If the problem areas are the dark (almost black) marks depicted in the photos, then touch up paint will work. Though the tape is necessary in the windshield installation process and is designed for that purpose so as to not remove factory finishes, we will remit the $to cover the cost of
the touch up paint

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
As I preciously stated, I gave C Auto ample opportunity to see the broken winshield to repair it. Their representives didn't allow this to happen because they failed to properly do their job and relay messages or provide the correct information internally. Again, driving 560 miles weekly doesn't permit me to be safe and wait more than the 2 weeks I already did, calling trying to get this resolved. Every time a response is submitted to my complaint, a different EXCUSE is provided. I will not accept any response until C Auto takes responsibility for their representitive's incompotence, and the FACT they failed to handle business properly, not myself. While many things could have been done differently, the failure came at the hands of individuals within their own organization. I had no idea that SafeLite was a competitor. Also, in my intial complaint and response, I was merely explaining the many issues within the 30 days following installation, not to be misunderstood that the issue at hand is I contacted C Auto more than 7 times in less than a 2 week period trying to get someone to help me. When I finally spoke with Ryan, he stated he had never heard of the issue until 10 minutes before my call. I found his name along with Eileen's online, so by day 3 of my calls I started calling asking for these 2 people or the owner, all while being told they don't take calls. Please take a look at the facts, speak to the representitives and if they are honest, you will see that I did give opportunity, in fact, C Auto had the situation totally in their hands until I realized no one was going to help me.

It seems to me that a reputable business would inform a consumer (as well as employees) that the former business had relocated and not gone out of business. As to whether I drove there first instead of calling or doing an internet search is irrelevant. What we're talking about is honesty. All the employee had to do was inform me that the business had relocated and I would have been on my way, but rather I was deceived either on purpose or through ignorance and it cost me $150. Is it not a business's responsibility to the public to keep its employees informed? Ignorant employees do not help the public consumers in the best way possible.

This claim appears to present two separate issues: a noise, described as a “wind” noise prior to April 15, 2016 and subsequently, a crack in the windshield that developed on April 15, 2016 following a car wash.  The weather—given what it was (i.e., neither below sub-freezing temperatures nor extreme heat), has no bearing on how or why the windshield cracked.   A “wind” or air noise, known as an “air leak”, is a relatively common occurrence, even, sometimes, with new vehicles off the assembly line, and it involves an easy fix.  Air leaks do not cause glass to break or crack.  Air leaks are nothing more than one or more spots along the vehicle’s pinch weld at which the urethane shifted or did not cure properly.  The fix, as is used in the industry, is a “reseal”.   The breakage of the glass, on the other hand, is entirely unrelated.  According to the claim, the glass did not break until April 15, 2016, following a car wash.  The vehicle was not brought to C-Auto Glass’s shop, but instead, was brought to another company’s shop down the road from C-Auto Glass.  Ms. [redacted] was invited more than once, as she acknowledges, to bring her car in for a technician to examine.  She refused.  She then had another shop remove the windshield and, presumably, destroy it, thereby preventing C-Auto Glass from examining the glass to determine the possible cause of the breakage and, more importantly, to determine whether the crack was of the nature that would have fallen under warranty such as a stress crack, as compared to a crack caused by an impact, which glass shops do not warranty.   Sometimes, windshields develop “stress cracks”, which typically can be ascertained on examination. When a windshield installed by C-Auto Glass develops a stress crack, the windshield is replaced at no cost to the customer.  That is C-Auto Glass’ standard operating procedure.   Significantly, however, C-Auto Glass was not given the opportunity to examine the crack or replace the windshield because Ms [redacted] took her vehicle to a competing shop instead of to C-Auto Glass’ shop.

Windshield was installed and too much urethane was used. C auto brought out a technician within a week to my job and he attempted to fix, but couldn't remove excess urethane. The company now refuses the work due to rust. But the rust was removed by a body shop and I have reciepts and proof of payment and visually saw the afterwork of the body shop who did an excellent job. Now C auto is refusing to fix their horrible work.
