included a month limited powertrain warranty with the vehicleOn 1/the customer call us and said the vehicle was running roughSo we told the customer to take it to Midas on cty rd DThe vehicle arrived on 1/at MidasThe vehicle was checked out and was found the customer PUMPED DIESEL FUEL INTO THE TANKThe customer gave Midas authorization to remove the fuel from the tank and fuel systemBy this time the Warranty HAD RUN OUT DAYS EARLIERCustomer agreed to pay for the repair on 1/18/Customer did not pay for the repair, STOLE THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE MIDAS PARKING LOTA POLICE REPORT WAS FILEDCustomer called us MONTHES LATER ON OCTOBER 2ND ASKING US TO FIX THE JEEP BECAUSE IT IS STILL NOT RUNNING RIGHTWe declined to help on any any repairs on the engine but we would still honor our agreement on fixing the SunroofI told the customer the vehicle has to able to be driven to the Sunroof shopI told her once she gets it fixed so it can be driven we will fix the sunroofBEING THE VEHICLE WAS SOLD OVER A YEAR AGO, I WILL GIVE THE CUSTOMER TILL OCTOBER 31ST TO BRING THE VECHICLE TO USVEHICLE CAN NOT BE TOWED TO US AND LEFT IN OUR LOT UNDRIVEABLE!!! We had no idea the engine was Burning oil.Toyota's have a service engine light not a check engine lightAlso the VSC AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON TO DELETE TAMPERING WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT.We offered he customer a option to purchase an after market
warranty to cover any unexpected problemsHE TURNED DOWN THE WARRANTY.I contacted Toyota on the oil consumption problem and they said it was normal.We will offer the customer a 50% reduction on labor costs if he chooses to repair problems in the future
