janesville is the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with. As seen in the other complaints they show up without notice and can’t ever return a phone call. Dealing with all the lies and promises from the sales people that don’t know anything about their own products was frustrating. They tried to put on the cheapest thinnest siding made (our local home improvement stores don’t even carry it that thin). They were in such a hurry to get it on that in the process they completely damaged the interior walls of one room in our home. It took 11 weeks and numerous phone calls before we finally had someone come out to fix it. The company they sent to fix it said the crew must have been banging the st out of it. To top things off, four months past and they never sent the invoice to the insurance company. I had to have our adjuster call and ask for it. If I could do it over again I would have hired anyone else to do the work.

Chuck, with C&E Wurzer Builders was great! His was professional during and throughout the entire re-roofing project. His crew worked quickly and cleanly. They were regularly cleaning the yard of debris and nails. They were all very polite and conversational with my family. They worked very hard, quickly yet thoroughly. Great Job my Chuck and Team. I would (and have) highly recommend C&E Wurzer Builders!

It was a good experience working with the the clain specialist and field supervisor. They fully discussed what work would be done on the roof and gutters. They explained the paperwork and what the payment would be. The work was done when I was told it would be done and completed on time. The roofing and gutter crews did good work.

Ethics and values are all but gone in many businesses today but that is not the case with C&E Builders. We had a very positive experience with them for a roof redone following a hail storm. From the initial roof evaluation to the last nailing of the finished product this business did an outstanding job. They helped with every step of the way including all the insurance paperwork. It's refreshing to see a company still exists with old fashioned work values!

I would not recommend this company. They use sub contractors to do the job and they do bottom of the line work. Many of my neighbors used other companies and I wish I would have too.

We had a positive experience working with C&E Wurzer Builders.
We worked with Ben & Alex on a new roof for our house. Ben did the initial inspection in June 2015, and thought there was enough hail damage to contact our insurance company. The insurance company agreed. C&E Wurzer put a new roof on our house several months later.
Before Ben came to our house, we had contacted a different contractor that had done some remodeling for us 10 years ago. We were interested in having that contractor do a small project that partially involved reworking a portion of our home's roof.
C&E Wurzer's project manager, Alex [redacted], was very understanding and patient while waiting several months for the other contractor to complete his project before beginning the roof installation. When the other remodel project was done, Alex had his roofing crew here the next day. Our roof is quite a bit larger than the average roof. The roofing crew had to endure stifling heat while completely stripping the old roof and installing the new roof. They were very attentive to every detail and did an excellent job.
We are extremely pleased with the result and the entire experience.
C&E Wurzer will definitely be at the top of our list for future projects.

Our experience with C&E Wurzer was positive. The process was efficient and they worked patiently with me to understand how the insurance claims worked.

The quality of the work was better than expected and they paid attention to details. They did a great finish to the job in cleaning everything up. Would have never known they were there.

Note: During the winter, an ice dam occurred and cause a leak in our covered porch. The inspection was immediate and the problem was resolved within a week...during sub-zero weather. Amazing...and much appreciated.

C&E Wurzer Builders just completed replacement of a hail-damaged garage roof on my property in Black River Falls, WI. From start to finish, Chuck [redacted] handled the job with professionalism and courtesy. He promptly set up a meeting with me and a site visit with the insurance adjuster, and scheduled and completed the job in an exemplary manner. His crew were efficient and thorough and completed the job ahead of schedule. Chuck met with me on my schedule and explained every step of the process and ensured my expectations were met or exceeded. I would use C&E Builders again without hesitation if the need arises.

The job was completed smoothly and very timely. My roof was completed in a day. Professional company that stands by their word. I haven't had any issues with my new roof and it looks great!

I highly recommend C&E Wurzer Builders. They did an excellent job of residing my house. They went above and beyond, in the face of high wind and weather challenges, to make sure I was satisfied. They put up new light fixtures I had purchased, let me add additional work during the project, and worked with me to fix small things that were damaged. The crew they used was polite, articulate and conscientious. I would give this company an A+ for the completed job.

I live in Waukesha and they replaced my roof. Throughout the process they were professional and on top of every detail. They were very honest and up front on all phases of the job. Kyle the sales rep. and Chuck the sales manager were great to work with. They went above and beyond what I ever expected. Anytime I had a question it was answered in detail and quickly. Kyle, always returned my calls right away or stopped right over to address any question. Unbelievable service in this day and age. The finished job was great. I plan on building a new house in the future and wouldn't hesitate to have this company build it.
