On September 20th, 2013 I was contacted by a company claiming to be [redacted] demanding that I pay an amount owed to [redacted] from August, 2005. They claimed they had sent numerous requests to my address and never received a response. I never received any requests from [redacted] or anyone else regarding a debt to Dollar Financial. They threatened to contact my employer, issue a warrant for my arrest, and summon me to court. They offered an immediate settlement of $301.66, which I agreed to pay and provided my debit card information. They were supposed to provided information via email regarding the payment and have yet to receive said information.

My concern was prompted by a call I received in the last few days from [redacted] in Cleveland, OH claiming the same monies owed to Dollar Financial with the same threats. I refused to pay them any money and have not received any additional information. I have tried to contact [redacted] several and finally reached someone this morning saying they only process payments and this payment request came from Check and Credit Reporting. I was provided the number ###-###-#### and am unable to reach anyone.

I have discovered that there are numerous complaints against [redacted] or Check and Credit Processing and [redacted]. I believe they falsely identified themselves as [redacted] and am no longer sure they had any legal authority to collect payment on behalf of Dollar Financial.
