I was never offered a cash for keys offerThe sheriff told me to tell the movers what I did or did not want from the houseThey were told I did not want the furnitureI also told them I wanted items from a shed which were not put into storageIf laws state everything from the house is to be removed then some things were not put into storage
The movers took the drawers to the dressers making them unusable and parts of a bedframeIf they weren't going to come back and remove the furniture as stated they should of left the pieces of furniture so I could of donated it to the Salvation Army
storage units had to be openedOn July 4th they switched the locks on them but did not remove the furniture or put anything else in and I was not called
They also moved the files and important papers I took with me from the eviction; birth certificate, diplomas, medical records, my computers, family pictures and moved them to the back of storage and then put the furniture in front where I couldn't access anything I neededNow not having these files makes it hard or impossible to find a job and move on with lifeI had these things brought out with my when evicted so I was prepared and needed to put them back in storage temporary
While the procedure isn't easy it shouldn't be made harder

Again, I am truly sorry for your hardship. going through an eviction can be very stressful, for the most part we are dealing with very unfortunate circumstances. The process of eviction takes months sometimes years depending on how long the note goes unpaid.  The homeowner is aware of the eviction from the banks and the  attorneys. "Once a lender obtains a judgment, the lender would then file a Writ of Execution, which permits the lender to list the home for sale at a sheriff’s sale in order to satisfy the judgment. If the home is sold at a sheriff’s sale and the borrower remains on the property, the lender must then file an Action in Ejectment, also commonly referred to as an eviction.  After the complaint in ejectment is served, the borrower has twenty (20) days to respond to the complaint.  If the complaint for ejectment is uncontested, the lender would receive a default judgment and would contact the sheriff to schedule to actual date the ejectment would occur.  The ejectment is typically scheduled within 30-90 days. However, if the ejectment action is contested by having the borrower or their attorney file an answer to the ejectment, a judicial hearing would be required After the lender obtains a judgment on the ejectment, if the borrower remains on the property on the date of the ejectment, a moving company would seize the borrower’s personal property and place it in storage and would change the locks to the property. We as the moving company have no contact with the occupant other then supplying information of the storage name, address, number and the days it will be held for the owner of the belongings. We are not hired by the occupant to move what is wanted or what is not, we can not leave belongings of choice, we are the last step to have the property empty after all legal foreclosure/eviction proceedings have taken place. We are not hired as a regular moving company and our job is only to clear the property of all belongings and place them in storage for 30 days. We have no contact with the occupant and do not know what was said to the sheriff or the conversation. We went in and did what was required. Again, we understand this is a difficult time, The 30 days are given to the occupant to get all there belongings, the occupant can contact the storage company and make arrangements to remove or maintain storage. The occupant needs to maintain a line of communication within the 30 days. WE are sorry that this has taken place, I have also left a voice message with you, We at C&A try our best not to make it any harder, we must follow the laws and proceed as told, we truly try to make the process easier and handle it with empathy and dignity. Again, feel free to contact our office we are always willing to maintain relation, grow as a company and learn how to better ourselves in helping others who fall into this time of despair.

company hired by the bank. We follow the procedures outlined by the law that protect the consumer and the client. These circumstances are never easy and the process takes months involving many letter and phone calls. The client is always given a date of eviction weeks before it is set up with our company, they are assigned a date and time through the county in which they reside, this allows them time to move . In fact, months before an eviction a real estate agent goes out to the home and leaves documentation or speaks directly to the owner offering what is called a cash for keys procedure. This is when the bank offers the occupant money to vacate before an eviction order is even placed. The occupant has many months to prepare for the eviction before we are called to move. We do not speak to the client. Procedure for all evictions, no exceptions are as follows. The Sheriff's department handles the removal of the occupants, once the home is cleared we then pack all belongings up leaving the house empty and in broom swept condition. The occupant is given a notice as to where their belongings will be stored and has 30 days to pick them up. Under no circumstances are we allowed to leave anything in the property, we are then ordered to re key the home or board up if needed. We have been in business over 20+ years this never gets easy on any of the involved parties. We empathize with each occupant and handle each one with care and dignity. Unfortunately, once we are called we are to remove all belonging and place them in store at that point the client only has 30 days to claim.  I hope this is of some help. Please do not hesitate to contact me if any other information is needed. Sincerely,Adeline I[redacted]C&A Property ServicesAdeline I[redacted]2149 Penrose AvenuePhiladelphia, PA 19145Phone: ###-###-####Fax: ###-###-####
